Chapter 20 Part B

Riya was completely lost after the kiss. She looked bemusedly at Arjun. She leant against the door to support her body. She suddenly felt so shy and couldn't even raise her eyes to look at Arjun anymore. Arjun liked the way Riya was blushing and feeling shy. He came closer to her, used his finger to raise her face so that she could look into his eyes. As soon as Riya felt Arjun's touch on her face forcing her to face him, she closed her eyes in shyness.

"Open your eyes Ri," Arjun said softly while caressing her cheeks gently.

But Riya was feeling so embarrassed that she nodded her head in a negative way.

Arjun cupped her face now and said with a smile, "Ri, look at me or dont blame me for the consequences!"

But still Riya refused to open her eyes, she needed some time to come to terms with what had just happened. She did love Arjun a lot, but she had never thought that a kiss could be so soul-touching and that she'd completely forget everything when he'd kiss her. She felt a bit nervous of the power Arjun had over her. She was a bit afraid of her feelings for Arjun, and on top she was also feeling a bit shy to look in his eyes.

"Fine, dont blame me afterwards," Arjun said and released her face. Riya thought that Arjun was angry and was going to leave her alone in his room, and she breathed with relief because right now she needed some time alone. But suddenly she felt herself being lifted in Arjun's arms, she immediately opened her eyes and looked at him with surprise.

Arjun knew that as soon as he would pick her in his arms, she'd opened her eyes and looked at him.

"I did warn you," Arjun said with Riya in his arms and kissed on her forehead. "Where are you taking me? Let me down," Riya struggled a bit, but Arjun wasn't letting her go now that he had her in his arms. He took her and laid her on his bed and trapped her by putting his hands on each side of her head.

As soon as Riya felt herself being put on the bed and being blocked by Arjun's hands, she again closed her eyes.

Arjun leant close to her "Riya open your eyes and look at me please."

"Hmmm, this bed and room belongs to you now. And the owner of this room also," he said trying to enlighten the mood a bit. But Riya wasn't responding at all.

He smiled at Riya's antics to ignore him, he bent closer to her and kissed her on her closed eyes and was going to kiss her again when he felt her slightly trembling. He stopped midway before kissing her and observed her face. Though her eyes were closed, he could sense that she was a bit preoccupied. And he could see that she was also a bit uncomfortable.

Arjun sighed and only now remembered just how innocent Riya was, probably he must have scared the hell out of her with his kiss. He bent down to kiss her gently on her forehead, and again picked her up in his arms. He carried her out of his room till her room's door, where he told her that she could open her eyes now. Riya opened her eyes and looked everywhere except in Arjun's direction. She saw that she was near her room's door. Arjun put her back on her feet and said, "I'm sorry. Maybe i was a bit out of my limits. But I love you, dont ever doubt my love for you. Don't you trust me Riya?"

Riya finally gathered the necessary courage and looked at him in his eyes. She felt a bit guilty when she heard Arjun's words, but what could she do, things were going too quickly for her. She raised her hand and touched his cheek. She gazed with all her love visible for him in her eyes. She wanted to explain why she needed some time, but Arjun put his finger on her mouth stopping her from talking.

"Shhh, it's ok. You dont need any words to tell me something. Your eyes are like an open book to me. I think we should get married as soon as possible Ri," he said. Riya blushed even more on the mention of marriage.

"You need time, which i'll gladly give you Riya, but we belong to each other, so don't make me wait too much."

He cupped her face again and bent down to give her one final kiss before leaving her here, but just at that time Shaina opened the door. Shaina was surprised at what she was seeing in front of her, Arjun was trying to kiss Riya and Riya though looked shy, wasn't exactly indifferent to Arjun. All her anger and jealousy for Riya faded right then, she now realised that Riya never was competing with her for Rathore. She started smiling and felt like teasing these two lovebirds a bit.

Arjun looked a bit embarrassed at being caught like this, so he just strode away as quickly as possible leaving a blushing Riya to explain everything to Shaina. Shaina came near Riya, took her back in their room. She made Riya sit on the bed, and dragged a chair and sat opposite to her and waited for Riya to say something.

Arjun was waiting for Riya to come down for breakfast, he badly wanted to see her. He hadn't slept one wink that night. He decided to have a day off today, take Riya for a romantic drive and finally ask Riya's hand for marriage. Now that he thought about it, he hadn't really proposed to Riya till now.
