By the time Viren came back he saw Veera asleep on the sofa.
jeevika - "Viren cover her up with a blanket" she whispered.
Viren went near Veera and placed a blanket on top of her. He then took the food he brought and put it on the side.
viren - "I can't believe she has a boyfriend and you're behaving like its okay. What is wrong with you? Have these pain killers done damage to your brain?"
jeevika - "I want to punch you right now. Viren leave the girl alone. She has a life and she's allowed to date. She's 18 for goodness sake. I started dating when I was 15, so calm down"
viren - "15? You dated some guy when you were 15? Gosh our kids will think thats acceptable to do"
jeevika - "Calm down. Veera's a sensible girl, she would never go against you. I have full faith in her choice. I mean Vadhera's do pick out the right partners" she said in a happy tone
viren - "Yeah well I think thats not true. Vadhera's don't know how to pick the right partner"
jeevika - "So you think I'm not right for you? Why don't you go back to your Maya then, I'm sure she'll take better care of you"
viren - "Okay okay I'm sorry. But Jeevika I don't want some guy using her and dumping her. Falling in love and then having your heart broken hurts a lot. And both of us have experienced that. She's already going through so much, and if we go with Dr. Chen's plan, we need her to be strong"
jeevika - "I know, but imagine the happiness she gets with this guy. She's even willing for you to meet him. Viren don't be such an overprotective brother"
viren - "Fine, but I need to make sure he's good enough for her first. And whenever they hang out either you me or Virat have to be there?"
jeevika - "Good start"
viren - "By the way we still need to tell her about what Dr. Chen had mentioned"
jeevika - "We will, just give it some time"
viren - "Okay fine. Mind if I sit with you"
jeevika - "Of course not"
Viren sat on the bed with Jeevika and she rested her head on his chest. He gently stroked her hair and her face. She tried staying up, but with all the pain medications she slowly fell asleep on Viren. Viren just lay there with her looking occasionally and Veera and thinking how he had so much going on in his life right now. From his and Jeevika's wedding, to curing Veera's cancer, and now a new problem: Veera's boyfriend. He could help but smile and laugh now thinking about Veera with another guy. He was now feeling bad for getting so mad at her before. The nurse walked in after a while with Jeevika's food and placed it on the table. She told Viren that he should wake her up in a little bit, as she needs to take her medicines with the food. Viren let Jeevika sleep another 20 minutes before waking her up.
viren - "Jeevs, wake up. You need to eat something"
Jeevika slightly opened her eyes and moved her head. She then covered her face, titling her head hiding in Viren's jacket.
jeevika - "I'm not hungry"
viren - "I know you aren't, but the nurse needs to give you your medicine so you need to eat a little bit. Come on, get up"
Viren helped her sit up in her hospital bed and moved the food closer to her.
jeevika - "Viren, wake Veera up too and make her eat"
viren - "Okay"
viren - "Veera, wake up. Eat something, you haven't eaten in a while"
Veera got up from the sofa and picked up the sandwich Viren had got for her. She ate her food quietly while Viren sat next to Jeevika on the bed. After finishing Veera got up and started walking.
viren - "Veera, where are you going?"
veera - "I'm going to the bathroom, not to meet anyone. Would you like to come as my bodyguard and stand outside the door?" she said sarcastically and walked away.
Jeevika started laughing and Viren gave her a death glare.
viren - "Stop laughing and eat your food"
jeevika - "Your little sister just busted you. Man I love Veera"
viren - "Shutup and tell me how to make it up to her?"
jeevika - "How dare you tell me to shut up? I'm sitting her in pain, inside a hospital and this is how you talk to me? Get lost Viren"
viren - "Okay MOM! Im sorry, please help me?"
jeevika - "What I look like an old woman now? Seriously Viren leave now. You're so irritating"
Just then Veera walked back in.
veera - "I agree with you bhabhi" she said going back to the sofa and sitting down.
viren - "How come I'm always stuck?"
jeevika - "Because you make stupid mistakes"
Viren stands up and goes towards the center of the room frustrated where Jeevika and Veera can both see him easily.
viren - "Okay Veera, if you want to date go ahead. But don't you think as your older brother you should have told me first? We shared everything with each other. Even when I started dating this psycho in front of you, I told you first, not even Virat. I probably wouldn't have gotten as upset had you come to me first. And Jeevika stop bashing me. You're on really high medications and have no idea of what you're speaking"
Veera felt a little bad now. She should have told her brother as he was her everything. She gets up an goes towards Viren.
veera - "I'm sorry, please forgive me. I don't like to hide things from you but I get scared because I know you always want to protect me. I had no idea how you would react so I decided not to tell you"
viren - "You promise no more hiding things from me?"
veera - "I promise, I love you"
viren - "I love you too"
They both hugged and then looked at Jeevika.
viren - "okay okay I love you too"
jeevika - "Yeah thought so" 😛
