It has been probably the longest time since I experienced any emotion apart from annoyance, anger and irritation after watching an episode of Parichay. Last nights episode truly turned things around. Even though the integral aspect of the show (Kunal-Siddhi) are missing in action, I think the writers have done a great job of putting the rest of the characters center stage and making them appear more human than I have seen them in months. There was something very sincere about the episode and the emotions, the thoughts, the turmoil of all the characters was very well handled. I am happy to finally give the creatives some credit because they seem to be getting all the things right πŸ‘πŸΌ.

Just wanted to highlight a few things about the episode that were truly heart warming :)

Kunal perseverance to do everything he can to get Siddhi back was great. I loved the part where Kunal kept reminiscing about Siddhi's words and continued to type. There is possibly still a lot of guilt (for not trusting Siddhi), concern (for her well being) and fear (of losing her) pent up inside, and I think they played it out very well. The drinking is gone, the helplessness is gone and now there is only the pure desire to get Siddhi back and kick start the life Kunal Chopra should have lived. He is starting right at the bottom to hopefully reach the heights that the hero of this show deserves. Please CVs, don't mess it up, the start has been great (albeit a bit melodramatic at times :P), so we hope to see it progress in a similar manner 😊

The doctors words to Kunal was the next best thing. I loved how the doctor took Kunal's bleeding hand as the example and explained how Siddhi did not have the will to live much like Kunal did not have the desire to get his wound covered. The point was put across so well and there was no standard crap we see in every show with cheesy stuff like "Hum apni poori koshish karenge, par gaurantee nahi de sakte" "Ab unhe dawa ki nahi, dua ki zaroorat hai". The doctors explanation was sensible and he did not simply snatch away any hope of Siddhi's recovery. He clearly stated that if Kunal and his love for Siddhi, could evoke the desire to live, within her, then she would certainly pull through. I must say, that actor who played the doctor was really good, surprisingly pitch perfect acting on his part. And he essentially conveyed what we all have always believed, Kunal and Siddhi's entire lives are centered around each other and the effect they have on each other, whether it be out of love or hate, is incomparable.

The next aspect of the show that really caught me by surprise but genuinely touched me at the same time was Raj and Veena's words of advice to Kunal and their repentance for having put Siddhi through hell and killing all her on the inside. Raj's words of wisdom to Kunal were very sincere and the way his voice broke when he said "Usko bacha le beta" was so touching. The actor playing Raj, is very relatable as a father on screen and I really like the mature manner in which he speaks πŸ‘πŸΌ

And now, Veena maata, FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY she admitted their attitude is what killed Siddhi on the inside and came to repent all the hell she put Siddhi through. There was acknowledgement on her part of how wrong she was and that is all I have ever wanted to see. The scene was very touching and sentimental, and I was personally in tears while Veena spoke. Specially when she talked about how being an orphan Siddhi kept looking for a mother in her (Veena) and all she did was find faults in her . The fact that she came to recognize Siddhi's loneliness, the fact that she came to repent her actions and the fact that she was so emotionally distressed at Siddhi's condition was really touching. Alka ji was simply F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S, apart from the fact that the scene itself was well written and the dialogues were great, Alka ji's acting took the scene a notch higher. She conveyed the guilt, the sorrow, the turmoil of the character so well. Hats off to her, it was probably the most sincere acting I have seen in a long time πŸ‘

There was finally a last acknowledgement from Raj that Siddhi's sacrifice for the family was just more than what words could express "Nau saal guzaare usne", the pain on his face was evident and it was like he could not fathom how Siddhi survived so many miserable years all alone and after all she put herself through, they (Chopras) continued to spew their hate at her. The realization of how much Siddhi has done for them was very well enacted. And finally Seema motivating them and believing their love could bring Siddhi back was fantastic. Again some brilliant acting from both Raj and Seema.

I've written a little more than I expected to but truly, after months of torture and haphazardness, last nights episode was a very welcome change. The emotions, the dialogues, the writing, the acting was perfect and I can finally find some good things to say about the show. An added bonus to my happiness was the fact that Richa and Abhay did not make an appearance πŸ˜ƒ

All in all, a really good episode and I admit, the writers are doing a commendable job with the track. Now I wish Keerti comes back soon so I can be a 100% content with the show.

The effort that the cast and crew of Parichay has been putting in the absence of Keerti is really commendable!! Hat's off to them, especially Sameer sir for taking it upon him so that the viewers don't miss Keert's presence!!
Yes I could really connect with the Chopras yesterday mainly Raj and Veena!!

I liked many of your points! I wisht that they had shown more repentance from seema's side! She had always been so close to Siddhi. But recently due to circumstances she had said many horrible things to her

and the best thing happening these days is substantiated by the pet BG music whenever Raj comes to take screenspace...it happened twice yesterday...since start of parichay Raj has been associated with this music...

Yes the episodes these das do look like some effort is being taken!πŸ˜‰ I thought the thief chase sequence was absolutely unnecessary , could have been saved for another day! After all kunal Chopra's financial problems aren't resolving out over night!πŸ˜‰
While the Chopra's did express grief and guilt I am hoping this won't be it adn it will be further explored in the upcoming episodes!πŸ˜ƒ

I agree to each and every word u have said..really good post..Yesterday's episode was truely a breath of fresh air...Its really commendable efforts from entire team to work hard so that Keerti's absence is not felt..and even though she is not there, she is the one around whom the story is revolving around currently..this is the first time that Parichay story has been revolving around one of the leads...It has always been R🀒 centric show and story always revolved around her...

Yesterday's episode was truely realistic (except that thief sequence), Kunal's struggle, doctor's advice, chopra family's guilt and regret was really portrayed beautifully..

only complaint I have is they should have shown a scene where KC reveals everything abt Siddhi to C-family...that could have been an emotional scene with high drama quotient...I hope they will show that scene in future as FB...I really want to watch this...But when did KC manage to tell them everything.???πŸ˜•πŸ˜•..We have to assume that it happened when his dialogues were mute and he was explaining his plan to get back Siddhi...

Good post, agree with mostly everything you have said. I am liking what I am seeing from last one week.πŸ˜ƒ Seems Parichay is back on track. CVs are doing a good job.πŸ‘πŸ‘ I have my fears and few grudges too but then that's me. (yeh dil Always maange moreπŸ˜†) I try to ignore those few things coz the CVs can't look into my head and show exactly what I want to see...aare mughe toh kabhi kabhi BG score/songs se bhi prblm hota haiπŸ˜†... like 'in this situation that song would have been perfect' wala feeling but chalo never mind as long as they show good tracks and smart leads I am fine.πŸ‘πŸΌ

Thoda drama toh hoga even in future, I say this coz in my POV the 'public' likes/wants drama. Check out the top rated show for drama n OTTness. (not saying they might be bad shows but only from drama pov) Anyway have always felt that Parichay has Very good set of actors from the leads to Raj, Veena, Seema,Gaurav, Kapil, Vikram etc are excellent actors, bas their characters mess up and that fault lies with the CVs. So with such good actors if the script/track is good Parichay will do well too. Hoping for the best. Fingers crossed.πŸ˜›

Definitely agree with you and Chits on the fact that the thief sequence was pretty pointless but I guess it was just a way of stretching the episode. But I would rather take this melodrama than seeing stupid Richa's face and all the crap associated with her. Meanwhile, Kunal had a good jog, the fresh air will help keep his brain working...πŸ˜†

@red: I agree. It came out very randomly and there was no clear explanation to how and when the Chopra's found out about this. I assume it was very recently because we know back when Siddhi told Kunal everything at Kajrat, he gave the family some flimsy explanation for getting Siddhi back to the house. They all were still very grumpy back then so yeh, maybe he did tell them all that when his dialogues were muted. Either way, I'm glad they are realizing their mistake and repenting their actions.
