Viren was finding it hard to believe, that that girl standing a little away from him was his sister. It was hard for him to believe that his little sister, was holding hands with a guy. Viren was angry, confused, and had so many things going through his mind. Was that really his younger sister? Viren walked towards the apartment, hoping Veera would eventually see him. As soon as Viren walked up the stairs he noticed Veera looking at him. She quickly told her "friend" to go away as she walked upstairs to the apartment. She was really scared and wished Jeevika was with her right now. She knew she was busted.
veera - "Uhmm hi bhai, how's bhabhi doing" she said all panicky
viren - "Fine. Give me the key"
Veera knew in her head that Viren must have seen everything. They both went inside and saw Virat in the kitchen.
virat - "Hey bhai, hows jeevika bhabhi doing?"
viren - "She's in a lot of pain. She fell asleep so I though I'd come home and freshen up. Going to leave in a bit"
virat - "Cool, you want me to drop you?"
viren - "No, I'll take my car"
veera - "Bhai, can I come too. I'm done with my classes?"
viren - "You sure you have time? You don't have to meet anyone" he said getting angry
virat - "What do you mean bhai?"
viren - "It's better you ask Veera who she was holding hands with downstairs"
virat - "Veera, who were you with?"
veera - "a friend"
viren - "Friend or boyfriend Veera?"
veera - "Bhai, seriously?"
virat - "Veera I hope bhai is lying otherwise you're busted"
veera - "Okay fine, he's more than a friend"
viren - "So he's your boyfriend"
Veera was silent and she knew her brothers now understood. She just wished that they could understand her for once and how her life was on stake. It could end anytime and that she wanted to experience everything.
virat - "Veera, we want an answer"
veera - "Yeah he is. He was in school with me and we both got accepted to USC"
viren - "And you didn't have the need to tell us this?"
veera - "I knew you were going to freak out and be upset"
virat - "Obviously. This won't be allowed. You're not allowed to date and you're not allowed to be alone from now onwards"
viren - "Either me or Virat will drop you and pick you up from class. This is not going to happen anymore under my watch, got it?"
veera - "Bhai you don't even know him. He's such a nice boy. He knows all about you both and jeevika bhabhi. Give him one chance"
virat - "Veera, bhai made it clear that you're not dating, understand?"
Veera wanted to cry real loud so she just went to Jeevika's room and shut the door. Viren went to shower and Virat went to cook food for them. By the time Viren came out he saw Virat still alone outside.
viren - "Is she still inside? She didn't eat?"
virat - "No, she won't come out. What do we do?"
viren - 'Nothing. She needs to realize that she can't get everything her way. Imagine Virat if we would have let her stay on campus alone. God knows what would have happened?"
Just then Viren's phone rung.
vanshika - "Viren beta, are you, Veera, and Virat coming soon? Jeevika woke up and she's been asking for you?"
viren - "We're about to leave ma. Tell Jeevika we'll be there soon"
vanshika - "Here she wants to talk to you"
jeevika - "Viren, where are you? Why did you leave me?" she said in pain
viren - "I'm coming jeevs. I'll be there in 15 minutes, promise?"
jeevika - "Okay, and hows Veera? Is she coming also?"
viren - "Yeah, I'm not leaving her alone"
jeevika - "Okay come fast"
viren - "Let's leave Virat. Everyone there must be tired too. Will you drop them home?"
virat - "Yeah sure, how do we get Veera to come out now?"
viren - "Hold"
Viren near the room and knocked on the door.
viren - "We're leaving to go to the hospital. Virat and I are waiting for you outside. Come fast"
Veera didn't respond. She came out in a few minutes and her eyes were red. Viren and Virat both knew she probably had been crying which was bad for her health. Viren went to the kitchen and pour her a glass of juice and handed it to her. Veera took the glass placed it on the table, not drinking it, and exited the apartment. Viren and Virat didn't know what else to do but follow her down. Viren sat in the drivers seat as Virat sat next to him and Veera in the back. As Viren was driving he kept looking through the mirror at how quiet Veera was. As soon as he parked the car in the parking lot they walked inside the hospital. As Viren and Virat walked in front of Veera, Veera started feeling uneasy and held onto the wall. She was feeling really dizzy and tired. Viren slightly turned to see Veera way behind them and they both ran towards her. She was now sitting down on the ground.
viren - "Veera, what happened. Are you okay?"
Veera remained silent and got up with the help of her brothers. The three of them walked to Jeevika's room.
vanshika - "Veera , you alright?"
viren - "She's feeling dizzy"
Viren helped her sit down in the chair. Veera and Jeevika looked at each other and she saw that something was wrong.
virat - "Ma why don't I take all of you home to freshen up for a bit"
swamini - "Yeah, we'll be back in the evening Jeevika"
Jeevika smiled and they all left. It was Viren, Jeevika, and Veera in the room again.
jeevika - "Veera come here, sit next to me"
Veera just nodded no and looked down at the ground. She had started crying and was trying her level best to hide it.
jeevika - "What in the world did you do Viren? You can't even take care of her for a little bit. What's your problem"
Viren was silent and so was Veera.
jeevika - "Viren on the sink over there, theres a juice box. Give it to Veera. I don't even think you've fed her"
Viren did exactly what Jeevika said. He then handed the juice over to Veera who still didn't take it. She looked away and wiped her tears.
jeevika - "Veera come here. Your idiotic brother is dumb, ignore him"
Veera went towards Jeevika and sat on the stool right next to her.
jeevika - "We'll sort this out later. First eat something, before you get sick. Remember the doctor said it's really important for you to stay as healthy as possible for the chemo to work. Of course Viren wouldn't care about that, and would just yell at you"
viren - "So basically you were a part of this plan and knew everything Jeevika and didn't tell me"
jeevika - "Viren, you need to calm down and see how ridiculous you're sounding right now"
viren - "Yeah well I'm allowed to be. Veera's not dating anyone from now onwards and she won't be alone ever again"
jeevika - "Viren, how about you go get some food for Veera from the cafeteria?"
viren - "Fine!"
