viren - "Jeevika, I want an answer. Why am I the last one to know about this? I'm your husband, I should know as soon as you do"
jeevika - "Viren, please don't talk so loudly. Zaaine's asleep and he'll wake up"
viren - "No he won't. I'm still waiting for my answer"
jeevika - "Okay sit down"
viren - "I don't want to"
Jeevika took Viren to the sofa and made him sit down first and then she sat herself.
jeevika - "Look Viren, you know exactly why I didn't tell you"
viren - "Jeevs, you've done enough for me and us. You have to take this offer. Its next to impossible getting into UCLA's surgical program. You not taking it, will be the worst mistake of your life"
jeevika - "Do you know what the schedule of this surgical program will be? 6 days a week, at least 12 hours a day and that doesn't even include nightcalls. Zaaine is so young and its like I'd be missing every milestone of his, at least the 7 years. I can't stay away from him or you that long"
viren - "I'll be with him. Look I haven't found a job yet, but I now know what to look for. I'll work from home and take care of Zaaine. He'll be with me at all times, no matter what. Look Zoya's going to take the offer to"
jeevika - "It's different for her Viren, she doesn't have s son to take care of"
viren - "Yeah but look at the extended family she has now. She's married and starting a new life. And you don't think she'll have kids in a few years. Life goes on, and you end up managing"
jeevika - "Viren you need to understand though, that I don't want to anymore. There was a time of my life where I wanted to go into surgery, but now I don't. Okay we'll talk about this later, please I'm exhausted"
Viren just stared at Jeevika with nothing to say
jeevika - "Can you not ignore me please. You want to carry me to the bathroom?" she said trying to get into a romantic mood.
viren - "No"
jeevika - "Viren please, my feet hurt really bad" she said extending her hands out.
Viren had no option but to pick her up. She got onto his back and he gave her a piggyback ride to the bathroom. She gave a small kiss on his cheek.
viren - "You're kiss is not helping that much. You want me to be happy again then do something more special" he said trying to get naughty
jeevika - "Ohhh so you want to go that way huh?"
viren - "I'm just simply saying that its going to take more than a kiss to make me happy again"
jeevika - "Okay, let me change first then I'll pacify you. Go out now"
viren - "How about no" he said moving undoing her hair.
jeevika - "Viren, what are you doing?"
Viren put his finger on Jeevika's lips. He moved all her hair to one side, kissing her on the other. He slowly moved her around to kiss her on her lips, till she tried going away from him. Viren caught her wrist and brought her close to him, so close that their heads were touching. He reached to the back of her dress, as he stood there going in for a kiss. As Viren was pulling the zip down they both heard Zaaine starting to cry.
jeevika - "You're son has very good timing" she said smiling
Both of them went outside to the room and Zaaine was trying to sit up on the bed.
jeevika - "He looks hungry, Viren can you get me his bottle please?"
Jeevika walked around the room with Zaaine in her arms. Viren came and brought the bottle. Jeevika started feeding him, and Zaaine starting quieting down.
jeevika - "My poor baby was hungry"
viren - "You're always concerned about him, never about me"
jeevika - "Well obviously, he's the love of my life"
viren - "Really now? He's the love of your life. Well you know if you didn't have me, you wouldn't have him"
jeevika - "True, if he's the love of my life, you are my life. You are my soul. Without you, there's no me"
Viren was touched and went in for a kiss.
jeevika - "No romancing in front of Zaaine"
viren - "Why? He should also know how much his dad loves him mom"
jeevika - "He does. Viren go change and then take him from me. I need to remove this dress, feeling uncomfortable"
viren - "Okay"
Viren changed and came back out. He saw Jeevika sitting on the sofa with Zaaine on her chest. They were both asleep. Viren picked Zaaine up and put him in the crib and tucked him in making sure he wasn't feeling cold. He then went and sat on the sofa next to Jeevika waking her up slightly and slowly.
viren - "Jeevs go change, you're exhausted. It's almost 4 in the morning now"
jeevika - "I'm to tired to get up" she said sleepily
Viren took her hands and helped her get up. She then walked to the bathroom, removed her jewelry, and changed into her night suit. She snuggled into the bed next to Viren sleeping on his chest. He placed his arm over her, protecting her like any man would, of their wife, of their love.
