There should be competition for doing charity: Salman Khan
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, who is known for his philanthropic ways, feels that people should compete for doing charity.
"I feel there should be competition in this area (doing charity). I am sure everyone would be doing charity. I think everyone should open a charitable trust and then see where it reaches...to what level," Salman told reporters.
Salman, who has on various occasions lent his star power to charitable causes, said that many of the industry friends have come forward and supported his charitable trust 'Being Human' Foundation.
"We do offer help to those who need money for education, cancer and ailments. From the industry Sanjay Dutt, Karan Johar have donated something. But we are not taking any help as such... money is coming from clothing (from the stores)," the 47-year-old said.
"People can however offer help by logging on to the website," he said. The actor has stores of his clothing line 'Being Human' in Belgium, France, Middle East and Spain.
"The response has been good to the stores and we are happy about it...we are excited about opening the store in India," Salman said.
Talking about the USP of 'Being Human', he said, "the quality is good...its nice and different. One can make out ..differetiate between fake and real 'Being Human' T-shirts."
Salman, however said he would not be promoting the apparel brand in films because "the characters that I play won't look good in those T-shirts," he said.
