"What are you saying Yash? Are you out of your mind?"
"Maybe I am but I know what I saw."
"How can you be so sure? What if he was acting? What if he knew you were there and decided to put on a show for you? Huh."
"He couldn't have known I was there. He was so busy with Vicky. You should have seen him Meers (Nickname for her) it was as if that person could never do anything wrong. He was totally the opposite Maan. There was no anger in him. If there was then you know Vicky would never have gone near Maan."
"Still. We are talking about Maan and Geet's relationship. I can't be too sure. Whether he changed or not, I cannot allow to see Geet getting hurt again. You saw how she was before, right? You saw the fear and pain she had lived in before?"
"yes, I know"
"If you know then I don't think you would bring this crap up then. Look, its my request to you. Please don't bring this whole thing up with Geet. I don't want to see her hurt Yash"
"You think I do? All I am saying is if Maan has really changed then don't you think both can get back together? Not for them but for Anamika's sake?"
"No. it would be better if Anamika is not with that person. She doesn't need him but she needs to be surrounded by people she loves and cares."
"Every kid needs a father, Meers. Maan is her father."
"I know but don't forget how he became a father, too. He forced himself on Geet. He tortured her and he is a monster. People like him don't change. And even if we do mention this to Geet and even if they do get back together. What is the guarantee that he won't hurt her again? What is the guarantee that he won't hurt Anamika? Can you really hold yourself responsible if something were to happen to them because of something you proposed to her?"
"I know what you are saying but this time I know in fact, I saw a different person. A person that was filled with compassion and love. He won't hurt them again. I know. I have a gut feeling about Mana this time."
"your gut feeling won't guarantee their life." (She takes his hand and places it on top of her head) "Just promise me that you will never speak of this again. You will not bring this up with Geet. Ever."
"Meers." (He sighs)
"Promise me, Yash. Please. Promise on our unborn child Yash."
He looks at her shocked.
"Are you..." (he couldn't finish his sentence)
"yes, I am. I wanted to tell you later not this way but you left me with no choice. Please promise me"
"okay, Meers. I promise. I won't bring this subject up again. Not with you, Geet or with anyone else again." (Meera hugs him with happiness while he just hugs her back)

Geet came out of her room in the morning while nurse carrie Anamika. Yash quickly went to help Geet balance as both made their way toward the dinning room table.
"Beta I told you to rest" (Dadima scolded her)
"I know but I got tired looking at that room day and night. Plus, I wanted to help with the decoration and planning. It is my daughters naming ceremony after all."
"Great Geet." (Meera said with a smile) "We can make a list of the food and decoration schemes"
"hmm okay. Where is papa?"
"He went to talk to the pundit. He should be back soon"
"hmm" (Geet looks at Vicky who was sitting next to her quietly eating) "Vicky, you didn't get ready yet for school?"
"No. I am taking a day off today. I want to help too with planning. Can I blow up balloons?" (he asks with a big smile)
"Sure you can. In fact you and me can blow the balloons together." (Yash winks at Vicky)
"Vicky, you can do that later but first I want you to get ready for school. Education is important." (Geet said with a stern voice)
"Nope. I won't. You know why?" (He says with a victory smile)
"Why beta?" (Dadima asks)
"Because bhai told me himself that I don't have to go today. Whatever he says goes." (He puts a spoon full of rice in his mouth like he won something big. Geet takes the spoon out of his mouth.)
"Well, your brother isn't here now is he? Now, why don't you go upstairs and change for school."
"But...I don't want to go." (Vicky says almost whining. He holds his stomach and pretends that it hurts) "See am getting stomach pains now. I don't think I can move"
"aww poor baby." (Yash says like a baby) "Geet, if his stomach hurts then leave it. He can rest all day. Right, Vicky?" (He winks at him while Vicky nodes quickly)
"Okay. I understand he can stay. Dadima since we have a nurse already present with us. She can check up on Vicky and give him this big injection so his stomach doesn't hurt anymore." (She winks at Dadima while she tried hard not to laugh. Vicky looks at her scared and quickly jumps off the seat running outside yelling bhai.)

Maan was coming out of the house to go to work when he heard Vicky's voice yelling for him. He runs toward the house in panic forgetting everything. He enters the house as Vicky pounces on him hugging him tight. Everyone looks at them in shock. Geet slowly, turns around looking at Maan.
For once, she had a better view of him after she came out of the coma. He looked so worn out as if he hadn't slept in days. There were dark circles around his eyes, a few wrinkles around his lips but still he managed to look handsome. His eyes had so much affection she never saw before while he consoled Vicky. He didn't notice where he was or that everyone was looking at him.
Meera looked at Geet while she looked at Maan without blinking. She could tell tears were threatening to drop out of her eyes but she held herself back. Did she not want to appear weak? Or was she trying to hide her emotions in front of us? There was something different with her as she looked at Maan.
He did seem different than before but still it could be a drama. Can he be trusted?
Vicky hugged his leg tightly, not again thought Maan. He bends down holding Vicky.
"What happened? Is everything okay?"
"I don't want to go to school today. Tell Di and everyone you gave me your permission. Please"
Maan looked in front of him. Everyone was looking at him. He then realized where he was. He looked at Geet who's tears could fall any minute. He didn't know what to make out of that. Was she sad that he appeared in front of her? Of course, she was. He shouldn't have come here without thinking. Vicky hugs him as Maan stands up. He turns around to leave when he heard Anamika crying.
He turns around to see her little arms stretched toward his way. He wanted to go grab her and hug her since its been a while now but he controlled himself. He didn't know if he had the right to do so. Daddima looked at Anamika who was crying for Maan. It was a wonderful scene but she saw the confusion on Maan's face. She knew he loved that girl, the way he took care of her at the hospital. The nurse picked her up and brought her near Geet who was lost in her own little world and didn't even register her crying.
Dadima held on to Anamika and tried to stop her crying. She kicked her arms and legs as Maan had proceed to leave with Vicky. Geet comes out of her thoughts when someone poked her. She holds on to Anamika trying to make her stop crying.
"beta, she uhh is pointing toward Maan." (Dadima says hesitantly. Geet nodes her head and gives her to Dadima. She walks toward Maan who was facing his back toward them hearing everything."
"Beta hold Anamika. She is crying for you"
Maan puts Vicky down who hugged Maan tightly around his waist. Dadima walks in front of him and gives him Anamika. Maan looks at Anamika who had her arms and legs stretched out looking at him with tears. He slowly brings his arms up while Dadima hands her to him. Anamika pulls down his tie as she tried to climb up toward his shoulders, Maan smiled seeing her efforts. He brings her up making her rest her head on his left shoulder while he pats her back gently.
Slowly, Anamika stops crying and sleeps on his shoulder. Maan felt awkward standing there knowing everyone is looking at him especially Geet. He cradles Anamika in his arms until he was sure she is sound asleep. He hands her over to Dadima while Vicky jumps in his arms.
"I told him he doesn't have to go to school today instead I will be homeschooling him in my office so he doesn't miss anything."
Vicky looks at him shocked. Maan gives him a glare to shut him up. He carries Vicky out of the house ordering the servants to bring his book bag.
Geet reaches her hand out to stop him but stops mid-way knowing everyone is around. She takes Anamika from Dadima taking her upstairs spilling some tears along the way.
