Exactly my point!!!!! They could have actually should have taken Avantu into confidence. Stupid Harish and Preity---was it worth it hiding this secret which by the way would harm no one 20 yrs ago than to put Harish and Avantu's marriage in trouble???

But I guess the CVs didn't see this track through and just added it and put some illogical facts!!

I'd still say Avantika be told abt this "secret" (which is no more a secret)...Poor woman, those who pretend to love her are ready to give her more pain by hiding when they should rather be telling her that and she'd have patched up with Preety and Harish...😲

Its an interesting thought... Whether to reveal or not...and when!

And here my comments are based only on real life experiences... Not sure if the CVs have thought so deeply and in detail... Anyways... I always believe in the heat of the moment - just like decisions taken in the heat of the moment seem perfectly justified but later much later seem illogical to all but the decision makers... Similarly revelations loose their impact if not done at the right moment... There are no right answers - only gambles that we can take...especially when decisions are so critical...

Lets imagine the situation 20 years back - Preety is in love and commits an indiscretion. The man she loves inexplicably walks out on her leaving her with a stigma. Who does she turn to - he Dad - nooo... He was too busy climbing the ladder - he would have reacted explosively, he was not the mellowed down version of now. Avantika - definitely not - she has always shared a love hate relationship( I remember Avantika accusing Preeti of being covetous of allher possessions) just imagine Avantika 20 years back - how much more attitude and tongue she would have displayed. Mom, here I am guessing, had died... So she turned to Harish, who perhaps always was her confidante, friend and guide. And they did what they felt was right. They were also young and immature. They still believe they did right - and I feel they could not have done anything different. They were afraid if the family would be as understanding and perhaps they were right. Things change after 20 years...
So what was the right moment to reveal - when Avantika left Harish - definitely, if only that idiot had tried to mend her relationship. But high and mighty Avantika will not listen to anyone - once she decides she does not change. She carries her ego on her sleeve. Since she never revealed the real cause no one was the wiser. Harish continued to hope that she would one day return and hence put all efforts to earn money.
Since Avantika didn't reveal - Preety and Harish were secure in the thought that the secret was long forgotten - Pankhu's rishta would have raised the issue but as Adi said they dropped it after meeting P. After marriage when this matter surfaced in an ugly manner, could they have revealed? No - they would have become another Geeta by accusing the Gupta boy when the Guptas themselves had no clue...the situation would have become uglier for all - Avantika can suffer a bit more for being such a stubborn moron... All in good time only can it be revealed to her...

Because I believe in the heat of the moment and the right moment... But this is purely imagining a real family...😆
