Chapter 11: Khushi's Bitter Past
Geet and Khushi went inside the house...They saw tht Riddihma's mom, Dr.Padma, was preparing the last things...
Padma:
Khushi Geet you both came? I'm so happy tht you both could make it on time..You know I was waiting for such a long time..so tht I can give u food before Armaan comes...she said lovingly as she loved both of them like her own daughter, Riddihma...Bt deep inside she loves Khushi more than Geet coz she knows wht happens at her house bt still she tries to make everyone happy which makes her to an angel...Bt nevertheless she loved all the 3 girls...
K: Ya Aunty...how could we miss this special day? she smiled back..
G: Bt Aunty we will eat later on as we are already late now...
P: No No its not a problem u can eat now, I will...
K: No Aunty we will eat later on in the night like always, I hope u made enough food for us foodies...she said while giggiling...
G: Yes, you know we skipped our lunch for ur food...she said while dreaming about the delicious food made by Padma...
Khushi and Padma just shook their head while looking at Geet...Suddenly Ridihma's father, Dr.Shashank, stood behind Geet and began to talk to her...
Shashank:
There is Food everywhere...Left there is a pillar of biryani ( he said while pointing to his left and Geet looked while dreaming about food, to the left)
Right there is a pillar of samosa's(he said while pointing to his right and Geet looked to the right)...infront of u there is a pillar of mitthai (sweets) (he said while pointing infront of him to Padma and Geet looked to her front, still thinking about food) Padma just blushed at his statment and Khushi just giggled looking at Geet and smiled shyliy looking how Shashank was loving his wife infront of them...
Shashank: Look, her lips are like the sweet syrup of Jalebis, her nose is like a small piece of Barfi and her eyes are like beautiful perfect round shaped ghulab Jamun...he was talking and talking and Padma was blushing harder and harder hearing his words infront of the two girls...
Geet came back frm her dreamland and stepped at Khushi's side...
Shashank walked further to Padama and kneeled infront of her and streched his hand out where a red rose was...
S: I love u...
Padma shyly took the rose anr run frm there...It was his daily routine to gift her a red rose since they fall in love...
Shashank just looked at her frm behind when he felt two light hands on his shoulders...Geet and Khushi stepped infront of him...
G: You didn't said wht is behind me? she said while pouting...
Shashank bend to them and said behind u there is the world biggest and most delicious living Puri he said in dreamy voice making Khushi and Geet lick their lips... you know wht they named the Puri he asked both of the girls who had their eyes closed...
K: No...she said thinking of the food...
G: No...
S: KHUSHI...he said while laughing loud as he couldn't control his laughter anymore...both snapped out of theri dream...Geet also started to laugh while Khushi pretended to be angry...
S: And you know who is standing between all this food..he asked while trying to stop his laugher..
G: No...she said whil laughing...
S: Its the world biggest and largest hoover GEET...he said and run away frm there while Geet run behind him...
G: I look like hoover she said while running behind him??
Khushi laughed like there is no tomorrow...
Both Shashank and Geet stopped to look at Khushi, as she rarly laughed like this..she was looking so beautiful, innocent and really sweet tht Geet tried to be angry with her as she laughed at her bt couldn't...Padma also joined them and was looking at Khushi...
Padma cupped Khushi's face: Khushi just laugh like this u look so beautiful when u laugh...
Khushi nodded and smiled at her...
Before they could talk more the bell rang and Armaan arrived with his family...
Khushi and Geet went to Riddihma's room to make her ready and freshened up...
It was a smooth evening for all...Everything went perfect...The families talked and instantly fixed the marriage as they were Family friends and the evening was more to talk about the wedding preparations...The dinner went also good and Riddihma, Khushi and Geet tried not to eat much infront of Armaan and his family...
After they left...Shashank and Padma talked to Riddihma, Geet and Khushi for a while bt soon they realised tht it was in vain as all three girls were busy with their food and so they wished them a good night and went to their own room...
They were sitting on the ground and eating with their hands without any fork or spoon...
G: Today was such a hectic day...she said while eating...
R: Yes, I mean just before our normal duty had started we started our work...
K: And now u want extra money or wht? she said while teasing them...
G: Maybe we should ask...she said while thinking about this idea...
R: No, I didn't meant tht...You know when we saw the women fainting in the temple, I was afraid..
G: Me too yaar...
K: Which women?..she asked while eating her food..
G: Yaar Khushi...your new patient wht was her name again?
R: I don't know bt her brothers name is Arnav Singh Raizada...
Khushi stopped to eat and looked up at them...
G: How come u only remind his name...she teased her...
R: Shut up...how can someone forget his name...he said it a hundred times...like this: "If anything happens to my Di I will not spare you, this is Arnav Singh Raizada's promise to u"..she said while imitating him..
G: Haha ya or: "don't u know who I'm"?? I'm ASR.. Arnav Singh Raizada...or...
K: Stop...she said loud as she remembered wht happend today coz of him and wht he did with her...
Riddihma and Geet stopped instatnly and looked to Khushi...
G: Wht happend she asked concerned...
R: Are u okay?? she said while putting her hand on her shoulder...
K: Ya ya I', ok...I'm just really tired as it was a really long day and I would like to rest now...ok? Gud night...she said while standing up frm there and leaving to Riddihma's room as all three girl slept n one room on one bed...
Riddihma and Geet looked at eachother..
G: Wht happend suddenly?
R: Maybe she is really tired? Let her rest...
G: But we will eat...she said while changing the topic as she didn't wanted Riddihma to think tht coz of her all this happend..
R: Yeah we will...she smiled...
And both continued to eat...

Khushi reached the room and quickly changed in a night suit, which Riddihma gave her a while ago...For the first time she was wearing a knee length trouser and a sleevless top, bt she didn't had any other option coz her foot was hurting badly and as soon as something touched her foot, even if it was something light, it hurt badly and so was the problem with her arms which had marks frm Arnav and her Buaji's hands...
She quickly went to bed although she was tired and every inch of her body was hurting bt todays activities and her Past were hurting her more then this...She still remembered wht happend one year ago which made her life worse than it was before:
Flashback:
It was Payal's wedding day...Although her Amma and Buaji tried to keep her away frm every wedding ritual it was not possible as all people would ask questions about her whereabouts and to make the day perfect for Payal they allowed Khushi to join the wedding rituals...
It was time for the baraat to come and after a while they reached the house...There was still time for the wedding so the groom and his family also chatted with the guests...
Khushi was on the way to Payal's room to ask if she was ready, or if she needed anything and to inform her tht the groom has arrived...she was about to open the door of Payal's room when she felt a tug on her wirst and before she could realize wht was happening she was pushed in an other room...
She quickly looked up to see who it was bt stopped as she saw tht it was he would-be-Jeejaji Vishnu:
K: Jiju? Wht happend? Is everything Ok? You need something? she asked worried tht something bad happens in Payal's wedding..
He looked at her face and then travelled his gaze down:
Nothing is ok bt it could be fine...I need something he said while still looking at her body making her uncomfortable...
K: Wait let me call Amma...she said while trying to ecape him as she was feeling his gaze at her...
Just as she was about to escape him he held her by her wrist and pushed her on the bed...Khushi was shocked with this behaviour frm her would-be-jeejaji...
K: Wht are you doing? she asked in a scared voice while going back on the bed on her elbows as he was coming near her..
V: I said tht I need something frm you...he said while coming on top of her...
Khushi had tears in her eyes...
K: Wht do u need?
V: YOU...I need you...Khushi you don't know how crazy I'm for you from the first time I saw you...Payal and the wedding were just an excuse to get you...Khushi just one time...I swear nobody will come to know...One time and everything will be fine...I will marry your sister and we will behave like nothing happend and...he couldn't finish as Khushi slapped him...
Khushi was shocked and felt disguisting hearing his words...
Before she could push him he held her wrists and tried to force himself on her...He tore her sleeves, touched and kissed her forcefully while she was trying to get rid of him by hitting and scratching his face bt it was of no use he was too strong for her...
Suddenly the door opened with a loud bang...Garima, Buaji and Payal came in...
Vishnu quickly let go of her and stood up...Khushi was still in a state of shock tht her would-be-jeejai forced himself on her and when she looked up she saw her family standing there...Before she could speak anything Vishnu spoke...
V: Aunty, I respect u as my mother and you as my Buaji just like Payal does...he said to Garima and Buaji...And I see Khushi like my own sister bt wht she just did now made me feel disgust of myself...
Buaji: Wht did she do? she asked stammering...
V: I can't even tell u wht she did...bt before she starts to tell any rubbish I will tell u the truth...Amma Buaji Khushi tried to seduce me and forced herslef on me he said while looking away frm them...She called me into this room saying tht there is a problem...First I denied coz frm the past some days I see tht Khushi has some filthy thoughts about us being together...Bt she said tht you need some help...So I agreed to come with her...When we reached the room she closed the door and forced herself on me...I even tried to explain her tht this is wrong and tht I can't betray Payal as I love her bt she said tht nobody would come to know...I didn't knew wht to do...I couldn't beat her coz she is a girl and your daughter...An if I would have beaten her she would say tht I forced myslef on her and everybody would believe her as I'm stronger than her...You tell me wht should I do??
Garima had tears in her eyes seeing this and listening to his words made her tears flow like a waterfall...Payal stumbled back and Vishnu quickly held her...
V: I know its hard to hear this bt its true...And I think tht there is no way tht this marriage can happen coz I can't be able to face u all after this and when I will see Payal I will remember wht her sister tried to do and I will never be able to look up in her eyes...
Khushi was shocked how quickly Vishnu changed the tables and made her the characterless one...she was about to say something when Buaji came to her and slapped her so hard tht she hit the dressing table...Before she could recover frm the hard slap which made her ear numb Buaji pulled her by her hair and made her llok up...
K: Bua..ji...I didn't...before she could complete Buaji started to slap her without any break...When her hands started to hurt she took an iron and beat her up...Khushi tried to safe herself frm the hard iron bt Buaji wouldn't let her flee...
Buaji (while hitting her): You characterless girl...how can u even think of this...Just coz Vishnu beta didn't beat you, you thought you can force yourself on my Payal's husband and we would never come to know? I knew your blood is filthy bt I didn't knew tht you can fall so low, tht u will try to snatch my Payal's love...Bt now I know its in ur Blood to snatch the man frm other women and make relationship with them...Who knows with how many men you did this...I know tht this wouldn't have any effect on u bt this is for hurting my Payal and for the helpless of Vishnu tht he coulnd't beat u, for him I will beat u...
When her iron broke she took her wooden chappal (Shoe) and hit her with it...
All the while Garima was crying...Vishnu tried to leave frm there bt Payal followed him to stop him...
Payal: Vishnu Ji...Plz don't go...she cried...
V: I'm sorry Payal...bt I can't...I just can't...he said while trying to get rid of them...he wanted to go away frm there as soon as possible before the truth would be out...
Garima saw how her daugther suffered...she pushed Buaji by side and looked at Khushi...
Khushi on the other hand had blue-purple bruises...blood was oozing frm everywhere...She couldn't feel any part of her body even breathing was becoming hard for her...
She looked up at Garima..
K: Am..ma...t...trust me...I didn't do...
Garima: Don't u feel ashamed...How can u do this? After all the things which I did for u how can you do this to my daugtehr?
K: Am...ma...she said in disbelief and a helpless state...
G: Don't call me Amma...I just have one daughter and this is Payal and only she has the right to call me Amma...You are just the illegal child of my husbands mistakes...she yelled at her making her closing her eyes while tear rolled frm her eyes...
Khushi was hurt to hear this frm her mother and this hurt her more than her Buaji's assault..
G: Its in your blood to be cheap...People like u never get enough of wht they get, they always want more than this...Bt I didn't knew tht you will stoop so low, after I accepted you and made u to a legal child...Bt today u showed tht the child of a bitch, who steals other women husband for their own satisfaction, will also be a cheap child no matter how good u will keep it...Its just in the blood...and in ur matter cheap wouldn't be enough...You are also like your mother a s**t, a wh**e, a bitch who threw u on my face when u were born, saying tht u r my husbands child bt I don't believe coz my husbands blood can't be this dirty like urs is...And how can I believe this coz ur mother slept with every man...she barked at her...
Khushi stood up and replied: Don't talk like tht about my mother...she whispered...as she couldn't bear anything more against her mother...
At this Payal snapped: Why? Why should Amma stop? She is saying the truth? This women is bitch, a wh**e, a f**king women who used her body to...
K: STOP IT...she screamed and held her ears...
Buaji again started to beat her: Don't u dare to answer my Payal back...
After a lot of beating session Buaji let her lie on the ground...She was lieing lifeless on the ground bt even then they didn't stop to assault her...
Garima: Buaji was right I shouldn't have bought u in my house...You should have died along with your cheap mother...
Buaji: Garima don't...Today I'm breaking all the remaining symphatie, frm today she is offiicially a no one for us and if she still wants to live here then it will be her own decision tht she lives with us WITHOUT any relation , like her mother lived with all men...
With tht Buaji dragged Garima and Payal out while Payal said:
I PRAY THT THIS WHT HAPPEND TO ME TODAY WILL ALSO HAPPEN TO U...she said and went frm there...
Khushi whispered: And...I...pray...tht..this...wht..happend..to...me...will...never...ever...happen..to..u...
she closed her eyes to adjust with all this when someone talked to her...
V: Look wht you did...I just asked for one thing and you denied...If u would have agreed this would never happen...he said while placing her hair behind her ear...Bt now its too late...Actually I wanted to thank u coz u saved me to marry a fool...When I can't get u than wht should I do with ur stupid sister Payal...So thank u and Good Bye...he said and left frm there..
She was lieing there on the ground in her own blood with countless and horrofying looking bruises...her tears had dried...she was totally numb and couldn't feel any pain...the words which were spoken by her Buaji, mother and Payal were still echoing in her ears and her every word directly hit her heart and tore it into countless little pieces...her heart was feeling like it had stopped to beat...Well it never actually beat in all these years bt today officially her family has murdered her pure heart and soul...
End of Flashback...
Khushi quickly opened her eyes and sat on the bed...she tried to breath it was like she would suffocate in the room...She stood up and went to terrace...
This was just a part bt also the bitterest part frm her Past...
She still had marks all over her body frm one year ago...
She wiped her tears bt stopped as she saw Arnav's hand marks on her wrist...Coz of him she again remebered her past, as mush as she wanted o forget it bt there was always someone who reminded her of her Past. First it was her family who would do ir regularly and never let any chance go to remind her of her miserable Life and today it was Arnav Singh Raizada who reminded her of her bitter Past...
K: .You are also like him...I hate u...I just hate u Arnav Singh Raizada...with tht again tears started to fall frm her eyes as she remembered the encounters with him...how he picked her up in the temple, how he let her fall, how he forced himself on her in her cabin and in the store room...
When she couldn't take it anymore she just went into the room and lied on the bed to get some sleep...
