Trust you to come out with a masterpiece like this one. 😃

I love this song. This movie Sangam was a favorite of my Dad's and I have watched it quite few times. In the movie too the circumstance in which the song was sung was very very similar and quite sad. In the movie the two guys Raj Kapoor and Rajendra Kumar were best friends. She loved Rajendra Kumar but ends up marrying Raj Kapoor. When the husband comes to know he is devastated and so are all the other people involved in the mess. In that too Raj Kapoor was oozing sarcasm and anger but honestly even though that was good, no way could it come close to Gurmeet's portrayal. 😳 I thought the New Year episodes and the final revelation/confrontation in front of the family were Gurmeet's best in this whole show.

And Kratika what to say about her. Ditto to everything you said. Like you also mentioned I am bowled over by both these actors voice modulations. Never did they go over the top. Even when Aarti was yelling out ILU and then Yash yells back in response to that, they had such amazing control over their voices.

👏👏👏...Borna, i don't know what you ate that made you come back with another bhaang of lyrical interpretation this fast but i'm not complaining. That was one unhappy new year celebration but as a viewer, i can't forego that the characters do touch that deepest emotion in us.

Many of the songs, I recognized because it was used by them and not where it was originally scored for. It becomes a sweet memory for a particular scene or event that i sometimes feel guilty for not crediting where it was taken from😳.
I love that scene where Yash has a smirk on his face and Aarti was trying to get across his feelings with the song. Thank you very much for another well-presented piece on Episode 226.

"Another bhaang of lyrical interpretation" 😆 Enid, that first line of yours is hilarious! No bhaang here 😛 Just a dose of Gurmeet-Kratika/Yash-Aarti is lethal for me, you know.
It's funny...I didn't even pay attention to the fact that the New Year celebration was so painful for Yash and Aarti and the rest of the Scindias until my third viewing of last week's episodes, perhaps. I was so caught up in the emotions and the way the events were unfolding that I nearly forgot what time of year it was for them. It made for one amazing new year, that's for sure.
Sometimes if I hear a song in a show, I am so moved by the rendition that I rush to find out where it was originally used. That was definitely the case with this one as well.
Oh, that smirk was enough to give me quite a shock! One of my most favorite moments from the song sequence, without a doubt! Gurmeet's expression left me stunned for a while...until Kratika's expressions broke my heart again at the end...
Thank you very much for reading, buddy! 😃

Just because of you , now this song holds high in my favorite list .
just listened in you tube and saw the moments on arya to feel the essence which I missed due to lack of understanding of meaning
thank you borna

Loved your detailed take
loved it
this made me see the episode once again

Aditi, right? (Please correct me if I'm wrong!)
Thank you very much for taking the time to read through my take, translation and all! 😊
I don't know if I was able to grasp the beauty of the song through my rudimentary attempt at translating the words, but if my interpretation helped you gain an understanding of how the song related to Yash-Aarti at that point of time, then I am so very glad! Mission accomplished, as they say!

*sigh* You are too kind, Kirthi. Much too kind...

I have heard about Sangam, but I never got a chance to see it...If I did, then I don't remember. Anyway, thank you so much for that summary and the context! Gurmeet was so spectacular in those episodes, I completely agree! His expressions during this song left me wide-eyed; the bitter sarcasm was as breathtaking as it was shocking.

*nods* So much control over their voices and their bodies, always. And because of that, I find it impossible not to mention all those moments that make such an impact because of the understated manner in which they are executed.

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment, Kirthi!
