A drastic fall on the set dampened Aamna Shariff's plans to do a performance for Star Plus' Diwali Dhamaka special. The actress had previously planned to do a solo number for the episode, but had to change plans after the injury.
"I had a fall and tore my ligament. I would have loved to perform a solo number had I not met with the accident," she rues.
Cameo queen
Since she couldn't do a full-length song, Aamna decided to make a brief appearance instead, just like Kajol did in the KANK song, Rock 'n Roll Soniye. "I didn't want to disappoint my fans by cancelling my presence on the show altogether, so I did a cameo on the Rock 'n Roll Soniye song. I couldn't put too much strain on my leg so the dance moves were kept to the minimum."
Now well on her way to recovery, Aamna says her leg is in a much better shape. Apart from her regular work, Aamna has once again made it to the nomination list at this year's MTV Style Awards. "It feels great, but I don't know if I will win the award for the second time!" she says.
Recently, Aamna and former co-star Rajeev Khandelwal returned on screen together since Kahiin Toh Hoga, to host a special anniversary episode of Saas Bahu Aur Saazish for Star News.
Reunion time
Aamna and Rajeev were also supposed to work together post Kahiin To Hoga on a new show. However, that project is not happening anymore. "We are not doing that show anymore. I know our fans want to see us get back on screen. Maybe it will happen in the future," she hopes.
About her exeprience of hosting the anniversary special with Rajeev she says, "It was exciting and we had loads of fun. There were lot of phone calls from fans all over the country. Unfortunately, the phone lines were jammed and we couldn't take all the calls."
