'Kai Po Che actors are very distinct and yet alike'
The bond that links Ishaan Bhatt ( Sushant Singh Rajput), Omkar Shastri ( Amit Sadh) and Govind Patel ( Rajkumar Yadav) is the driving force of Kai Po Che. Here are three characters so distinct, you could tell them apart; and so alike, the lines could blur!

Ishaan: He is the quintessential leader. Popular through his growing years as 'Mr Most Likely To Succeed', he dons an outward alpha-male avatar that acts as a balance for his insecurity as a sporting 'has-been'. His is a pure soul and his understanding of life is straightforward with generous dollops of naivety. Sushant brings Ishaan to life like his own. With his sharp eyes, refined features and athletic countenance, I felt Sushant was born to play Ishaan. When you watch the movie, you'll agree with me!

Omi: His character goes through flows and ebbs beyond his comprehension. His is a loyalty that defines a leader, with no personal aspirations of a similar nature. The confidence may not be in place to project himself outwardly, but that only stems from a lack of aspiration to do so. Circumstances beyond his control push him to the edge and bring him back in due time. His is a journey of redemption and he strikes a fine balance between venturing beyond and coming into his own. Amit has a dynamic and vibrant personality, projecting a sensitive energy that captivates you with its innocence until you're turkeying for more. There's all method to his madness - and some madness to his methods - that makes this guy a director's delight.

Govind: His character provides balance and is the voice of reason and stability. His is a world of facts, numbers, pragmatism, rationalism and reality. He stands tall in his shoes, and his voice projects well over the din of everyday mundaneness. Love finds him in an imperfect world, and brings him closer to himself. We live in an era inspired by Steve Jobs, where all good things come in small packages. And even in this world, Raj is a powerhouse. When it comes to his work, he'll never fall short and never run dry. No other actor could have portrayed the character with such feistiness of spirit and ferocity of soul.

They're like Earth, Air and Water in perfect harmony. The chemistry of these three extremely dedicated and exceptionally talented actors has set ablaze on screen and that's like a fourth character. It crackles with life, bursting with authenticity. Invisible in form, yet with a presence looming powerfully over every scene and defining depth in every character, every dialogue, every nuance.

Siddharth Roy Kapur, Managing Director, Studios, Disney UTV, says, "The film, adapted from Chetan Bhagat's bestseller, 3 Mistakes Of My Life, is one of those rare scripts that have the power all at once to move you, entertain you and make you think."

Kai Po Che, produced by UTV Motion Pictures, releases February 22.
