viren - "Jeevika!!! I'm starving!"
jeevika - "Okay I'm coming out in two minutes. Check the fridge, there should be something to eat"
viren - "There isn't, how long does it take to change? I told you I could have helped, it would have been much faster 😛"
jeevika - "Shutup"
Jeevika came out and saw Viren in the kitchen eager to eat something. Just then her phone buzzed.
jeevika - "It's Veera, she just finished her first class and is walking over to the next building"
viren - "I love how she messages you instead of me"
jeevika - "Are you jealous Viren" she said with a big smile on her face
viren - "Very! now will you make me something to eat?"
jeevika - "Okay, but actually why should I. I'm not your wife who you get to boss around. Even when I become your wife, you know I will do the bossing and you the listening"
viren - "Okay you can boss me around, just make me something to eat please"
jeevika - "your so childish, but its okay"
Both of them smiled and Jeevika was making food for herself and Viren. Just as Jeevika was setting up the table, Viren's phone buzzed.
jeevika - "Who is it?"
viren - "My girlfriend"
Jeevika gave Viren a death glare and he stopped smiling.
viren - "Okay okay, calm down. It's my family in India. They're leaving from there day after tomorrow"
jeevika - "Awsome. Now what do we do about the whole living situation Viren. They're so many people now"
viren - "Yeah that's true"
jeevika - "Maybe, we can do this. Let all the adults stay there, and we all can stay here in my apartment. Anyways my roommates out for a year or so for her abroad program. So you me Virat and your cousin Shlok we can all stay here. Plus it will be easier for Veera also. And the hospital is nearby"
viren - "Yeah that seems to work. We'll go tell everyone once Veera's done with her class today. I hope she doesn't get drained out Jeevika. She always shows herself to be so strong and never tells me when she's not feeling well"
jeevika - "I think she'll be fine"
viren - "If you say so. By the way I have to take her to the hospital tonight for some blood tests"
jeevika - "Okay, that works out fine. We'll pack all of you guys's stuff and then go to the hospital and come here then. We can start cleaning out your place"
viren - "Sounds good"
jeevika - "Viren I'm craving something sweet to eat"
viren - "Why are you pregnant?"
Jeevika had her mouth open at Viren's statement. She couldn't believe how strange Viren was acting today, but she loved it. She loved how he made her feel. The past few months when they wee broken up made her realize that no one could fill in that missing gap in her life, but Viren. The two of them finished eating and left to go eat their favorite dessert. There was a small Ben and Jerry's cart they had on campus. It was right next to a beautiful garden, and Viren and Jeevika would often spend so much time there after their classes. Viren went to order an ice cream while Jeevika waited at a table.
viren - "Here you go, your favorite chocolate fudge brownie ice cream with a drizzle of caramel on top"
jeevika - "You still remember?"
viren - "Of course, how could I forget"
jeevika - "You know I haven't had this ice cream in months. The last time I had it was with you"
viren - "This ice cream just doesn't taste as good if you don't feed me. Now give me a bite"
Jeevika first gave Viren a bite, and then took a bite herself.
viren - "Veera should also be done huh?"
jeevika - "Yeah, she's in that building over there. We'll be able to see here"
viren - "Look, I think there she is. Let me call her"
Viren dialed Veera's number as he could see her from a distance. He noticed how Veera checked her phone, but didn't pick it up.
viren - "Jeevs she saw her phone, but I don't know why she's not picking it up"
jeevika - "Let's go over there"
Both of them started walking over to Veera and they noticed her loosing balance and she fell onto the bench. She sat there with her hands covering her face.
jeevika - "Veera you okay. What happened?"
veera - "Nothing, I'm just a little tired. Can you take me home, I want to sleep"
viren - "Yeah let's go. Why didn't you pick up your phone?"
veera - "I thought I'd just come meet you at the apartment"
jeevika - "Viren, lets take her to the apartment first, she must be hungry"
viren - "Okay"
The three of them walked back to the apartment and Jeevika warmed up food for Veera.
jeevika - "So how did you like your classes?"
veera - "They're good, I really liked the environmental studies class. Calculus I'm not too excited about"
viren - "No one's ever excited for calculus don't worry"
jeevika - "Especially Viren. Do you know Veera that your brother'"
viren - "Jeevika shhh" he said trying to get her not to say anything
veera - "What is it bhabhi. What about bhai?"
jeevika - "Your bhai used to ask me for help with calculus. The only reason he passed that class was because of me"
Veera and Jeevika couldn't stop laughing as Viren sat there looking at both of them.
veera - "Wow bhai, this is such a funny story"
viren - "if you both are done making fun of me, let's leave fast. We have to get home and we have to go to the hospital tonight"
veera - "Hospital? Why? Do I have another chemo session tonight?"
viren - "No just a few blood tests. Don't worry it'll be okay, i promise"
