update 12th october 2006

Shaina cries a lot.. Akshay signals mamta to go to her.. Mamta consoles her… shaina says that its her fault.. Mamta asks her not to feel bad, and as its karva chauth tomorrow, she should pray for her husband, and she is sure that he will return soon and will be glad to know that shaina has fasted for him… damyanti cries a lot.. Anand consoles her and say that he should have done it a long time ago… he couldn't take karan's bad qualities… damyanti says that she knows that karan was wrong but they shouldn't have done that.. Anand asks her to get ready for karva chauth as its mamta's first time.. Damyanti says that her daughter in laws are like her daughters but she cares of karan too, even though he doesn't.. she leaves.. Anand feels sad…

The next day, lots of women are at home.. Mamta puts mehndi on her hands.. Shaina is sad.. Damyanti assures that karan will be back soon… akshay looks at mamta, mamta looks at him cutely.. Anand tells akshay that the meaning of karva chauth is that the husband should always be with his wife, and protect her… (hehhe, its not akshay's first karva chauth..he was married before.. Remember? ) mamta goes to shaina and damyanti and shows her mehndi.. Mamta tells shiana not to worry as karan will be there for her today… akshay looks at mamta and makes cute faces at her.. Everyone looks at them and laugh… mamta shows him the mehndi and he smiles.. Mamta realizes that all of them are looking at her.. She smiles.. She asks shaina to put the mehndi.. Shaina says no, but mamta insists… shaina sits to put the mehndi.. She remembers karan one day coming and giving her a hug and teasing her… back to the present.. Some woman ask her about karan.. Everyone gets upset..

Karan goes to sid and asks him about his health.. Karan says that sid is lucky to have a roof over his head.. Sid asks about him.. Karan adds that he doesn't even have a roof over his head… sid inquires what happened, karan says that he got the prize of saying the truth.. He adds that mamta has kept a karva chauth vrat for akshay and not sid.. Even though he is her husband.. He adds that he went to the registrar's office and couldn't find any evidence of their divorce… he adds that mamta is really sick that she can do such a thing.. Sid gets upset…

Mamta and shaina are making food preparations… damyanti stops mamta from using the knife, as it is a bad omen to use any sorts of weapons like knives, as there can be a danger to the husband's life.. Mamta says that she wants to go to the hospital to see sid.. Damyanti agrees… mamta asks if karan called.. Shaina says no… mamta assures that he will be there..

Akshay and mamta reach the hospital… akshay stops to sign some papers.. Just then karan comes out of the hospital.. Karan gets scared and hides behind the pole.. Akshay and mamta are about to meet sid, but the doctor tells them that sid doesn't want to meet them… they feel bad and leave…

Mamta gets ready.. (looks stunning in a red saree and jewelry) mamta tells akshay that they should tell sid.. Akshay agrees… mamta is about to wear the bangles but akshay takes it from her hand and makes her wear it, and takes the sindoor and puts it on her… (oomg, that was soo cute)

Sid is in the hospital, he gets flashbacks about everything that mamta said, karan, akshay, etc and he wonders that if mamta is his wife then why is she doing the karva chauth for akshay?

Mamta is in front of the mirror… mamta tells akshay that she needs to talk.. She cutely says that she is hungr.. Akshay laughs and says that one minute.. He gets food and asks her to eat something as no one is here… damyanti gets there.. Mamta cutely tells akshay that she is hungry and he is making such stupid pranks, he would know what it feels to be hungry if he was fasting too… damyanti tells her that even akshay hasn't eaten all day… she takes the plate and goes… mamta smiles at akshay.. Akshay pulls her closer and says that cant he do the same for her? Jus then sid is in the hospital and he removes the chords on him… mamta and akshay go int eh garden where all the men and women are… mamta and aksay touch damyanti's and anand's feet… the moon finally arrives.. Everyone is happy.. Shaina is still sad.. The pooja starts.. Shaina is standing alone in a corner… mamta turns back and sees akshay thru the net and smiles… sid comes in front of akshay… mamta is shocked…
