Sony readies new Balaji Drama 'Kaajjal' for October

Sony Entertainment Television Asia has been on fire - unleashing new show after new show!
After the succesful launch of dance show 'Jhalak Dikhla Ja' and drama serials 'Kabhi To Nazar Milao' and 'Thodi Khushi Thode Gham', the channel will be launching 'Kaajjal - Sabbki Ankhon Mein Basi' in October produced by Ekta Kapoor. Described as a fairy tale love story, it is about Kaajjal, the girl-next-door. This daily will be the first show from Sandiip Sikcand, the newly appointed chief creative director, Sony Entertainment Television Asia. Sikcand says : " We're very excited about this new daily soap. It's really a great concept. Ekta Kapoor approached me and I had to accept the drama because I loved the concept. It has never been shown on TV before."
"The character of Kaajjal is a small town girl whom we have all interacted with. The first promo of the show will be aired before Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa's inaugural episode and Kaajjal's character will also be introduced in one of the Jhalak episodes," says Sikcand.
Produced by Balaji Telefims, it stars Apoorva Agnihotri (of Jassi Jaisi Ko Nahin fame) and Rati Agnihotri, among others.
Sony will be winding one of its shows in the 20:00 - 22:00 band to launch the new series. According to buzz, it could be 'Kaisa Yeh Pyar Hai' that could be facing the axe 'Kaajjal - Sabbki Ankhon Mein Basi' goes on air October-end.
