"Navya, I'm proud of you but I am worried, I mean I know you are going to learn a lot and it will benefit your career but being so far away from us in another country isn't it going to be too much?!" Deepak looked worried. Navya smiled and gripped hold of his hand. "Papa you know even I was a bit tense... but Papa becoming a doctor I need all of this training to help me to excel and Papa its only for a year... I promise I will talk to you every day through phone, webcam! Papa, I need to help you pay off this mortgage and do so much for you and mum!" Navya smiled and bought her mother and sat her down next to her dad. "Maa, Papa you have struggled a lot to get me, Di and Harsh so far in our education and have never deprived us of any luxury and now I want to pay back all of that and give you the best retirement and life ahead! I dont want you to have any more stress, tension!" Navya hugged her parents and kissed them. Dadi was crying with happiness. Navya turned around to see her Dadi crying away. "Arey mere Meena Kumari... why are you crying Dadi? You dont look nice when you cry... now pull a big smile for me otherwise I will cry everyday when I got the US!" Dadi shook her head. "No no... I won't cry look!" Dadi smiled and they shared a lovely hug.

"I won't cry ever! Haha, I will get your bedroom na so I definatly wont cry!" Harsh came in the room laughing. Navya pulled an angry look. "Idiot how will you sleep in my room, that is Renu Di's room not yours!" Navya hit him on the head and then he sulked like a baby. "Chal Bandariya... Renu Di will get married and then its your turn!" Renu blushed and Navya noticed she smiled at her. "Well she might get married but I am defiantly not! I am staying with Papa! Loser!" she stook her tongue out and they had a pillow fight. The family spent jovial moments together.

Navya went into her room and sat on her window and gazed at the stars. She sipped a cup of hot chocolate and smiled. "It's amazing, the feeling of love!" she said to herself. Her happiness was clearly shown in her eyes and there was nothing but joy. She closed her eyes in happiness. She then heard a knock on her door. Renu came in. "Di come in!" she got of the widow and sat on the bed with her. "What's up Di?!" Renu looked quite upset. She sat down on the bed and stared into space. Navya put her hand on hers and turned her so she could look at her. "Di what's wrong you look really upset?!" Renu burst into tears and she pulled Navya to hug her. "Navi... everything is finished now!" Renu couldn't stop crying and she became more tense. Navya was totally confused. "Di, tell me clearly what's finished?!" Navya was extremely worried for Renu. "Navi... me and Mohan... I mean you know our term finishes this month after exams... he spoke to his Dad and Granddad about our marriage together but they said no!" she broke down again and Navya was shocked. "Di, why are you worrying, you need to tell Papa if you love him... he will speak to his parents and family!" Renu shook her head in denial "I cant tell Papa... he will kill me and anyway his family are very conservative they hate love marriages... they will only do an arranged marriage!" Renu couldn't stop crying. Navya was worried and annoyed with their thinking. "But isn't a marriage between two people love?! How can they say that?! Let me talk to Papa!" Navya stood up to walk out of the room and talk to her Dad. "Navi no! Wait!" Renu pleaded. "Navi you know Papa doesn't like all of this... he will only approve of an arranged marriage for me! He is the same he will never agree to it!" Renu bought her back in. "Di but you love each other you have to get married, I won't let this happen to you Di!" while she was thinking her thoughts went straight to Anant. Her mind went into the future and imagined her like this. Tears dropped out of her eyes in fear. "No!" she shouted randomly. Renu looked confused at her. She came back to reality. "Di, look ask Mohan jiju to try again if they say yes then great but if they say no then we can get Papa involved... I have a plan. We can somehow get his biodata sent to our house as a marriage proposal and he will assume it is arranged marriage and not love! This way he will approach them and I will persuade him and then we can take it forward! Trust me Di you will marry Jiju at any cost, your love will win!" Renu cried in happiness and hugged Navya. "Navi... I will never be able to pay off your debt... whatever you are doing for me!" Renu cried her tears out. Navya hit her head. "Di this is not a debt... I am your sister I will do anything for you!" Navya kissed her cheek and hugged her again. "Come on now let's go to bed!" the sisters went to bed and Navya smiled thinking of Anant.

The next day Navya got a text from Anant saying "Good Morning Pagal Ladki!" she giggled reading it whilst she was eating her breakfast. "Who are you laughing at?!" Deepak asked. Navya looked up quickly. "No one Dad!" she continued eating her breakfast. Deepak read the front page of the newspaper. "Navya!" Deepak said again. Navya was scared. She looked at him lowering her eyes. "Yes Papa!" Navya said quietly. "Shabash! Maa hamare Navya ne 1st number le liye University me 96%!" the family were ecstatic and Meeta and Dadi were in tears. "Kya!"Meeta and Dadi kissed Navya and blessed her. Navya's photo was in the front page of the newspaper. "I am proud of you beta! Deepak Mishra's daughter is the star of Mumbai today! God Bless you!" Navya hugged her Dad and the rest of the family. She rushed to college.

*Bajpai House*

Om was reading the newspaper and he looked happy at Navya's photo. "Wow! Such a talented young girl! Let's hope she helps Mumbai's medical service!" Om smiled. Everyone looked at him "What is it Om?!" Baba said. He looked at him and showed him the picture of Navya. "This girl studies at the same university as Anant and look at her marks every year this girl is a topper and she is now getting a scholarship to go to the US to study and work! Her parents must be so proud!" Everyone nodded. "Om, it's a good thing but a woman is not only needed for work outside of the house but also inside... I can guarantee she is not mastered in the kitchen!" Baba smirked evily and Bua Dadi nodded. Anant wondered what they are discussing and stood near his dad. Om looked up at him disgusted. "Have you got your results for your exams or are you late as always?!" Om said sharply. "No Papa... I didn't know results were out today?!" Anant whispered. "Kya? See Bauji look at his attitude he dreams to be a doctor but he is not at all organised... how are you going to be a doctor? Go, Go and get your results?!" he shouted at Anant loudly. Anant shivered in fear and went towards the door. "Anant beta!" Sughanda ran up to him. "Beta, today is your results have so yoghurt curd and sugar!" she fed him with a teary smile. Anant touched her feet and she gave him blessings. "What was the need for all of that? You are the one ruining him every time!" Om shouted at Sughanda. Anant looked back at him mom and tears fell from his hazel eyes. He went to University with hope that he had done well.

*University*

Anant drove in to find all students are lining up for their results and he ran into the gates. There his gang were standing there and ready to open their envelopes waiting for Anant. "Anant hurry up we can't wait to see our scores!" Appy shouted. Anant ran to the queue and got his envelope. Navya was happy to see him and she smiled at Anant. Anant got the results from the professor. They all stood together in a group. "Right guys, all set! Good Luck!" they all said. Navya knew her results so she was not at all worried but she was here for her friends. They all opened their envelopes and looked at there marks. "Yes!" Shraddha jumped up in the air and Sameer watched her lovingly. "I got 77%!" She hugged Navya and Sameer smiled at her. Sameer looked at his sheet and saw 75%. He was happy and shared the news with Shraddha. He hugged her in excitment and they shared a lovely hug. Shraddha went shy and blushed. Navya noticed them. "Sorry... Congrats!" he apologised and wished her. Appy passed with 70%. She was happy with her results. Everyone was waiting for Anant. "Anant what did you get?!" Navya asked. He didn't say anything. He walked off and was very upset. "Anant!" she went after him. She took the sheet off him and looked at his marks. "Anant you got 60% you still passed!" Navya reassured him. Anant sat on a stone and kicked the stone next to him. He covered his face in his palms and got very upset. "Anant... dont worry we still have two semester's you can pull it back, I may not be here but Appy, Sameer, Shraddha they will all help you out!" Navya tried hard to make him feel better.

"Navya, it's no use... I'm stupid that's why I got these marks... my family are going to kill me! They were talking about some girl getting 96% in the morning and were so proud!" Navya looked down. "Anant that girl was me!" Anant looked up shocked. "Kya?!" Anant jumped up in happiness. He picked her up in his arms and swung her around. He forget his pain for her happiness. He hugged her. "Congrats.. in my sadness I totally forgot to ask you!" he hugged her again and tears of happiness fell from her eyes. She was waiting for his response. Anant's phone rang. It was his dad. He shivered in fear. He knew the response he would get. He didn't answer. "Navya... I've got to go home! I will talk you later!" he hugged her and kissed her forehead. "I love you!" Anant said. He went off and Navya held his finger. "Anant!" she pulled him back and looked at him. "Dont be worried, I know who rang you... I am here for you we will solve this together and I will help you! I promise! I love you!" the gang smiled at their love. Anant closed his eyes to assure her. He smiled and went back home.

*Bajpai House*

Om was circling the living area and his eyes were fixed on the door at every turn. He wanted to know Anant's result immediatly. Anant came in with the envelope in his hand and he looked on to see his father waiting their like a hungry predator. He closed his eyes and prayed for help. Baba also came which made the situation more tense. He came in and Om looked at him. "Have you got your results?!" Om said quite calmly. Anant nodded quietly. "What did you get then? Dont tell me you failed?!" Om sneered. Baba went up to Anant and held his shoulder. "Anant what happened tell us what you got?!" Baba smiled. "Woh Baba I got... 60%!" Anant looked down in shame. "BAS! Itna sa marks! Dekha Bauji you tumara Anant kya karenge yeh Doctor bankar!" Om shouted. This shook the whole house everyone came downstairs. "Om, shant hojao!" Baba tried to calm him down. "How can I be quiet... he is going to ruin the family name for sure! What do you do all day? Sit there and chat with your idiot friends! What are you trying to prove?!" Om continued his rampage. Anant was hurt and everyone sympathised with him but no one had the guts to answer back. "Papa...!" he uttered silently. "What Papa? What are we going to do now? Is anything going to change no?! Look at that girl in the newspaper, her parents must be so proud and me what am I going to show to the world! My son is a FAILURE!" he shouted. Anant's ears ringed with the word failure ringing in his ears. He closed his eyes and trailed to his room. "What are you going to do now? Go and cry and your mother will comfort you? Anant, get this straight you cant be a doctor with just a pass! You need to pass with flying colours! You didnt listen to me when I told you to go for commerce, business that would have been better for you!" Om walked into his room. Baba looked at Anant go up the stairs and followed him.

Anant was in his room when Baba was at the door. "Anant beta!" Baba called. Anant stood up to bring Baba into the room. He wiped his final tears and smiled at him. "Anant beta... dont take Om's words to heart he was telling you because he cares for you... he just has a very abnormal way of expressing his caring nature! Anant you are not a failure but you are the pride of this house! I have full faith that you will become a very succesful doctor you just need to concentrate... dont worry about anything at home just put your mind to studies! Here have this mala it will help you to concentrate chant "Om Namah Shivay" Shiv ji will give you strength and wisdom!" he blessed Anant and walked out of the room. He tocuhed the mala with his eyes and put it to the side for use later. He decided to rest for a few hours.

*Mishra House*

Navya was packing her bags for her flight tommorow and she was very excited. Everyone was helping her pack warm clothes, food and all her belongings. Deepak was ordering a bigger car to take her to the airport and Dadi was praying for Navya's success and happiness.
