CHAPTER 2
manvi entered her room with tears in her eyes and she stood near the window.
on the other hand, virat was getting restless... he wondered what took manvi that much time that she hadnt returned yet. he went to his bhabhi's room and saw jeevika sitting lonely in the room and then he went to manvi's room... he was relieved to see her there and felt like he has found his everything back. he entered the room and stood beside manvi... he followed manvi's gaze and tried to figure out what held her attention that she didnt even realise his presence. virat tried but of no use... he couldnt find anything that fasinating or attractive outside the window, rather his all attention was on the beautiful angel standing with him... yes he was enjoying that peaceful moment with manvi but there was something that was bothering him and it was the quiet avatar of the sherni... he always loved manvi in all her avatars whether it be her sherni avatar, jungli billi avatar, or pagal sirphiri avatar... but today a different manvi was standing beside him who was quiet, mature and more sensible than ever... he just couldnt stand this transformation of his ded futiya into a protagonist of a 60s hindi movie...
he kept his hand on her shoulder and said " partner... "
manvi came out of her thoughts and replied " partner... sharam nai aati kya...?? jab dekho mere room mein mu uthakar chale aate ho... " (partner dont you have any shame...?? whenever u wish u come into my room without even asking for permission...)
virat was now relieved bcos his manvi was back and said " kya hua hai...???" (what happened...??)
manvi : mujhe kya hoga...??? i am fit n fine hoon... (what would happen to me...??)
virat : ab sach btao ded futiya... (now speak up the truth ded futiya..)
manvi : virat... ek baat puchun...??? (virat... can i ask u something...??)
virat : mna karne se maan jaogi toh mat puchu... (if i refuse then will u agree, then dont ask me...)
manvi : virat yeh pyar mein itna dard kyun hota hai...?? (virat why is there so much of pain in love...??? )
virat : kya...??? (what...???)
manvi : pyar toh bahut khoobsurat hota hai na... par iske saath dard aur gham kyun milte hain...??? (love is a very beautiful isnt it... but why is it always accompanied with pain and sadness...???)
virat : tum theek to hona...??? kaisi baat kar rahi ho yaar... (are you alright...??? what are you talking...??)
manvi : batao na partner... plss saying this she threw herself in his arms... (tell me na partner...)
virat was speechless thinking of his painful past with maya but the moment he found manvi hugging him, he immediately wrapped his arms around her and comforted her... and the feeling of having manvi that close to him made him forget all the pain he had ever felt after maya left him...
he suddenly felt that he was still alive and had someone in his life... he wanted to be with that someone forever... he somehow wished to forever possess and hold that someone... but he couldnt ignore the fact that he was only a friend for manvi, her partner and her jeevika di's devar... he didnt know why he wasnt able to look at her only like his bhabhi ki behna... he was wondering how his heart skips a beat nowadays whenever manvi is close to him...
he brushed all his thoughts away the moment he heard manvi sobbing... he pulled manvi away and looked into her eyes. he was always able to read her eyes even though whenever she refused to tell him anything, her eyes would always tell virat everything.. but today virat wasnt able to read her eyes or we can say he didnt want to read whatever was written there. he saw a similar pain in her eyes that he always saw in his own eyes... but his heart refused to accept it.. he wasnt ready to face the fact that her eyes were showing the pain one feels in love let it be the pain of separation or be the pain of betrayal... he wiped her tears and quietly went out of her room without saying even a word...
manvi was now feeling relieved after the comforting hug virat gave her... she just prayed to god for giving her a friend like virat, who gave her comfort and didnt hurt her by asking the reason of her discomfort... if in case he asked her, she wouldnt be able to control her emotions and tell him whatever she was feeling right now... she would have told him that she had been in love once... infact she was still in love and she was waiting for her love to come back to her... she was waiting for her kabir to return and take her away with him for ever and ever...
manvi (to herself) : thank u virat... i know you are always there for me... you are the best partner one can have. par bhagwan ji ab bahut ho gya hai na.. pls mere kabir ko bhej do na... pta nahi woh kahan hoga, kaisa hoga, kya kar raha hoga... par koi baat nahi mujhe pta hai aap uska khayaal rakh rahe hoge... kabir come back... pls come back soon... your manvi is waiting for you... (god please this is enough now... lease send my kabir na... i dont know where he is, what is he doing, how is he... but i know you must be taking care of him... )
