here are my highlights...
1) kudos to manav and shweta ...they really made saroj eat her words...the makeup, the concept everything was unusual and excellent.
2) shweta raja performance was average...the credit to pull it off goes to raja.the cry-baby award goes to shweta. i fail to understand how she handles the stresses of daily life when she seems ready to wail at everything here. in short sthis jodi is fast becoming my most disliked couple.everytime they come on stage...you can expect theatrics.
3) while thier performance was average but i still feel narayani-gaurav got less marks. maybe they set the bar too high by excellent performances in last two episodes. while i am sad at thier departure, i wll always remember them as excellent dancers with much relish not unlike what i feel for varun-rajeshwari in nb-1. on positive side if they do come back in round 6, they have managed to bypass two ousters to thier advantage.
4)tanaaz-bakhtiyaar were good expecially bakhtiyaar's attitude , however i felt a little disappointed becoz they have been using same steps again and again inlast three rounds. i expect something new from them everytime given thier potential.
5)if the judges are biased towards shweta , for some reason they are biased against hiten and gauri. hiten was good while gauri is getting more comfortable dancing. i agree that there was very little comedy in thier dance but they were syncronised and you could see the effort. i think judges should have shown some appreciation , if not in marks then in words. also the way saroj snapped at gauri ("don't say , show me") was very rude. i have to admire this couple for thier sportmanship and dignity on stage.though hiten did look disppointed and not without reason.
6)i still did not understand what was so hilarious about yash-gauri dance , they did well but i think they lacked the comedy factor much like a few other couples.few of yash's steps were unlike AB while it was same with gauri at points. also they were left scrambling for explainations after a dreadful slip of words. i do not know how to view that....if the friend was choreographer, there was a problem if not there was not much of an issue. saroj took them to task for it but to no result.
7)tina-hussein did very very well....i have begin to admire hussain for his sense of humour ,timing and love for his spouse. he is a complete package.
8)as for sharad-keerti , the less said the better. arjun-gurdip are consistent performers and very natural at dancing.
9) i think saroj shot down her credibility in this show for whatever reason . the damage is going to be very hard to repair. her joke idea ,shweta's coming clean , everything seemed staged and an attempt to justify the nautanki that preceeded it. well...it failed desperately.it ended up showing saroj biased and shweta's as a manipulative person.
10) kudos to kunal for showing his sorrow and discontent openly at the ouster of narayani and gaurav. mallaika seemed uncomfortable but managed to keep dignified stance with wait and watch attitude. the surprise was saroj...i expected her to say something elequoent and comforting, but her silence made her seem even more biased and supportive of this ouster.
11)finally....gaurav looked sad and narayani looked mad but they managed to exit with dignity. kudos to the rest of the couples...especially those who voted against this couple...you guys are really great actors . hiten/gauri seemed distant in wake of the drama unfolding on the stage. while tina wept.
in retrospective this is one dance show more talked about everything else than dance. also the new format is a death knell to good performers so some couples might need to tone down thier performance from exceptional to average just to stay on the show.
