Part-16:
Morning before sunrise
At Palampur
A hard knock on the wooden door...Arnav flipped on his bed...then again another hard knock on the door...as if someone would break the door...Arnav was trying to get some sleep as he slept very late at night...thinking of his past..present... and future...it was really hard for him to get some sleep...and then when he actually dozed off...someone was hell bent to ruin his sleep...he muttered..."what the!!" he flipped to other side...covering his head with one of the pillows on the bed...so that the sound can't reach his head...
Suddenly the door knock stopped...and Khushi stormed in the room...pulling his duvet and throwing it one the floor...and pillow...pulled it from his hand...then started beating him with the pillow...
Khushi: Arnie...Arnie...Arnieee...
Arnav: Damn you Khush...what the..!!(closing his eyes flipping on the other side)
Khushi: shut up..!! wake up you lazy bump...we are getting late...(still beating him)
Arnav: its not even morning Khush...
Khushi: yes its morning...come on...
Arnav: Khush plz...let me sleep...i really couldn't sleep because of you last night...and now you are here...
Khushi: what?? you couldn't sleep because of me?? what did i do??
Arnav just shot up...he looked around him...and he realized he was not in his room...he was in palampur...last night he dozed off thinking of Khushi...her surprise...her answer...and his past...and he said something which he didn't even know why he said...he looked at her with his sleepy but shocked eyes to see a confused Khushi...
Khushi was looking at him with so much confusion...why did he say that he couldn't sleep because of me...was he waiting for the surprise?? or was he thinking of me?? well if he was thinking of the surprise then off course he was thinking of me...but...Arnie is not a person who will die for a surprise...NO..!! he was waiting for my reply..!! but why would he?? does it really mean something for him?? She patted her thought in her mind...Khushi Kumari Gupta...how will you know anything when you won't try to find it out...but how can i find it out?? by surprise?? will I get to know whats in his mind?? but I know what in his mind...then what do I want to know more?? oh yeah...i want to know that why he said he couldn't sleep because...damn...i am repeating the same thing in my mind again and again..!! Khushi flinched a little...
Arnav was staring at her with a blank face...did i get caught?? did she find out that i was thinking about her?? but why i was thinking about her?? and why does it matter if she gets to know about it?? but what am i thinking right now?? I myself said her that i want her in my life...but how?? yeah Akash also asked me...but why don't I know it?? what the hell is this?? i was confused last night...now again i am confused...how long this confusion is gonna stay??
Khushi was looking at Arnav...he is looking like a kid after sleeping...aww...so adorable...who will say he is The ASR!!.wait...again i am...god this confusion..!! i need to tell him everything...may be that'll help...
Khushi: Arnie..
Arnav: Khush...(looked at her...without any expression)
Khushi: we are getting late...(not looking at him)
Arnie: for..(he was expecting her to understand him)
Khushi: don't you want to see the last surprise?? we have about 40 mins left..(looking at everything but him)
Arnav: and the answer??(smirking at her condition)
Khushi: what??
Arnav: i am waiting...
Khushi: lets go...
Khushi was about to leave...standing at door...turned to see Arnav...
Khushi: wear your track suits...
Arnav just smiled and nodded...
At GH
Shashi got up from his bed...coughing...and having hard to breathe...Garima was trying to calm him down...Shashi was holding his right hand on his chest...and trying to breathe normal...as much as he can...but nothing is in his control...
Garima dialed a number...talked to someone...and helped to Shashi to get up from the bed...his breathing was getting abnormal by every second...he just tried to catch his breathe and hold his coughing...so that no one can heard him...Garima helped Shashi to get in the car...and they left...it was still time to sunrise...
At Palampur
Arnav and Khushi reached the top of the hill...wearing their tracks suits...in the most comfortable manner...it was still dark...as the sun was out of sight...Jess was already there to welcome them...
Arnav was looking around all lost...he was trying to figure out what Khushi has stored fom him...but more than that he was curious to know her answer...So he stopped...he was thinking something...when Khushi came...holding his arm...trying to pull him...He asked...
Arnav: Khush...(looked at her with confusion)
Khushi: your wait is over...(just gave a sweet smile to him)
Arnav and Khushi got ready...they wore their helmets, gloves, pads, life suite...every necessary thing for security...then Jess helped them to start...
Arnav was standing behind to Khushi...standing on the cliff of the hill...to start their ride...towards sky...towards infinity...the wind pulled their wing away from the cliff...towards the sky...breathtaking sceneries... and drifting along clouds...
Khushi hold Arnav's hand from behind...they were looking at the horizon...the sun was about to rise...Khushi asked Arnav to close his eyes...Arnav closed his eyes...but his senses were active...he could understand the increasing light through his closed eyelids...then suddenly Khushi asked him to open his eyes...Arnav opened his eyes...he saw the dawn...the sunrise...the light of life...morning was never so beautiful for him...
Soaring above trees...paddy fields...rivers and planes...he was hugging the morning...the ray of sun was enlightening his heart...the light of sun was brightening his dead mind...he was feeling like he was breathing again...his mind was exploring himself...he was free...his all pain...agony..tension...were melted away...he was flying...he was at height of the world...he was flying...but...with his only friend...holding her hand...his only trusted companion...Khushi...his Khush...
Khushi was relieved...her all confusion drained away...she could never feel this light ever in her life...she was watching the world...from the sky...she was feeling like a bird...she saw the dawn...saw the horizon...changing its color from blue to fire...the red of fire was removing her all impurity...it was giving her a new height of sanity...the yellow of fire was brightening her thought...as if she could see her own life in her mind...the orange of fire was giving back her youth...she was feeling like energetic again...holding Arnav's hand was assuring her every move for future...and her insecurity...confusion...for her life...
Arnav and Khushi were consuming these moments...then there time came up to come to reality...they landed...very swiftly...they removed all the equipment they were wearing...they didn't speak a word...after removing helmets and jackets...Khushi hold Arnav's wrist...and gestured him to walk with her...Khushi took him to the cliff...a silent and calm side of the hill...there was not that much people...as it was very early morning...
Arnav and Khushi...were standing there...holding their hands...looking at horizon...the wind was never so peaceful...
Arnav: thanx Khush...
Khushi was closing her eyes...still holding his hands...
Arnav: I never felt so relieved...i was free...i am free...
Khushi: I want to be with you Arnie...(still closing her eyes...)
Arnav stopped talking...he didn't look at her...he was looking at horizon...he was consuming the light of sun...brightness of the sun...and also her voice...her talks...
Khushi: I wanted to see the dawn with you...i never thought it would feel so divine with you...holding your hands...you know why i didn't answer your questions last night...(opened her eyes)..i wanted my mind to feel free...when i say you this...I have no boundaries...no burden in my mind...i counted stars with you...witnessed the most beautiful morning with you...flied with you to infinity...
Arnav tightened his grip on her palm...
Khushi: Arnav...promise me...
Arnav looked at her...
Khushi: you'll be there...with me...you won't leave me...you are my...(cut by Arnav)
Arnav: don't...i don't want to define our relation...but i promise you...I'll be you shadow...not only in the light...but also in the darkness...
Khushi just smiled at him...
Khushi: lets go home...
