"Why don't you turn the darned thing off?" Gauri commented as Sasha's phone beeped with missed calls and text messages endlessly.

Sasha didn't reply as she placed her phone face down and tried to focus her eyes on the mindless television programme. But as the phone buzzed once more, she couldn't help but give in as she pressed the accept button, walking out of the room to give her some privacy.

"I swear to God Dev, you call me one more time and I'll burn my phone."

"Are you not going to give us a chance to talk?"

She scoffed. "Us? There is no us. I've said what I needed to say."

"But I haven't."

"Oh well, that's just life for you. If you'll excuse me, I have things to tend to."

"You know as well as I do that you won't get rid of your phone. And I know as well as you do that I won't stop contacting you until you give me a chance to set things right."

There was a palpable silence as Sasha weighed his words.

"So, where shall we meet up tomorrow then?" Dev spoke.

If Pammi thought she was one step ahead, Manish increased that by tenfold.

No one else apart from himself was aware of the CCTV he had installed in his study back at the mansion. He trawled through the footage to see Pammi instigating Maan earlier on, hence his disappearance from the office.

And he was watching the footage now as he saw one of Pammi's pre paid clonies do as they were ordered to by the madam herself.

Manish had a faint smirk on his face as he let the events unfold in front of his eyes, the evidence sifting itself into his mind.

Evidence which would get rid of Pammi Khurana once & for all.

Geet blew out an exasperated sigh as she trawled the vacant streets of Delhi at night.

She had considered a taxi, but realised she was penniless, no thanks to Maan 'I- know-what's-right-for-the-world-and-everyone-in-the-world-and-I-will-bring-about-happiness-for-everyone-by-running-away-from-happiness- myself' Singh Khurana.

"I wonder why the United Nations haven't recruited him yet," she muttered sarcastically as she took the road which was well lit, to make her feel a little safer. "The guy would take no haste in resigning himself to solitary confinement if it meant peace between Israel-Palestine or if the Taliban regime was destroyed."

So lost she was in her thoughts, that she didn't realise she was in the business district of Delhi ' right outside her workplace, Khurana Constructions.

The glimmer of a light from the corner of her eye distracted her, and it was only when she turned to her left that she realised she was right outside KC.

"Who's inside the building at this time?" she wondered. "I thought the cleaners worked early mornings'"

So it was no surprise to Yash Singhania when eureka struck him as he shampooed his hair in the shower.

Once he'd finished with his daily cleaning schedule, he called his fiancee and waited impatiently until she picked up, then began rattling on about his new found plan without giving her a chance to speak. When he finally took a break in between his talking, Pinky got the chance to confirm what she had just heard.

"You're saying' you want us to elope and get married?"

"That's precisely what I'm saying, darling."

"'Excuse me whilst I faint."

Geet had an uneasy feeling swirling in the pit of her stomach.

An inane feeling was telling her to investigate the mysterious light.

She took of her heels, ready to strike the potential intruder with the lethal weapon if need be, and began walking up the path to the building.

When she got to the main entrance door, and found it to be unlocked, that's when she acknowledged her worst fear coming true.

Manish watched with perplexity as a female figure approached the building. It was unlike Pammi to employ a female to carry out a task, unless she was a bait.

Curiosity took over him as he zoomed in on the footage, then felt like smacking his head as he recognised Maan's secretary with a shoe in her hand as she opened the main door and crept into the building.

Throwing his head back against the chair, he hit the call button on Maan's number.
