PART 9 (last part) HAPPY NEW YEAR 2013 with MAANEET

my longest ever update 2039 words 7 pages, so please long comments

But after 3 months of her job, came the day when I shouted on her for the last time.

On that day, I had 2 meetings and 2 more had to be rescheduled for same day due to clients need.

Though I am a hard worker still I have many constraints; the 3^rd meeting extended to 2 hrs due to some discussions, the 4^th one that was originally after 2 hrs 30 mins now will start in just half an hour.

I were exhausted, my knee was paining, as I settled down in my cabin I felt like chopping off the knee, I was in no condition to move, I took out my tablet and was about to have it, there was a knock at the door, I sighed and swallowed the tablet with water, and said, "come in"

The intruder was Geet, she told me that clients have arrived and they are been shown to the conference room on the floor above.

I felt like strangling that client, instead I shouted at her, she listened silently as usual, I finally said, "Ms. Handa you may please leave, I know what I have to do, I am the boss here not you" she said, "sorry sir" and left.

I don't know what she was thinking, I was in too much pain to understand, and I rested my head on the table and closed my eyes telling myself that I need few minutes rest before the meeting.

She woke me up and gave me a cup of coffee, I was feeling much better and due to the pain killer my knee felt good; I took the coffee and sipped it, she sat down on the sofa and arranged some plates, and then opened the Tiffin carrier.

I looked at her, what was she doing? There is a meeting in few minutes and here she is serving food.

I looked at her again and then at the time piece, I almost spitted my coffee on seeing that it was 7:30 pm, I have slept for 3 hrs.

I was annoyed and yelled, "Geet why did you not wake me? What did you tell the client? Did you tell them that your bloody cripple boss has slept because his legs gave up" I was very angry with my handicapped abilities.

She came near me and held my arm, "first eat something, you have not eaten anything since breakfast"

I pulled my arm from her grip, "I can walk without help" and stood up immediately; as the action was sudden, a wave of pain passed through my knee, I stumbled but balanced myself.

She silently looked at me and stepped back.

I slowly went and sat on the sofa, she sat beside me and took my hand in hers, I pulled back my hand but she tightened her grip; I frowned and shouted, "what is this Geet? Leave my hand you are crossing your limits"

She did not let it go, and pointed at the time piece, "office hours are over, and here I am not as your secretary but your fiance"

I looked at her and was about to shout when she covered my mouth with her palm, I froze, she also became conscious;

She then slowly said, "don't shout on your poor secretary, she did not insult you, all she did was, that she called your father to proceed with the meeting; and as your preparations were immaculate, the client was very happy with the presentations, he will talk to his investors and finalize the deal in this week at your terms and conditions"

I did not know what to say, I just took her other hand also and leaned down resting my head on her palms, I felt defeated, worthless, I said, "I am not needed Geet, you are ruining your future by associating with me; I could not even handle 4 meetings in a row, without your help. I am useless"

I felt like sky should swallow me now. I added, "You too came in my life on pretext of feeling bad about your friend's bro, feeling bad about a boy who is a prey of ragging" I did not know that tears were flowing from my eyes.

She cupped my face and rubbed my tears with her thumbs, it was then that I realized that I were crying,

"I am even crying like a small boy, Geet leave me, go away before my dark shadow eclipses your bright future" I yelled, "go away, it's better to leave now then to regret later"

"We will talk about his later, first eat something" she said.

I helplessly looked at her as she forced a bite in my mouth, she fed me, after few bites I asked her, "have you eaten anything" she remained quiet, I took one bite in my hand and fed her, and she chewed smiling at me and blushing.

As we were eating a grain stuck on her lower lip, it was tantalizing me, I felt like licking it, but I checked myself and pointed it to her, she tried to remove it but it slid to the corner of her mouth, after much try, I gave up and traced my thumb to remove it, she froze.

I did not feel like removing my thumb, so I gently stroked her cheek with it, she held my other hand and her thumb made similar pattern on the back of my palm. Her pupils gradually diluted and she slowly closed her eyes as if hypnotized. I am sure my eyes should also be dark with desire.

She moaned and whispered my name "Maan" this broke my trance and I tried to back off, but she did not let me go. She leaned forward and cupped my face and closed the distance between us sealing my lips with hers.

Her cell buzzed, my instinct was to move back but she deepened the kiss and left when we both were breathless;

She then picked her cell and viewed the missed call and smiled; I wondered who had been calling, she dialed the number and put the mobile on speaker.

It was Maa, "hello, Geet", she replied, "ji Maa" she calls my mother Maa I did not know.

"Has Maan eaten anything" Maa asked.

"Yes, and at present he is having his dessert" she replied, her eyes shining with a naughty smile.

"Thank you Geet, how soon you will be back"

"Let's say as soon as I am able to brief him about the meeting"

"OK take care"

"Bye Maa"

She completed the call and looked at me, I wondered this is her yet another avatar, she came close to me and said, "Do you want Dessert?"

I immediately replied "no, I had enough"

She looked innocently and said, "But when did I serve you this pudding?"

I wacked myself mentally, "OK, I will have it"

She gave me a naughty look, "which one? The one you were enjoying few minute ago or the one that is with the meal"

I was speechless, but still I said, "Are you not too bold?"

She replied, "No I am not too bold, I am just too shameless"

I was shocked by her admission, she continued, "but this is all your mistake, we have been engaged for more than 3 months, and not once you behaved like the smitten man you admitted to be, so what should have I done, waited for you to make a move while I die dreaming about you touching me at forbidden places"

I was not able to say anything. Do girls also dream about things boys do?

She continued, "It took me 2 years to convince Annie that I am good for her bro, I worked so hard to portray an ideal image in front of your parents, but you were so engrossed in your own self pity that you did not notice what I wanted"

I was like what is all this, "but", I tried to say

She frowned, "when you said you were smitten by me, I thought it is easy that without admitting anything you will be mine; but, you are a fool, what you think I am, not every day I find a boy drooling so openly; not every day I feel a strong pull towards him. What did you think it was just co-incidence that Annie chooses the same girl for you? No, Mr. Khurana, no."

I did not know what all this was, was it that Geet too fell for me that day. I tried to remember that day, but all I could remember was what I was feeling. But if she was attracted to me then why did she disappear next semester. I had too many questions in my mind, I wanted to ask her many things but she was nowhere close to listening to me.

She continued, "The other day when you missed your admit card and filled the form, I noticed your address and knew that you are her bro. At the same time, that jerk proposed me, so I left the job and joined Annie, I told her how I was attracted to you, she told me everything about you and also said that I should think before taking any decision, she also told me that there is every chance that you may never be able to run or may always have to limp. I begged her to tell me more about you, she did and every time she told me something about you I was more deeply attracted to you. So finally she said that I should try to impress your mother. And slowly she instilled this idea of our marriage in your parents mind. She also convinced my parents."

My head was spinning, here I was in my own dream land and there my dream girl was working on fulfilling her dream.

She paused, but before I could say anything continued, "later when I got your letter my attraction increased, and I started respecting you, I was too happy when you admitted everything about your attraction towards me, but on the engagement day all went to drain. And then Annie had to convince your parents for this job, so that I could be with you, but now I am tired of trying, now tell me do you want to marry me or not, because I cannot live like this"

I was confused, there was so much to digest, I looked at her unable to understand how to react, she looked exhausted, she looked at me wishfully but as I did not say anything for several minutes, she sighed and rose and gathered the plates etc.

And said, "It's getting late, we should leave now"

She went to switch off the lights, as she came to switch the last light off I grabbed her hand, "Geet why did you not tell me all this" I demanded

She did not answer me but looked at me thoughtfully, I was still unsure because she has mentioned attraction and respect but love was not there in her vocabulary.

So I asked her, "Will you ever regret what you just said. I will not be able to survive without you once we get married, so decide with cool mind there is no hurry. I am all yours; I love you too much to chain you with me, and if you cannot" before I could complete my sentence she hugged me making me fall on the sofa behind.

She cupped my face and said, "Say again that you love me"

I sighed and said, "Yes that's true I love you, but you are not obliged to return this feeling"

She gave me a brilliant smile, "I told you that you are a fool, a lovable fool, stupid Maan, my man of course I am not obliged but what to do I love you"

I did not know what to say and before I could, She was all over me and I did not know what to understand and there was no need to say anything as I was drowned in the ocean of her kisses.
