It is criminal to compare David Dhawan with Sajid Khan! Sajid makes shit! David Dhawan was no auteur but he was much better than Sajid can hope to. His films had a story. They were never just a series of gags!

His brand of comedy was never as mindless and vulgar as Sajid's.

DD is leagues ahead, especially with his films with Govinda!

Well, also I wasn't a huge fan of Yash Chopra. They were well presented but totally never got me hooked. His son was bit better. Only YC films I liked were Dhool Ka Phool, Waqt, Deewar, Chandni, Silsila, Darr & DTPH. Rest were average or crap for me.

Same with Subash Ghai. I loved his stuff till Yaadein. I mean I could watch Karz, Khalnayak, Ram Lakhan, Pardes and Vidhata any time
