Part Two - Surprise!

They came to a stop.

RK: Open your eyes

Madhu opened her eyes and found herself standing in their room. It was different though. A smile burst onto her face as she noticed a separate area in their room made especially for Maya. A room within a room.

Madhu: RK! It's beautiful...

She began to tear up and she turned to give RK a hug. RK laughed slightly as he wrapped his arm tightly around her and kept a tight hold on Maya in his other arm.

RK: Don't cry Madhu, I don't want Maya to learn that from you. I want her to learn your smile. Now smile!

RK heard Madhu giggle into his chest and then she looked up at him with a smile. He smiled back at her.

RK handed Maya to Madhu. Madhu walked towards Maya's area within their room and then placed her in her crib. She kissed Maya's forehead and then felt RK's hands around her waist. She placed her hands on his hands and felt his head come to rest on her shoulder.

Madhu: She's beautiful...

RK: Arey! Don't put a nazar on our beti!

RK laughed as Madhu laughed and lightly slapped the hands that rested on her waist.

Madhu: No mother can put a nazar on her own child, but here, just for you...

Madhu put her finger to her eye and then put the black mark from her makeup onto her daughter, behind her ear.

Madhu: Happy patidev?

RK: Hmm...nope!

Madhu: What?

Madhu turned around and put her arms around his neck as he kept his arms around her waist.

Madhu: What else do you need?

RK began to close in on his wife when suddenly his phone rang.

RK: Ugh...what timing...I'll be back biwi!

Madhu laughed as she watched RK turn and walk away with his phone.

RK: Hello?

Caller: Congratulations my friend. The cheater's daughter has been brought home I see...

RK: Who is this? Why do you keep calling? What do you want?

Caller: Oh, nothing yet. You'll see soon enough...

RK: But...

RK was cut off by the beeping of the phone. The caller had hung up.

RK stared at the phone and was angered by the "Private Name Private Caller" that showed up. He needed to find out who it was and what he meant by You'll see soon enough.

RK decided to put those thoughts away. He wanted to be happy the day Maya was brought home.

He ran back into his room and closed the door behind him. He walked towards Madhu who was busy admiring their daughter.

She felt his arms around her again.

Madhu: That was fast.

RK: I've been having trouble staying away from you for long. I decided I'm not picking up any more phone calls for the rest of today.

Madhu: Oh really?

Madhu giggled and turned around to face RK again. He began to close in on her again.

Just as their lips touched, they heard the loud crying of a child. They pulled away from each other and looked at each other confused.

Then Madhu's eyes widened as she realized it was Maya. She turned around and saw Maya crying in the crib.

She quickly picked her up and tried to calm her as RK closed his eyes and put his hands to his ears.

RK: I forgot about the side effects to having babies...

Madhu: RK!

RK opened his eyes as Madhu gave him her usual cute angry look. Maya continued to cry.

Madhu: Help! I don't know what she wants. Maybe you?

Madhu handed Maya to RK who tried to calm her with cooing. It didn't work.

RK: Biwi...If Maya doesn't stop crying...I'm going to have to make her room sound proof.

Madhu slapped his arm as he laughed and then grabbed Maya from his arms.

Madhu: I think she's hungry.

RK: Oh, should I order food for her?

RK looked at Madhu with a confused look as she looked at him with her "Really?" look.

RK: What?

Madhu: Ever heard of breastfeeding?

RK's eyes widened with realization. Then he squinted his eyes.

RK: Lucky child...

Madhu laughed as she walked towards their bed with Maya's baby blanket. She sat down and got comfortable.

She put the blanket over Maya's head and her chest.

RK: What are you hiding? Nothing I haven't seen before...

Madhu smiled at RK as she watched his jealous side come out.

Madhu: Patidev, there's no need to be jealous of your own baby girl.

RK: I'm not jealous!

Madhu: Yup, sure.

RK: Biwi...

Madhu: Sorry jealous superstar!

RK: You!

Madhu: M...Oh, this feels weird.

RK laughed as Madhu made a funny face.

He smiled as he looked at the loves of his life. He still couldn't believe they were his. All his.
