Hello Ariyans, back with a new part...have tried to put some light into Riya's marriage...but the real reasons will come up in subsequent episodes...hope u like it...pls read and comment!

Chapter 3A : Tumse doori ka ehsaas sataane lagaa...

He switched off his cabin's lights and came out'..and that's when he saw her still there at her desk'.She seemed exhausted and her head rested on the chair and her eyes were closed as if in a power nap! He walked towards her desk...

Kaise bataayein, kyun tujhko chahe, yaara bataa na paaye.
Baatein dilo ki, dekho jo baaki, aankhein tujhe samjhaye.

"Coffee logi?"

The husky familiar voice brought her out of her trance'..She could recognize his voice however deep her sleep was and this was just a trance'.a quick trip into her messed up life'..with Suraj'even his name gave her a feeling of having bitten a distasteful fruit! His promises, his confessions, and his pretence of true and undying love'everything seemed like a perfectly enacted play to her just to lure her'..

A few moments before, as she immersed herself in the report that she was preparing for the case'..a mail from her lawyer informing about the proceedings of her divorce case popped up in her personal mail box'..In a month or two, everything would be over'

Her marriage to Suraj had been on the rocks from the very first day'..her wedding night to be precise'..'but she pulled it along and tried her best to save it for over a year'.she tried to think positively and waited for him to change his ways but it never happened'..and eventually everything had to come crashing down sooner or later'

She felt dumb not to have seen his true colors before getting married'..Meeting Suraj during that fateful case at Jaipur was the turning point of her life'..it had turned her life into a horrible nightmare''Now getting out of that seemed like coming out from hell! She was disturbed by all that was happening in her life but yet there was an unexplainable peace within her!

She was lost again when he repeated again "Riya'kahaan koyi hui ho?..maine kuch poocha tumse???? kya tum coffee logi?? [He held forward the cup to her direction as he said that]

She brushed aside her past and replied "nahi'.maine coffee peena chod diya hai, Sir!"

He was stunned by her reply'.she used to love coffee''making coffee for all others and ordering a cutting chai for him was like an unsaid duty for her'..she diligently did that every morning'.

No one in the team cared to neither thank her nor acknowledge it openly when she did that but the day after she left ETF, her absence was felt obviously but her coffees and tea went missing too'.

He took back the cup and remarked with slight sarcasm "shaayad usse bhi waqt aur haalaat ke wajeh se choda hoga, right?" his subtle poke at her own words were sharply understood by her but she didn't bother to reply back'.

But when he took a sip from the cup'she was shocked and she couldn't help but ask him about it "Sir, aap kabse coffee peena shuru kiya? Aap toh sirf chaai peethe'"

He didn't let her complete and responded quickly "jab se tum gayi ho'.tab se Riya!"

She was taken aback by his words''but she was in no mood of giving up'."shaayad chaai order karne waali koyi mili nahi hogi, right Sir?"

Arjun smiled and replied in the spur of the moment in a sober voice "tum nahi mili Riya!"

What was he upto? Ab yeh sab keh kar kya jathaana chahthe teh? Where was he when he really had an option to say such things? Now what meaning did all this have?

She thought to herself with a smirk on her face and looked away as if she wasn't interested in talking to him'.

Arjun: [concerned for her] Riya''tum teek toh ho na???

Riya: kya sunna pasand karenge aap?? Agar yeh sunna chahthe hai ke main teek hoom'.toh suniye'.haan main bohat bohat khush hoom'..ek princess ke tarah apni life jee rahi hoom''.[pausing for a moment and taking a long breath] aur kuch poochna hai aapko??

Arjun: Riyaaa''itna behrukhi se kyun baat kar rahi ho?? kuch hua hai kya?? Sab teek hai na?? kya maine kuch galathi kiya hai??

Riya: [sarcastically] aapne kahaan kuch kiya hai sir??[letting out a quick sigh] Khair chodiye'..inn sab baaton ka ab koyi fayda nahi hai'..

Arjun: [nods as he doesn't wish to prolong the talk and hurt her] chalo'main tumhe drop kar detha hoom'.

Riya: [low voice: drop toh aapne pehle hi kar diya hai sir'.aur kitna karenge?]

Arjun hears bit and pieces of her statement and is all flared up'.."kya kaha tumhe?? Phir se kaho"

Riya: [ignoring his anger]mujhe aapke lift nahi chahiye'..i can manage'.

Arjun: [ignores her previous comment for now] bohat raat hogayi hai'.ab argue matth karo'plz chalo mere saath'.

Riya knew that he was right and arguing for this was a senseless thing to do''She just nods and winds up for the day'..Gathering up her things and roughly putting them into her bag, she follows him'..

As they drive in silence, neither wanting to break the soothing silence which was talking volumes between them'..the urge to break it was overpowered by the fear of being or getting snubbed by the other'..Silence seemed to be the perfect language at such times'.

Arjun's line of thoughts: All his thoughts were revolving around the lady seated beside him, "Riya, kya ho raha hai tumaare life mein? Aise kuch toh hai jo mujhse chupi hai''.bathaa bhi dho na? main koyi aur se yeh sab jaan na nahi chaahtha Riya! Mujhe aisa kyun lag raha hai ke tum bohat dukhi ho'.tensed ho'.plz Riya, mujhe samjhaavo na!"

Riya on the other hand was also thinking about her boss'."nahi Sir, main yeh sab aapse share nahi kar sakthi'..aap jaankar bhi kya karenge??? "

He didn't ask her the route to her home'..He took the right turns and as they neared her house, he broke the silence'He wanted to know more about her life without giving her the impression that he was trespassing her private space''So he casually enquired "Suraj kaisa hai?"

Riya was a little taken aback by his sudden question'.what could she reply? But she gathered herself up and replied slowly "hmmm he is fine!"

As Arjun stopped the SUV, he saw that the lights of the complex were switched off and it was pitch dark'..So he suggested "main tumhe ghar tak chod dehtha hoom'."

Riya shot back instantly "nahi'.uski koyi zaroorat nahi'..ab inn sab ki aadhat hogayi hai!"

He stood there till she vanished from his sight and then let a deep sigh as he reversed the vehicle'.
