It was around 11 in the night when Khushi started tossing around the bed uncomfortably. She tried to sleep for another 10 minutes but groaned and gave up. She got up from the bed, tied her hair and walked out to the balcony. She figured she couldn't sleep because she was still thinking about the incidents with Shyam when her phone started ringing. She picked it up and smiled when she saw the caller id.
"Hellooo sexy'." Khushi said when she picked up the phone. Arnav relaxed on his bed and said "aah good to know that my girlfriend thinks I'm sexy, I can finally sleep in peace. By the way what are you doing up at this time, you're supposed to be sleeping babe." Khushi pouted sadly and said "you're not sleeping either so have no right putting me to sleep when I know something is bothering you." Arnav grinned and said "Jaan I'm not worried about anything, I'm just sexually frustrated right now'" Khushi's jaw dropped open and she turned a shade of red and stammered and said "ARNAV! Can you keep those thoughts to yourself please?" "Oh come on baby! I know you want me too'anyways leave all of this. What are you wearing jaan?" asked a lazy Arnav. Khushi blushed and cuddled up to the pillows and said "Arnav it's 11 pm at night, I would obviously be wearing PJs!" Arnav chuckled and said "Very funny babe, just tell me what you are wearing will you!" Khushi bit her lip and said "Well I'm wearing silky gold short shorts with a Victoria Secret's tee, anything else my love?" Arnav groaned and said "Urrm Khushi, what have you turned me into? I want you NOW!" With that he kept the phone much to an amused Khushi. She felt satisfied so she went back to sleep.
Khushi suddenly jolted out of her sleep when she felt strong arms picking her up. First she thought it was a dream but later opened her eyes to desire filled irises. She pinched herself and asked "Arnav? What the hell are you doing here?" Arnav just kept her on the balcony floor and put himself on her and took her lips into a wild, mind numbing kiss which made both of them forget themselves.
Arnav and Khushi's night continued in each other's arms. Their happy place.
The sun rise made Khushi stir uncomfortably while seeking for Arnav's warmth. She pressed her head into his neck and cuddled up to him. Arnav in the mean time tried getting up from the cold marble floor when he felt Khushi press against him. It was then that the previous night came flooding back. Arnav smiled and kissed Khushi's forehead which made her moan and cuddle even closer making Arnav chuckle. He realized that they were both cuddled close together so he nudged her a bit and she slowly opened her eyes as Arnav slowly got up and pulled on his pants. Khushi pouted sadly and said "Do you have to go?" Arnav smiled and kissed her forehead and said "I don't want to but I have to and your parents might get up soon. Sorry babe but it is only for a few more days and then you will be all mine." Khushi watched as he went down the ladder and blew a flying kiss for her while she giggled and went off to get ready.
Khushi came out of the shower wearing a yellow salwar with white churidhaar pants and white embroidery. She was drying her hair when her phone rang so she walked and picked it up. "Hello?" she answered. No answer'No answer. "Hmm strange." Khushi said so she kept the phone down but it rang again and still nobody picked up. It happened for the third time and she got so pissed that she yelled into the phone. This time the voice on the other side was rusty and mysterious and he said "I love you too Jaan." And the phone got cut after that leaving a shocked and scared Khushi. She brought down the phone and sat on the bed and called up Arnav. He immediately answered and said "Missing me already sweets?" Khushi calmed down a little and smiled and talked for a bit and cut the call. Who was that? She wondered. For the rest of the morning she couldn't talk or eat properly, her mind was only thinking about that phone call. She was sure that it wasn't Shyam because he didn't sound at all like that and she knew that he was in jail so who could it be?
She felt as if she knew that voice from somewhere. It was not old but it definitely belonged to someone who was in his middle 30's but she didn't know anybody who had that voice, and how did he get her number? Her thoughts were interrupted by a girl screaming when she soon turned and saw her sister slipping on the floor. She yelled out and ran to Payal and helped her get on the couch. "Jiji, are you okay? What happened? You should be more careful!" said a concerned Khushi. Payal smiled at her sister and her mother and said "its okay, I was not concentrating on where I was walking." With that everybody retired to their old work when Khushi sat next to Payal and asked "Jiji you better tell me everything because I know something is bothering you." Payal looked up at her and said "Khushi don't tell this to anyone but I was walking back into the house when I saw a man staring at our house. He was average height with black hair and he was wearing a full suit. He saw me looking at him and soon walked away. While I was thinking about it, I missed the water on the floor and I slipped. When I tried getting up, my hand touched the water but I realized that it was red and oily, almost as if it was liquid sindoor. I don't know whether I am dreaming Khushi but this is really scaring me." Khushi looked shocked and frightened while her sister assured her that everything was fine so she drank a glass of water and grabbed her phone and walked to the front door of the house and indeed there was a red liquid on the tiles. Khushi bent down and touched the liquid and almost immediately she got a call from an unknown number so she answered. "That liquid is what I am going to fill in your Maang Khushi'" said the voice. He cut the phone leaving a shivering Khushi. She soon wiped the stain and walked out of the house.
Khushi was in a deep thought when she bumped into a hard chest and screamed. She opened her eyes and saw that it was Arnav and she burst into tears and hugged him.
Arnav's heart tugged when he saw Khushi crying and what shocked him even more was the way she was holding onto him. He rubbed her back and carried her to the back of the house and sat on the bench while she sat on his lap and kept her face in the crook of his neck. Arnav was worried by this time and asked "Khushi? What happened? Why are you crying?" Khushi looked around scared and nestled herself even more into his arms and said "Aaarnav urm'.urrr" Arnav got her off his lap and made her sit next to him while she put her legs up and snuggled into his arms while he held her tightly and said "tell me Khushi'" Khushi took a deep breath and explained everything that happened. Arnav's face clenched in fury and his eyes turned black with anger and he held her even more possessively while he kept kissing her face protectively ensuring her that he won't let anything happen.
Khushi was cocooned in Arnav's arms when her phone rang again. She slowly picked it up and when she saw the same number, she started shivering again and Arnav grabbed the phone off her hands and picked it up but didn't say anything. "Aaah Mr. Arnav Singh Raizada! Very nice to finally see you. I just wanted to say that, tell your fiance that the happiness she has right now with you is only short lived as I will take her away and you know the best part? You won't be able to do ANYTHING about it." With that he cut the phone leaving an angry and outraged ASR. Khushi had heard everything and fresh tears brimmed her eyes and she clutched Arnav's shirt even tighter while he held her while he twitched in anger and promised himself and Khushi that he won't let anybody take her away. When she didn't stop crying, he brought her face up to his and placed a hot passionate kiss on her lips. He poured everything into that one kiss. Promises, Love, Trust, Protection, everything. He swore to her and all the gods that he will never let anybody take Khushi away from him and if they did, he will hunt them down and rip their hearts out. Still holding Khushi, Arnav took his phone out from his pocket and called Aman. He explained everything to him and gave him the unknown phone number when he felt tears on his shirt. He looked down to see a shell shocked Khushi clutching his shirt tightly. He softened at her gaze and kept the phone while he carried her back home.
