Hello all. M back with the next chapter. I thought a lot about introducing Daadi but then we already have a lot of mess in Arshi's life. So i dropped the idea of bringing her here. She will b a part of my next story.

My works are more inclined towards friendship instead of commitments, relationships n love life coz I am a bit partial towards friendship rather then love, no offence to those who think otherwise. 😊

Chapter 35

Arnav & Khushi reached AR after two hours. They were happy as it was the first time that they had spent some quality time together, although they would never mention this fact in front of each other that they actually enjoyed each other's company. Arnav had asked Khushi to collect her stuff and go home as it was already evening but Khushi did not want to leave. She had given the excuse of a lot of pending work along with the designs part Arnav was doing, in order to buy some more time with him.

Khushi's Cabin

It had been 2 hours since they returned. Both of them were engrossed in their work. After some time, Arnav was done with his first design.

Arnav: Khushi ye design dekhna.

Khushi took the design from him to see if there r any changes required. The design was definitely a masterpiece. She had to think hard to see what changes should b made keeping the original design intact. She stared at it for some time. Arnav was watching Khushi all this while, reading her expressions, the way she made faces when she was trying to think of something new, they way she frowned when she rejected something, the way she concentrated to visualize the changes she has in her mind.

Suddenly Khushi started telling Arnav about the changes which she thinks appropriate for the design. Arnav listened to her intently. They discussed a lot about the ideas & the changes that can b made. Arnav was very impressed to see Khushi's growth as a designer. There were discussions, there were arguments, & there were some moments when the arguments were getting worse and the suddenly one of them would suggest something lame which would make them both laugh. They had never thought that they will ever enjoy each other's company so much. It was a whole new experience and they wanted to treasure the moments they were getting to spend together. Their comfort level was improving every minute. Arnav ji had finally turned into Arnav. 😉

It was 10.30 at night when they realized that it was really late ad they r the only ones left in the office. So they wrapped up their work and planned what they had to continue the next day. Arnav offered to drop Khushi and she accepted as otherwise she would have to call the driver and wait till he comes.

Arnav's car

Arnav: Sonam pohanch gai??

Khushi: Haan usne call ki thi. They reached safely.

Arnav: That's good. She was very excited about the concert.

Khushi: I hope wo theek ho.

Arnav (squeezing her hand which was in her lap): Don't worry Khushi. She's strong. She'll b fine. Or fir Dii, Sriti & Harshad are also there with her. They will take good care of her.

Khushi: I know Arnav. It's just that m too scared myself.

Arnav: I can't blame u for that. But trust me, she will b fine.

Khushi just smiled. They reached Mehta Mansion. Arnav stayed in the car when Khushi got down.

Khushi: U won't come inside??

Arnav: Actually I was just planning to go home now.

Khushi: We had a late lunch n then u didn't eat anything. Have dinner first. U have to take ur medicine too.

Arnav (too happy to b at the receiving end of his wife's concern): I would have stayed Khushi. But I really need to go now. I'll have something when I reach home.

Khushi: Ok. But have something for sure.

Arnav: Definitely. Good night.

Khushi: Good night Arnav.

Khushi went inside. She didn't feel like eating something. So she just left for her room directly. On the other hand, Arnav was very excited that he had spent a very nice time with Khushi. He was driving back towards RM when he decided to call Sonam as he wanted to share this with her. So he called her.

Sonam: Hello.

Arnav: Hey Princess. How r u??

Sonam (smiling to hear the excitement in his voice): M fine jiju. But it seems like u r too happy. Any progress??

Arnav: Lots actually. But first of all, tell me r u okay?? R u comfortable over there??

Sonam could understand what he wanted to ask.

Sonam: Don't worry jiju. M fine. Such matters can't keep on bothering me forever. N u r coming next week. Remember??

Arnav: Of course I do. I'll b there with u next week. By the way, my manager Aman is also in Mumbai for a very important project. I have told him to bother u if he needs any help. I hope u won't have any problems with that.

Arnav was planning to hide Aman's presence in Mumbai from Sonam but then he decided that it was better to let her know so that in case of any emergency, he could reach them.

Sonam (cheekily): Happy to help jiju. Tell him that we r just a call away if any help is needed.

Arnav: Thanks Princess. (pause) Well' Did u talk to Rishi??

Sonam (seriously): There's nothing to discuss jiju. He had his reasons to b angry n I had my own reasons for hiding all that.

Arnav: I understand. I just want u to resolve it. U r best friends.

Sonam: It can't b resolved over a phone call jiju. I'll talk to him when I meet him. Till then, just let it b. (changing the topic) Anyways, u tell me, how was ur day??

Arnav told her everything that happened the whole day. He didn't hide anything as he had found a confidante in Sonam.

Sonam: Not bad jiju. U r actually a genius. What a move!! That means we have a solution for the next three days. I know u will think of something for later also.

Arnav: I will. I won't let this chance go.

Sonam: All the best jiju. Now m off to sleep. M tired after all the travelling today. So good night for now.

Arnav: Good night Princess. Sleep well.

Arnav reached RM. He was feeling light after talking to Sonam. It's hard to b friends with the one u love but it was giving him a chance to b with Khushi & win her back by showing how he felt and still giving her the space to b free with him. What else could he ask for?? He had his dinner and then went to his room.

Mehta Mansion

Khushi's Room

Khushi was tossing & turning in her bed. Sleep was miles away from her. Suddenly her phone beeped informing her of a new message received.

I had my dinner as well as my medicine. Now go and have ur dinner. I don't want u to starve because u r worried about me.

Arnav

That one message brought a huge smile on her face & she went to the kitchen to have her dinner.
