It's something different at least...provided she actually gets to do something significant with the boxer angle. If it's just for the introductory scenes where she impresses Akshay then it will be a waste.

yup...Bingo! ive seen thuppaki and thts all it is for the heroine...😆

guy rejects the gal an arranged marriage meeting coz he finds her too regressive and doormatty...

later tht day, guy attends an intercollege boxing match and finds out the girl is a boxing champ and falls in love with her...

then therz the routine love story...😆

thuppaki dosent even need a heroine tbh...
