breaking of the mangalsutra

all the couples in the soaps who have to go through endless problems, the women always have their mangalsutra broken...it has never turned out to be a bad symbol but always shown that they will overcome any and every problem in their marriage...i think it symbolises that who or whatever is trying to break them apart will never succeed they will always be together and become stronger in their bond of love and marriage...
