| Middle East in the month of Ramzan can be quite trying but Balaji Telefilms' daily soap Kasamh Se's cast and crew who have just returned from Dubai after a four-day shooting stint appear to be quite cheerful inspite of its grueling schedules. Ekta Kapoor made it a point to be there in person, as the entire plot is conceptualized by her and the serial is very close to her heart.
We spoke to Roshni Chopra aka Pia while she was on an outdoor shoot there and she informed, "As the month of Ramzan is on, we cannot even drink water or chew gum in public as it is a punishable offence here. But we are having a whale of a time bonding with each other (she shared the room with Prachi Desai - Bani) and shooting non-stop. After 6 o'clock you get amazing food with a wide range of international cuisines. There are beautiful shopping malls and I am dying to shop." After coming back from Dubai, Ashwini Kalsekar, who plays Jigyasaa the scheming sister of Walia, comments on her trip, "We got tanned shooting continuously from morning till evening but were taken good care of by Balaji who had arranged for a special van on outdoors where we could eat and drink despite the fasting month that is on right now." She shopped for cream biscuits, chocolates for her family and perfumes from Body Shop for herself.
Since the story revolves mostly around Jay Walia, it was Ram Kapoor who seems to have found the trip more hectic than anyone else. "I used to shoot round the clock - from morning till 7 the next morning. But, I managed to take time off on the last day and shopped for my wife Gautami and daughter." The track takes one month's leap immediately after going to Dubai and the story will get interesting with dramatic turns occurring between Jay Walia, Bani and Pia, with a love triangle in the offing. While Pia is separated from her husband Pushkar (Naman Shaw) and basking in the work for Mr. Walia, separated wife Bani (Prachi Desai) turns up in Dubai to profess her love for him requesting him to give their marriage a second chance. Pia appears disappointed with the turn of events as she herself has designs on Jay Walia. |
