After a couple of second leads in serials like Kaahin To Hoga and Kasauti Zindagi Kay, Surveen Chawla has landed the main role in Sony's new serial Kaajal - Sabki Naino Mein Basi. Kaajal is the story of a simple small-town girl who's dreaming of her rajkumar. Set in the picturesque hill-station of Mussourie the story follows Kaajal's journey to Mumbai and her search for love. Kaajal is shown to be a bubbly, vivacious, adorable person and Surveen completely identifies with her. "It's almost as if I am playing myself," says the actress.
While Kaajal plays a radio jockey in the serial, her hero Dev played by Apurva Agnihotri is the debonair scion of a business empire. He has a dark past, which has made him bitter, a recluse, and a loner. He is unapproachable, unsocial and comes across as being arrogant. Sounds like a typical Mills & Boon story. Well it is... The rest of the cast includes Rati Agnihotri, Rita Bhaduri, Rohit Bakshi, Manish Choudhary, Indira Krishnan and Kishwar. The soap is produced by Twenty-Twenty TV, a part of the K Sera Sera group and is directed by Ashish Patel who has, to his credit, hit serials like Kumkum - Pyara Sa Bandhan.
