Gosh.. I only took my diploma 4 years back when I just turned 18 in november and I'll only complete my degree in July 2014 (when i'm 24)... by the pace you're going, I think you'll start working by 21..😲

I'm from the UK. When I was 16, I completed my GCSEs and after that you can either carry on in education, go to college or go off to work. You don't have to stay in school if you don't want to. That was for my year but the laws here now have changed and I think you have to stay in school till you are 18. I decided to carry on in education and chose to study A Levels in four subjects of my choice. I chose Bio, Chem, ICT and Maths. A Levels last for 2 years and after the first year you can choose to drop a subject so I dropped Maths. Now in my final year which finishes in June/July I am doing 3 A Levels. Then when I get my results in August, depending on what I get I can then go on to uni. You don't have to if you don't want to. Some people get jobs or do apprenticeships. At uni I will study a course I have chosen (Pharmacy). The courses usually last about 3-4 years. Mine is 4 years and then I have another year where I do pre-registration exams so I then become a qualified pharmacist. By that time I will be about 23 I think 😆
