"What would you like to have,bhabhi??Tea or coffee??"Aadi asked to Geet, like a good host.
"No tea or coffee..Its already lunch time so lets pounce on yummy food you have cooked for us.."Geet replied to him with a smile.
"Yes adi..geet is right..Lets eat.."Maan consented with geet.
"Fine .. ..let me arrange the food on dining table then.."Aadi exclaimed as he got up from the couch.
"I would help you..""Geet offered.
"No no..bhabhi..don't bother..I would do it.."Aadi tried to deny her.
"First please stop calling me bhabhi..aadi..!!! Call me geet!!!..and secondly,don't be so formal..I have already heard your phone conversation with your best friend few minutes ago...so i kind of already know some secrets that i should not know..It would be better if you stop pretending a gentleman infront of me..Now tell me fast where is kitchen??"Geet said everything nonchalantly.
"Its there.."Aadi answered pointing towards the kitchen door with an awkward smile on his face.
"Thank you for kind information.."Geet exclaimed as Maan and Aadi watched her entering the kitchen.
"Why did you call me when she was near you???"Aadi said in low voice,gritting his teeth in anger while his hands grabbed Maan's collars harshly as soon geet entered the kitchen.
"I did not know she was behind me.."Maan explained trying hard to free his collars.
"How could you be so careless,maan???What would be she thinking about me..."
"It was not my fault aadi.. and better you run in the kitchen now before she could find those magazines there..."Maan exclaimed freeing his collars forcefully from his hold. Next moment he saw aadi running towards the kitchen.
Aadi took a breath of relief finding geet all busy in checking the serving bowls.
"Everything is of your choice..Hope you would like it geet..."
Aadi's voice diverted geet's attention from salivating aroma of "Rajma rice" to him..
"They are looking mouth watering aadi..Thank you so much.."Geet said as she put the lid back on the serving bowl.
"Thank your husband geet..He specifically asked me to cook "Rajma Rice" because its your favorite.."
"Thanks to both of you...Now common lets take all this to dining table..I am famished.."
"Give me few more minutes geet..Let me cut the salad.."Aadi said grabbing some cucumber and beet root from the refrigerator.
"I would cut them.."Geet said taking the cucumbers and beet root from his hands as she bent down to open the lower cabinet to grab the knife.
"Don't open that.."Aadi stopped her anxiously.
"Why not???I want knife..and moreover I have already seen those magazines there.."Geet answered opening the cabinet.
Aadi averted his gaze as he saw geet taking the knife which was kept just near the magazine with a not so decent image on its cover.
"I am sorry aadi...I was just looking for salt in the cabinet when i accidentally saw it.."Geet tried to defend herself for intruding in his privacy.
"Its ok geet...and These magazines are not mine.."
"Really???If they are not yours then why they are in your kitchen cabinet???"Geet asked while peeling off the cucumber.
"Its time for sweet revenge my friend...!!!"Aadi thought in his mind as he answered.."Maan brought all of them here after marriage..He reads all this stuff..I don't read them..."
"Ohhh yes..Maan had told me that you don't like such magazines..You read Hindi family magazines like Grehshobha,Grehlakshmi etc etc.."
"What???Maan told you so???"Aadi asked in confusion.
"Yes and he even told that your favorite section is..."Mahilayon ki swasthaya sambandhi samasayein"{Health problems of women}.."
"What???"Aadi exclaimed with his eyes popping out from the sockets due to shock."He is lying geet..I don't read such things..How could he say so???Let me ask him.."He spoke further as he turned around to leave the kitchen.
"Maan did not lie aadi.."
Geet's words halted his hurried steps as he heard her speaking further.."One who is lying here is "me"..Maan did not say all this...and one who was lying here few minutes ago is "you"..I know these magazines are yours..."
His cheeks burned in embarrassment making it impossible for him to turn back towards geet.
"Now stop staring at door aadi..Help me taking this salad and yummy food to dining table.."Geet said after sometime to ease the awkwardness.Her statement made aadi come near the shelf.
Geet gave an amused smile watching aadi collecting the dishes with his head hung down..
"Would you control your "embarrassment now aadi?? lets be friends.."Geet said bringing forward her hand.
Aadi kept back the serving bowl on the shelf as he took geet's hand in his.."Friends"..He said with a smile.

"I just loved "Three idiots"..Especially "Chatur" from that movie is my favorite.."Geet said mixing the rajma with rice in her plate.
"I liked the movie too but I pity that guy chatur..It was not his fault if his hindi was poor..I did not like that part.."Aadi replied.
"Common aadi..His poor hindi was best part of the movie..How couldn't you like it???"Geet said with disappointment..
Maan was looking at his wife and his best friend incredulously who were deeply immeresed in their conversation since last twenty five minutes.They have shared almost everything from each other's favorite color to favorite holiday destination.Now they were discussing movies and He was continuously and completely ignored by both of them.It felt like Aadi was geet's best friend and Maan was meeting him for first time..
"Would you guys stop talking for a while??Talking is not good while eating.."Maan said in urgency making both of them aware of his presence at the dining table.
"Common maan...we are not talking that much.."Aadi said looking towards him.
"You guys are talking continuously since last half an hour.."Maan exclaimed.
"Yes..we are talking..because we are not boring like you..We are normal fun loving people who love to chit chat.."Geet retorted this time.."Aadi..Is he always like this???"She asked aadi further.
"Yes geet..He can break the record of being silent for maximum hours.."Aadi replied.
"No..he can't,aadi..Laddu is not that "abnormal"..
"I am not "abnormal",Hemamalini..."Maan exclaimed with irritation.
"Look aadi I told you so..You just have to call him laddu and his tongue would start working itself..."Geet said laughing this time,making aadi laugh with her.
"I know geet..He gets irritated like a kid when someone calls him laddu..."
"Look both of you,neither I am abnormal nor I am a kid..Both of you are abnormal..Your tongues don't take rest for a single minute,once you start speaking and I am not like you.I use my tongue only when its needed.."Maan said in an annoyed voice.
"Yes when geet teases you by calling laddu..."Aadi said with an amused smile only to get a "high five"from geet.
"Its not like that aadi..and I can prove it.."Maan retorted.
"How???"Geet asked this time with much curiosity.
"I would be silent till all of us finish this "gazar ka halwa"..You can call me by any name you want during this time.."Maan said in a challenging tone.
"Done.."Geet consented for the bet first.
"wow..that would be exciting..But what would the "winner" get???"Aadi asked.
"If i won then Geet would never call me laddu and she won't stop me from calling her hema malini.."Maan answered.
"and if geet won??"Aadi asked looking towards geet now.
"If I won then Maan would dance on "Single ladies"and He has to dance exactly like "Beyonce"..."Geet said with a naughty smirk.
"You are not going to win Hema malini.."Maan said with confidence as three of them dug their spoons in their plates having "gazar ka halwa"..
Aadi and Geet were relishing each and every bite slowly to increase the time for finishing the halwa,however geet's mind was busy wondering how to make her husband speak.She knew very well that calling "laddu" would not work this time.Her chain of thoughts were broken by aadi's voice as he said...
"You know geet..we used to call him "MS" in school.."
"MS as in "Maan Singh"???"
"No..No..MS was the abbreviation for "Mystery Solver.."
As those words escaped aadi's lips,Maan choked on his halwa and started coughing loudly.Geet could contemplate that "Mystery" here meant something else.,but she could not loose the chance to win this bet.She should take maximum advantage of the situation,she thought as she asked aadi..
"He used to solve mysteries???"
"Yes geet..It was like his hobby..He could spend his entire day in solving mysteries..."Aadi answered without having slightest of idea how geet was deducing his words.Where as geet controlled her laugh,maan clenched his fists.He so much wanted to stop aadi from speaking further but he was helpless.
" With whom aadi???One can't solve mystery all alone..I am sure some girl from your class would have helped him.."Geet exclaimed.
"Why do you girls think of yourself so smart??? He never needed a girl to do all this..He could do it all alone.."Aadi answered.
"All alone?? How is that possible??? I am sure aadi,He would have needed a partner sometimes.."
"Yes..he needed sometimes but he never needed a girl..I am his best friend..I was always there for him.." Aadi said with pride in his voice.
"You were his partner???"Geet asked controlling her laugh with much effort.
"Yes geet..Though i was not as smart as him but he was always there to guide me..I used to follow his instructions.."Aadi explained further.
That was the limit for Maan and geet both as aadi found Geet laughing hysterically next minute,where as Maan got up from his chair.
"He was talking about solving "Physics numericals.."..Maan said in loud voice looking towards geet who was laughing like maniacs.
"Ohk..."Geet said as she gestured with her eyes towards the plates..They had not finished the halwa yet..
"You have lost maan.."Aadi said patting maan's shoulder.
"and Now he would be our "Beyonce" for the night.."Geet exclaimed with cheeky smile.
"Not night geet..say "afternoon".."Aadi corrected.
"oh yes...for the afternoon.."Geet said running towards the music system to play "single ladies" .
Maan smacked his fore head in irritation as he imagined himself swaying his hips like Beyonce.
