CHAPTER 48 (B). EVENTFUL TUESDAY!

Place - Geet's Room at Khurana Mansion

Geet greeted the morning with a smile as she woke up. She sleepily looked at the calendar on the wall only to have a wave of excitement run through her body. Hey Babaji! Aaj toh Tuesday hai! Iska matlab aaj mujhe College jaana hai Admission ke liye! Aur mujhe NT Di ke saath jaana hai! Yaad haina tujhe Geet ki Maan ne NT Di ko bhi saath chalne ko kahaa tha! Geet stood up excitedly and smiled happily. She looked at the ceiling and mumbled, "Bas Babaji aaj ka din achcha jaaye aur meri admission theek tarah se hojaaye!"

Place - Arnav's Room at Shantivan

Arnav stared at the plant in front of him from one angle and then walked a few steps back and stared at it again. Did the plant need any more trimming or was it ok? Arnav wondered as he stared at his beloved plant. A few feet away from him, Anjali sighed as she stood at the pool side doorway staring at her brother. Ya toh chote ki shaadi humein kisi maali ki beti se karwaani chaahiye ya kisi nursery owner se! Jara dekho toh inhein! Kaise jhaad ko ghoore jaa rahe hain! Koi dekhega toh kahega ki Arnav Singh Raizada is baar kapdon se nahi Patte se fashion statement banaayenge! She tried to imagine models dressed in leaves and flowers and burst out laughing. Arnav was jerked out of his thoughts by his sister's laugh. He looked at her in shock, "Di aap theek toh hain?", he asked with an eyebrow raised. Anjali stifled her giggles by pressing her lips together and nodded solemnly. "Aapko kuch kaam tha?", Arnav asked his Di. Anjali smiled as she remembered the reason she was here. "Arre haan! Chote! Woh humaara ek kaam kardijiye! Humein ek do Colleges mein Donation ke liye cheque dene jaana hai! Toh aap aaj chale jaayiye! Woh kya haina ki hum har saal khud se jaate hain par aaj Doctor ki appointment hai aur un Colleges ne kahaa hai ki aaj hi cheque de denge toh Admission ke waqt woh Scholarship Programmes ke baare mein Students ko inform bhi kar sakte hain! Actually total donation ke baad hi woh decide kar sakte hain ki kitne students ko woh Scholarship provide kar sakte hain! Aap samajh rahe haina ki hum kya keh rahe hain! Aap personally jaayenge toh Raizada Group ki image ko bhi achcha impact padega!", Anjali completed her speech and waited for Arnav's reply. Arnav nodded at his sister, "Theek hai Di! I will go there. Aap bas mujhe College ki aur Donation ki amounts ki details de dijiye!" Anjali happily nodded and gave the documents she was holding in her hands to Arnav and happily skipped away; well… as much as she could skip with her limp and her baby bump. But you can understand what I am trying to say right?

Place - Delhi Architectural College

Geet sighed as she waited for the line to move while NT looked around sitting nearby. The College had three buildings out of which one housed all the Offices while other two housed the classrooms. Geet was standing in the line for admission outside the Administration Room in the main building with all her documents and fully filled forms. NT had offered that they could bypass the line by using Maan's name but Geet had refused. Even though Geet was standing in the line for almost an hour she was still smiling and looking as excited as she was in the morning. NT smiled and shook her head as she noticed Geet's excitement. Kitni bachchon jaisi hain humaari Geet! Achcha hai! Aap aise hi rahiye Geet! Humaare serious type Veerji ko aise hi bachkaani harkaton waali ladki chaahiye joh unhein hasna aur zindagi ko enjoy karna sikhaaye!

"Haan Di! Aapne jo list mein total chaar Colleges ka naam diya tha usmein se maine teen colleges cover kar liye! Now I am at Delhi Architectural College! I will just meet the principal and get done with it!", Arnav mumbled into the phone standing outside the Principal's Office in the main building as his Di listened from the other side. After saying his bye Arnav entered the Principal's Office.

Geet smiled happily as she looked at her i-card. She had to stand for another half hour before her admission was done but even the fatigue of standing in the line for almost two hours had not diminished the smile on her face. NT shook her head. Bilkul bachchon jaisi hai! Babaji isko aise hi khush rakhna! Both the ladies walked towards the entrance of the main building. Suddenly, NT noticed a familiar face nearby, "Arnav Bhai!" Geet looked at her in confusion. NT looked at her and pointed out a guy dressed in red colored shirt and black colored vest, pant and tie. Geet still seemed confused. NT rolled her eyes, "Arre! Woh Arnav Bhai hain! Maan Veerji ke bahut achche dost! Aayiye aaj hum aapko unse milaate hain!" She grabbed Geet's hand dragging her towards the guy while hollering, "Arnav Bhai!"

Arnav walked out of the Principal's Office towards the main building entrance now that his work was done when someone shouted, "Arnav Bhai!" from behind. He turned around and noticed NT coming towards him with a friend in tow.

As NT marched towards Arnav, Geet's phone rang. Both the ladies stopped and looked at the caller id. It was Maan calling. NT giggled while Geet looked embarrassed. NT winked at Geet, "Uthaayiye! Uthaayiye! Hum kuch nahi bolenge! Kya pata shaayad woh aapko bahut miss kar rahe hai! Aur kya pata woh aapko itna miss kar rahe hain ki woh aapko pick up karne aagaye! Shaayad woh baahar hi khade hain yeh bataane ke liye call kiya ho!" Geet glared at her but NT laughed unfazed. After facing Maan's glare for so many years, Geet's glare was of no effect. NT spoke again, "Aap baat kijiye hum abhi aate hain Arnav Bhai se milke!" As NT walked away, Geet picked up the phone, "Hello Maan! Mera admission hogaya!" Geet continued chattering about how she would start studying soon when Maan interrupted her, "Oye! Meri Miss. Bak-Bak kitna bolti ho. Jara saans toh lo!" Geet blushed in embarrassment and giggled but continued talking in a slower pace.

Arnav smiled at NT and as NT came close he hugged her. "Kaisi ho NT?", Arnav spoke and NT replied, "Hum theek hain! Aap kaise hain Arnav Bhai?" Arnav nodded and both continued talking and walked towards the main entrance. Geet followed them at a distance chattering with Maan about her admission with full details. As Arnav and NT reached the entrance they kept on talking and Geet walked past them towards the Khurana car which was parked in front of the building. She stood by the car and went on chattering.

Arnav was talking with NT when his phone rang. NT noticed this and spoke, "Achcha Arnav Bhai hum chalte hain! Akash ki sagaai mein milenge!" Arnav nodded at her and they hugged each other again. As NT walked away towards the car, Arnav checked the caller and picked the call through his Bluetooth. He walked a few steps away from the building and Khurana Car and closer to his car. "Khushi tumne is waqt call kyun kiya? Sab theek toh haina? Tum theek toh hona?" "Arre! Hum aapko aise hi call nahi kar sakte kya? Har waqt koi wajah hona chaahiye kya aapse baat karne ke liye?", came Khushi's response. "Nahi Sweetheart! Aisi baat nahi hai! Bolo! Kaise call kiya?", Arnav replied. "Bas aise hi! Kuch kaam nahi tha toh aapko call kiya!" Arnav raised an eyebrow, "Oh toh main tumhaari timepass ki cheez hoon!", he spoke in a teasing voice. "Arre! Humne aisa kab kahaa? Aap bhi na Arnavji pata nahi kaha se kaha baat ko le jaate hain!" Arnav continued to speak teasingly with his Afreen.

NT reached the car only to find Geet still talking to Maan. She shook her head. Love birds! Geet noticed her and shied a bit. NT pointed at her watch signaling that they should get going. Geet pointed at the phone and then showed her forefinger to NT as if asking for one more minute. NT nodded and winked at her. NT was about to enter the car when she noticed that the sun was getting higher and the heat was building up. She turned towards Geet and tugged Geet's duppatta end. She draped the duppatta on Geet's head and handed Geet her goggles. Geet smiled in thanks and wore the goggles. Happy that Geet was safe from heat, NT sat into the car.

Place - Outside Khurana Constructions

Khushi was babbling about her day into her phone. She had gotten up from her seat and had come out of her Office building so that she could babble at her heart's content. Suddenly, she heard a gunshot fire on the other end of the phone followed by two more. "Arnavji yeh aawaaz kaisi?", She questioned. But she did not get any reply. "Arnavji?", she said in worry but her Arnavji did not reply. "ARNAVJI!!!", she screamed but there was no response from the other side of the phone.

Place - Maan's Cabin at Khurana Constructions

Maan smiled contently as he heard his Soni. This is life! His business was going perfect and now he had Soni in his life to fulfil the loneliness in it. Now there was someone at his home waiting for him daily. This is life! He thought with a smile on his face when suddenly the smile was ripped off from his face as he heard three gunshots fired by succession. He heard the phone clatter on the floor and shouted, "Soni! Tum theek ho? Soni please say something!" But his Soni did not reply. "Soni! Soni! GEET!", Maan roared but only silence greeted him from other side.

Place - Few minutes earlier at the College Campus

As Khushi continued to babble about how much she enjoyed the trip to rose farm, Arnav looked around. While he did not mind hearing Khushi talk, the heat trickling down Arnav's back was getting to him. He turned towards his car and started to walk towards it when he got a shock. A man standing far away by the gate had his gun aimed towards the building. Arnav turned around to check who the man was aiming at and noticed a girl standing by NT's car talking in the phone. Her face was turned away from him and the gate. 'Yeh toh wohi ladki hai jo NT ke saath aayi thi!', Arnav thought. He looked back at the sniper and swallowed all the while ignoring Khushi's chatter in his ear through his bluetooth. As he looked at the sniper, he realized that the man was aiming towards the girl and the girl was oblivious to it. He gulped and ran towards the girl and pushed her down, falling down himself as a gunshot rang in the air. Soon, two more gunshots fired in the air. Arnav looked up and realized that they were behind the car. He heaved a sigh of relief. If the gunman was still there then he and the girl were safely hidden behind the car. He looked at the girl, "Aap theek toh hain?" The girl was dressed in a salwar kameez. Arnav could not make out her face as she had worn goggles and as her duppatta, draped on her head hid some of her features. The girl nodded when Arnav noticed NT coming out of the car. Knowing that the girl was safe in NT's hands, Arnav sneaked up from behind the car to look at the situation. He noticed people running here and there due to the gunning and the whole place was in chaos. He looked around and noticed the gunman running away. Arnav glared at the man and ran after him. 'How dare he fire at a woman and run away!', he thought as he ran after the gunman.

When NT heard the gunshots, her heart stopped beating for a minute. She looked outside the window to see Arnav crouching beside Geet. It took only a second for NT to realize that Geet was the target of the gunman and she opened the car door which was facing Geet and away from the gunman and got out. Arnav ran after the gunman leaving Geet in her hands. NT's hands were shaking but she hugged a shocked Geet and pulled her into the car. As she pulled her in, she noticed Geet's phone lying on the floor and remembered that Geet was still talking to Maan which Maan must have heard everything. She picked up the phone and mumbled "Veerji!" into it trying to stop her eyes from tearing up. She heard Maan heave a sigh of relief and NT mumbled with a trembling lips, "Veerji! Yahaan koi Geet ko maarne aaya hai! Par Geet goli nahi lagi! Arnav Bhai bhi yahi the aur unhonein use bacha liya! Geet theek hai bas thodi shock mein hai! Ab Bhai us nishaanebaaz ke peeche gaye hai!" "Theek hain! Driver ko bolo ghar chalne ke liye! Main abhi ghar pahunchta hoon!", Maan replied. NT looked at the driver who till then was quivering and hiding under the driver seat and told him to drive. The driver drove as if his tail was on fire with a trembling NT and a shocked Geet in the back seat.

Arnav ran behind the gunman for a short time but the gunman blended with the running crowd. Arnav came to stop and looked around but could not identify the shooter from the crowd. He turned back towards the parking area and noticed NT's car drive away. He sighed. So NT and the girl were safe. He took a deep breath. That is when he noticed his Bluetooth on and Khushi crying into his ears. "Khushi main theek hoon!", he spoke.

Place - Khurana Constructions

Khushi cried clutching the phone tighter. She had heard Arnavji speak, "Aap theek toh hain?", so she knew he was okay but the whole scenario of being shot got her crying till she heard Arnavji say, "Khushi main theek hoon!" That was it. Khushi had enough of it. She wiped her face and spoke into her phone with determination in her voice, "Aap abhi humse milne aa rahe hain abhi ke abhi!" "But Khushi..", Khushi cut Arnav off with, "Humein kuch nahi sunna! Aap abhi humse milne aa rahe hain! Humein aur kuch nahi jaante! Aap aa rahe hain matlab aa rahe hain!" Poor Arnav he had no chance against his Afreen. Khushi informed Sasha that she is taking a half day and walked off to the vacant bus stand wating for Arnav to come.

Maan walked out of his cabin towards his car, only making a quick stop at his brother's cabin and informing him of the situation. Soon, Dev followed his brother worried about his Bhabhi and wife while Maan instructed Sasha that both the brothers were taking a half day and she was to handle everything. Sasha was shocked. Pehle Khushi ne half day liya ab MK Sir aur Dev Sir! Maamla kya hai? After few minutes of thinking, she shrugged and walked off to her cabin.

Place - Khurana Mansion

NT paced in her room shocked out of her mind. The whole shooting had scared her. When they had entered the house, Geet had run towards the terrace and NT went into her room. As NT paced all she could think about was the attack. She shook her head. She needed a dstraction. She looked around and noticed her husband's beloved stereo cum radio. She went and put the radio on not caring about what song was being played. She just needed a distraction. As the guitar notes flew in the air she sat on the bed and closed her eyes. Soon the sweet notes of flute followed and NT heard someone enter the room. She stood up and turned around and there stood her Dev looking as relieved to see her as she felt seeing him. "Naina!", a whisper came out of Dev's lips but NT heard it clearly. Her eyes teared up and she marched swiftly towards Dev. She slammed into him and hugged him as tightly as she could.

"GEET!", Geet heard Maan holler and she turned around. She was standing in the terrace as she listened to the song coming from NT's room faintly. She turned around with a hitch in her breath. Maan was here. Her Maan was here. She had stopped herself from tearing up till now as she knew there was no one to comfort her. But now that Maan was here she felt a tear slid down her face. Maan and Geet stood staring at each other as soft notes of flute flew around them. As tears started falling Geet's eyes, Maan opened his arms. That was it; Geet ran into him and hugged him.

Arnav drove in top gear as he thought about the shooting. As he remembered the girl who was attacked, he was struck by how similar the girl's dressing style with Khushi. What if the girl was Khushi? His heart lurched at the thought. Even if the girl was not Khushi, she must have been someone's lover. What her love would have gone through when he must have heard about the shooting! Arnav did not want to be in that lover's shoes right now! That's when he remembered that Khushi must have heard during the shooting. She must have felt the same thing the girl's lover must be going through! No wonder she demanded him to meet her immediately. To divert his mind from the shooting, he put on the radio. Soon the music filled the air as he reached the bus stop near KC. There stood his Khushi with tears in her eyes smiling as she realized that he was okay. He got down the car and Khushi ran towards him. But the moment they were in front of each other they stared at each other's face; Khushi in wonder and Arnav with simple smile.

Geet sat in the middle of the sofa in the living room with Maan sitting by her left and Dadima sitting by her right, sobbing her heart out as Police took her statement. Dadima carded her fingers through Geet's hair while Maan hugged Geet sideways. NT and Dev and sat by both holding each others' hands as NT relieved her memories of the shooting. Dev could feel NT tense and he made small circles by his thumb on her hand to calm her down. NT smiled at him as if thanking him for his silent support.

As the Police walked away promising Maan that the criminals will be caught soon and they would get Arnav's statement too, Dev's phone rang. It was Arnav asking if NT and her friend was alright. Dev told him that the girl attacked was none other than his Soni Bhabhi and handed the phone to Maan. Maan thanked Arnav for saving his life, Soni. "Don't thank me Maan! You would have done the same thing for my Khushi. And Maan ek request hain. Don't let this news reach my family. Di par bahut bura effect padega.", Arnav replied. "Don't worry about Angel. I have told the Police not to leak the event to the media. The news will be out of coverage. You just give your statement.", Maan said. "Don't worry about the statement. Tomorrow morning I will give my statement to the police. Let's see how the shooter does not get caught! And don't worry about the engagement. I will have the best security there. None of them will be able to touch Soni.", Arnav replied and Maan nodded grimly at his last comment. Soon, the talk ended and Maan went back to comforting his Soni.

Place - Buaji's House at Laxminagar

Khushi entered the house after making sure that there were no traces left on her face which showed that she was crying recently. She put on her best smile as she knocked the door. The door was opened by Paayal with a big grin on her face. Arre! Yeh Jiji ko kya hua? Kya Jijaji milne aaye hain? Before she could say anything, she was dragged by her sister to their room where she found a surprise. "Lavanya Di!", Khushi screamed as she ran and hugged her sister who was looking at her with a polite smile on her face. Soon the three sisters started chattering about their lives without regard to the time passing. But as the time passed, Khushi realized that there was something wrong with Lavanya. Her Lavanya Di seemed a bit sad and withdrawn. What was wrong? Khushi wondered. She decided to ask Di about it once they settled down and both of them were alone.

Place - Khurana Mansion

It was evening when Manorama Raizada alias Maami checked her make up umpteenth time in the mirror. After making sure that she looked perfect she sauntered into the living room of the house. Dadima was the first one to notice her and greeted her with a hug. Soon, they started chattering and later NT joined them. Dev and Maan were stuck in a video conference in the study so they could not meet Maami now but Dadima assured that Maami would see both of them to her heart's content soon. While Dadima was hinting towards Maan's engagement where Maami could see them for her heart's content Maami took this opportunity to invite the whole family for her son's engagement. Dadima and NT were elated to hear this news and agreed that the whole family will be present in the wedding. It was a very happy Dadima holding the invite to the engagement and a very excited NT planning her dress and jewellery for the event who said farewell to Maami.

Maami happily sauntered to her car eager to invite everybody to her son's engagement. She got into the car and checked her makeup in the mirror when suddenly something caught her eye; a girl dressed in salwar kameez was walking from the outhouse towards the house. Manorama could only see the girl's side profile. "Ee Kaun hai? Woo Ish Thish?", Manorama wondered. Soon, the car started driving when the girl turned and Maami got a clear look at her face for a second. That second was enough to give her a shock. "Baby???" The whole drive Manorama was in shock wondering whether the person she came across was Geet or her imagination?

Place - Shantivan

"Hum sach keh rahe hain. It wash Baby Bitiya!", Maami told Anjali while Naani looked on in disbelief. Both Naani and Anjali were in shock as Maami told them that she had seen their Baby at the Khurana Mansion. "Nahi Maamiji! Humein lagta hai aapko dhoka hua hai! Baby toh abhi apne ghar mein hogi apne gharwaalon ke saath! Uski chuttiyaan chal rahi haina! Toh woh yahaan kaise aayegi? Aur Delhi aayi bhi toh woh Khurana Mansion mein kyun rahegi? Yeh bhi toh uska ghar hi haina!", Anjali tried to convince Maami but Maami refused to budge. "Anjali bitiya theek hi toh keh rahi hain. Baby uhaan ka kar rahi hogi? Aapan hi toh keh rahi thi ki aapne sirf ek hi jhalak dekha. Kya pata koi aur ho?", Naani spoke but Manorama refused to back away from her belief. As far as she was concerned she had seen her Baby Bitiya! "Agar uu Baby na hai toh uu kaun thi? Na uu NT thi na uu Annie! Toh uu thi kaun? Who wash it?", Maami questioned. That is when it struck Anjali. "Arre! Woh Soni hogi! Maan ki Soni!", Anjali said and both the elder ladies looked at Anjali in shock and confusion. Anjali filled them about the news she got from Maan regarding his wedding. Naani and Maami were filled with happiness at the thought of Maan finding his life partner. Maami mumbled excitedly, "You mean to say Anjali bitiya that Maan say yes to marriagewa!" "Ji Mamiji! Maan is getting marriedwa!", Anjali replied but bit her lip as soon as she realized what she said while Naani laughed from behind. "Humaara matlab hai Maan Saab ne bhi ladki dhoondli hai!", Anjali spoke happily. Maami sighed,"So only our Arnav Bitwa left!" Anjali smiled and hugged Maami. Soon after Maami went, Dadima and NT excitedly discussed Aakash's engagement. After few minutes, Geet entered after walking in the garden and noticed the ladies discussing abot going to engagement. "Sagaai? Mujhe sagaai bahut achchi lagti hai! Do log ek bandhan mein bandh jaate hain aur apni khushi humaare saath baantte hain. Kiski sagaai hai?", Geet giggled happily as she wondered and Daadi seeing her excitement signaled her to take a look at the engagement invitation. "Aap Dekhiye Geet Beta! Hum itni hi sundar aapki sagaai ke card chapvaayenge!", Dadim said and Geet blushed as she took the card in her hand. "Kiski sagaai hai?", Geet asked again and NT replied, "Aaj subah jisne aapko bachaaya Geet unke parivaar mein sagaai hain. Dulhe ka parivar humaare parivaar ke family friends hain aur us ghar ka sabse bada beta Arnav Singh Raizada, jisne aapko bachaaya woh Maan Veerji ke best friend hain. " Geet was confused. 'Arre! Yeh toh Khushi ke Arnav ki baat kar rahi hain jo Maan ke dost hain!' Geet realized. In the morning due to excitement of getting into College it had not struck Geet that the Arnav Bhai NT was talking to was Khushi's Arnav. But now that she knew she wished she had seen Arnav's face more clearly. In shock due to the shooting, his face had not registered in her mind in the morning. NT continued speaking, "Arnav ke Bhai Aakash Singh Raizada ki sagaai hain!". Geet looked at NT in shock, 'Yehi naam toh Khushi ke hone waale Jijaji ka hai!'. Geet opened the card in her hand and looked at the girl's name in shock. "Kya hua Geet? Aap bahut pareshaan lag rahi hain!", NT spoke while Dadima looked on worriedly. "NT Di! Yeh Dulhan aur koi nahi Khushi ki badi behen Paayal hai!", Geet informed NT. Both NT and Dadima were surprised. How small the world was! Suddenly, NT giggled, "Ek minute! Agar Dulhan Khushi ki behen hai toh Khushi toh jaroor chaahegi ki dono Maan aur Dev ladki waalon ke taraf se aaye aur wahaan par Aakash expect kar rahe honge ki Dev jo unke Best friend hain aur Maan Veerji jo unke favorite hain unke side se ho! Ab kya hoga? Aur hum parivaar waale hain toh dono ghar mein don bhaiyyon sagaai ke kuch ghante pehle hi pahunchna hoga! Agar Aakash ke taraf se gaye toh Khushi naaraaz hogi aur Paayal ke taraf se gaye toh Aakash naaraaz honge! Maan Veerji aur Dev toh fas gaye!" Both the girls giggled while Dadi looked on amusedly.

Soon Maan and Dev joined the ladies and looked at the giggling ladies in shock. Dadima noticed their surprised faces and told them about their predicament. Dev was surprised, "Wow! What a small world! Bro ki secretary jo humaari behen jaisi hai uski behen ki shaadi humaare hi dost se ho rahi hai! This is really small world!" Suddenly, Geet remembered something and looked Maan in shock. Maan was looking surprised but Geet was sure that he was acting. She remembered him telling her on Sunday night when she told him about her flashback that he would take her to Paayal and Aakash's engagement. That meant Maan knew already that Khushi's sister was about to get engaged with Arnav's brother. Then why he did not tell this to her and Khushi? Did Arnav knew this truth? Geet was suspicious. 'Mujhe Maan se is baare mein baat karni hi padegi!'

Geet was brought out of her thoughts by Dadi, "Aapke problem ka ek solution hai humaare paas. Maan aur Dev, Aakash ko support karenge aur Paayal aur Khushi ki Bhabhiyaan yaani NT aap, aur Geet aap, Khushi ke ghar jaayenge aur unhein support karenge! Aur haan, NT beta aap kuch tohfe bhi apne saath lejaayein. Aakhir hum ladki waale hain! Itna karna toh humaara farz banta hai!". Both the couples agreed to Dadima's solution.

Place - Maan's Room at Khurana Mansion

It was nighttime and dinner was over when Geet followed Maan to his room. As soon as they entered the room, she started her questioning, "Aap jaante the na ki Arnav Khushi ke Jijaji ke Bhai hain? Boliye Maan! Aap jaante the na?" Maan gulped as he looked at Geet. 'Ab kya bolun? Sach ki jhoot? Maan Singh Khurana kabhi jhoot ka saath nahi deta! Toh sach hi sahi!', Maan thought and nodded. "Haan main jaanta hoon!" Geet smiled excitedly, "Waah! Yeh baat toh mujhe Khushi ko bataani hi hogi ki Arnav uska rishtedaar hai!" "NAHI!", Maan shouted and Geet looked at him in shock. "Kyun? Kyun main usko nahi bataaun?", Geet questioned. "Aaa….ummm….", Maan fumbled while Geet's frown deepened. "Woh….haan….woh….Arnav ko bhi nahi pata hai!", Maan blurted. 'Main ek jhoot bola! Dosti ke liye kya kya karna padta hai!', Maan winced internally. "Arnav ko bhi nahi pata hai, toh dono ko bata dete hain!", Geet said excitedly. "Nahi!, Maan almost shouted and continued when Geet glared at him, "Dekho Geet! Abhi sagaai mein kuch din hi baaki hain toh bahut jald dono ko yeh pata chal jaayega! Toh dono ko tabhi pata chalne do! Socho! Kitna surprise ho jaayenge dono yeh dekhkar ki woh ek doosre ke rishtedaar hain! Ek pleasant shock hoga nahi?", Maan pleaded his case. 'Arnav mujhe maar daalega agar maine uski pol Khushi ke saamne khulne di toh!' Maan thought. Geet thought for a while and smiled happily, "Haan! Kitna achcha surprise hoga nahi? Sagaai mein toh bahut mazaa aayega!" Geet giggled and happily walked off to her room while Maan heaved a sigh of relief. 'Ab Arnav ko yeh sab bataana hoga!' Maan thought and called Arnav. Soon Arnav was on line and briefed about the situation, "Don't worry Maan! Everything will be fine. Sab kuch plan ke hisaab se chal raha hai! Aur Soniji ko jo tumne jawaab woh bhi mere plan ke saath match karta hai!", Arnav spoke after Maan's briefing. Maan smirked as he realized the basic of Arnav's plan. "Tumhaara plan mujhe kuch kuch samaj aa raha hai!", Maan mumbled with a smirk. "Poora plan main detail mein sagaai se pehle tumhein bata doonga!", Arnav replied. But Maan was worried, "I hope you are not going to hurt Khushi during your plan execution!", Maan said. "Don't worry Maan! Aisa kuch nahi hoga! Khushi's heart is safe with me!", Arnav replied and Maan could imagine him smirking. Maan rolled his eyes, "But be careful! Agar Khushi ko tumne hurt kiya toh I will sic Dadima, Naani, Annie and Anjali and rest of our families on you!", Maan smirked as he heard Arnav gulp at the thought of Anjali, Naani, Dadima, Annie and rest of the family's wrath. Maan kept on smiling even after he kept the phone away.
