In a Veer-Zaara mood and I was listening to the songs and I think the songs portray some of the situations and/or feelings of Aarya.
The song, Main Yahaan Hoon is for when Zaara/Aarti had fallen for Veer/Yash and they had just realized it and they also noticed that they could not be with them due to marriage for Zaara and Arpita for Aarti.

The song, Tum pas aa rahe ho is for when Veer/Yash had started to fall for Zaara/Aarti and eventually they were crazy for them.

The song, Do pal is used when Veer and Zaara had to separate for each other (I think, correct me if I am wrong).
I think in Aarya's situation it can be used for how Yash's and Aarti's dreams and hopes and future is ruined by the Python truth an their sufferation and pain is somehow conveyed through this(To me).

The song Tere Liye was used when Veer and Zaara became Veer-Zaara(reunited after Veer was released). I think it describes how Aarya will obviously reunite after Python truth.
