Arnav took his seat and started driving. He still couldn't believe that Khushi had the audacity to drag him out of his office for lunch. And the biggest shock was that he didn't feel angry or offended with this act of hers. Soon they reached the restaurant. Khushi had deliberately chosen an Italian restaurant as it was Arnav's favorite. They were escorted to a corner table for two near the window.

The restaurant was a nice place. The interiors were such that the customers could have their privacy. Every table was set up in small cabins and the partitions were such that the cabins felt like small train compartments. The design was plain and classy. Arnav never expected that Khushi would ever know about such a place. He liked the surroundings & the comfortable yet private set up.

Arnav (taking in the surroundings): Tum iss jagah k baare mein kaise janti ho??

Khushi (non-chalantly): Hum kuch din pehle yahan Chhutki k saath aaye the.

Well!! That explained the choice.

Arnav (looking in her eyes sincerely): It's a nice place.

Khushi: I know. Even I loved this place when I came here & it's sort of my favorite.

Arnav: But u didn't like Italian.

Khushi (without realizing): But u do.

Arnav just stared at her. Did she actually say that?? He was not sure. And if he was dreaming, then he didn't want to wake up. Khushi had just stated that she loved Italian because it was his favorite. Could that mean…?? No no. It can't b that easy. But she did say that, didn't she?? Then why??

Arnav: Khushi tum…

Khushi (cutting him mid sentence): Kuch order karein?? Hume bohat bhukh lag rahi hai.

Khushi didn't realize what she had said when she spoke but when she did, she knew that she had spoken too much. She had not intended to say it out loud. The reason was just in her mind and she just blurted it out without thinking of the consequences when Arnav asked her out of the blue.

They placed their order and sat silently. Neither of them knew what to say after that little… umm… CONFESSION!! But Arnav was thinking very seriously. He realized that he had just 3 days for now and he didn't want to waste even a single second to woo his wife back.

Arnav: Khushi!!

Khushi just looked up from the table cloth design which seemed to b the most interesting thing right now.

Arnav: Umm… Wo… Tumhare liye kuch… I mean…

The words failed as usual. Arnav was no good at words. And being romantic is just not his cup of tea. So he just took out the wrapped box from his pocket and kept it in front of her. She couldn't understand the reason for this gift.

Khushi: Arnav ji ye kya hai??

Arnav: Khol k dekh lo.

Khushi opened the gift to find a beautiful bracelet with designed and adorned in butterfly design. It was the first gift which Arnav had given her willingly after their wedding. She was speechless at such a gesture.

Arnav (looking in her eyes): I know k tumhe expensive gifts pasand nai hain. Its just that when I was in London & was out to get gifts for everyone at home, mujhe ye dekh kar tumhara dhyan aaya. Buaji waise b tumhe yehi kehti hain, Titli. Bas maine tbi ye le lia. I don't know if u like it or not but its something that I felt is meant for u only. Tum chaho toh isse rakh lo ya fir re-gift kar do, but for me, it belongs to u.

Khushi took out the bracelet and wore it in front of him to show him that she had indeed accepted his gift.

Arnav smiled at that gesture and self thought: I wish I had treated u the way I did in the past. I want to make u believe that I love u Khushi. I want to pamper u the way I would have done if that Shyam fiasco had not happened. I hope u will b able to forgive me for the past & give me a chance to do so. I won't let u go. I'll win u back soon. And this time, i WILL trust u and prioritize u over everything and everybody.

Their food arrived and they started eating.

Khushi: Pata hai Arnav ji, Chhutki ko b aapki tarah Italian bohat pasand hai. Pata nai Indian khaane se kyu sab itna bhagte hain.

Arnav (laughing): Wo b Indian khana nai khati??

Khushi: Kha leti hai. (making faces) Bas kha hi leti hai, lekin bohat shonk se nai khati. Zabardasti wala kaam hai. Or Italian chahe sara din de do. Usse nai bore hoti.

Arnav: Fir toh meri usse khaane k regarding achhi pategi.

Khushi frowned at his comment but did not say anything.

Arnav: Waise or kya kya badal gaya hai??

Khushi (confused): Matlab??

Arnav: Matlab k English, driving, designing, or kya kya naya add hua??

Khushi: Well!! Public dealing, dressing sense, event management courtesy Lavanya ji kyuki Mehtas k events wohi handle karti hain, cooking mein kafi kuch add ho gaya hai. Or… Yaad nai. Jab yaad aayega toh bata denge.

Arnav (raising an eyebrow): Dressing sense??

Khushi: Aapke saamne nai. (shrugging) Actually it's a bit awkward to come in front of u all with a makeover as u have never seen me in any other type of outfits, u know.

Arnav: But u shouldn't bother about that. N m sure the change is definitely positive. Tum office main pehen sakti ho. Even RM mein b. There won't b any issues.

Khushi: Lekin Naniji or Mamiji…

Arnav: Don't worry about them. Waise b hum dost hain na. Tumhe awkward feel karne ki koi zarurat nai hai. Wear whatever u feel comfortable in.

Khushi (after giving it a thought): Fine Arnav ji. We'll see.

Arnav: Waise tum mujhe Arnav JI kyu bulati ho??

Khushi: (as if explaining to a kid) Kyuki wo aapka naam hai.

Arnav: Mera naam Arnav JI nai, sirf Arnav hai.

Khushi: Lekin aap humare…

Arnav: Dost hu. Rishi Sonam ka dost hai or Sonam usse Rish bulati hai. Toh mai Arnav JI kyu??

Khushi: Lein Arnav ji…

Arnav: Arnav!!

Khushi: Kya??

Arnav: Arnav JI nai, sirf Arnav. (with finality) Or agar next time tumne mere naam k saath JI lagaya toh mai b tumhe Khushi JI bulana shuru kar dunga.

Khushi (smiling): Acha theek hai Arnav JI… Matlab ARNAV. Hum koshish karenge. LEkin thoda time lagega. Ab ek din mein toh aadat nai badalne wali na.

Arnav: Fine. Ab chalein?? Ya kuch or order karna hai abi??

Khushi: Chaliye. Bas raste mein jalebi le lenge.

Arnav (shoking his head): Tum or tumhari jalebi.

Khushi giggled and they started moving out towards their car.
