What was the point of the six month leap?

Really, we're back to square one. Ovi screaming and suspecting Arjun and Purvi. Arjun can't say a word. Purvi also can't say a word. What was the point of it all? They should have just separated Ovi and Arjun. Becoming repetitive now.

I think if purvi had not left then her pregnancy would have come out and then maybe she would have decided not to have to save ovi arjun marriage but now its too late to do anything she will probably have they baby and who the father is the bigger question.
