Behind the Mask

'Dude you won't believe who I just saw' Vicky screamed through the phone in horror

'Vicky if you saw a ghost then I will personally come and bash you up, do you even know what the hell is the time' said the sleepy Swaym

'Swaym tu baat tou sun' said Vicky helplessly not knowing how to break it out to him, 'tere neend udd jaayegi'

'Vicky wo tou tune udda hi di, ab bol kya bolna tha' said Swaym irritated

'Acha mai bolu tou balatkar aur Sharon bole tou chamatkar' said Vicky pissed with Swaym's attitude

'Sharon, wo kaha se aayi' said Swaym

'Wo aayi, wo tou kabse aayi hui thi isliye tou tu aisa hogaya, raat bhar usse baat karte koi problem nahi aur doste se ek sec bhi baat nahi kar sakta' Vicky said crying emotionally

'Hogaya tera,' sighed Swaym, ' ab tu batayega tune kisliye meri neend kharab ki'

'Oh rite, kisliye phone kiya, tou sun.You wont believe who I jus saw' said Vicky again

'Tu batayega tou believe nahi karunga na' said Swaym sleepily

'I jus saw Kriya dude' Vicky said bringing back his horror voice

'You WHAT,' screamed Swaym when he was about to yawn, 'Dude tu...tujhe pata hai tu kya keh raha hai'

'Yes Swaym I jus saw her,'

'Kaha'

'Tu address likh, I'm staying here, tu ek kaam kar kal aaja yaha,' he said.

Rey slided open the side of the wardrobe which he kept closed for almost a year with the things that reminded him of her, the jackets the mask the scarf the pictures, everything was still stored in there untouched, he looked through the jackets he stopped wearing as it strongly reminded him of those moments he had with her till today

The pink one when he touched her the first time and he knew there was something much more special between them, the lavendar one when he saw her grooving for the first time in St.Louis leaving everyone at awe, the purple one the special night he had with her the night they began their friendship yet had their first misunderstanding, the jacket he made her wear, the black one in which he took her in his arms for the first time as she was frightened like a kid and he held her tightly in the old corridor

And last but not the least the white one, the white which had too many memories, memories of his pure innocent love, the first time they met, the time when she slapped him misunderstanding him, the first time they danced though at that time he took out all his anger on her through the dance, the time he held her in the lift fantasizing of holding her close to him

He looked at his white jackets and thought white definitely had a significant in their so called fake love story, he went back in flashback of the day she confessed her feelings to him, coming back to reality with his eyes numb, but before they could shed any tears he shut the door of the wardrobe

'No Rey you promised, no going back, you moved on,' he told himself and took a deep breath and took out his white jacket

He couldn't do this anymore he thought, he couldn't sit back storing those things and running away from them, he should better start it off like this, he wore the white jacket and looked himself at the mirror

'Yes, Reyansh is back...the Reyansh Singhania,' he winked at his reflection with that cute bright smile which would flock thousand girls on to him.

'Hello, Swaym kaha hai tu, tune jo address diya I followed that but something is wrong, I cant see any hotel,' Rey spoke looking around the dark lonely night around him

'arey yaar maine bola tha na you have to keep going straight for a long time,' shouted Swaym through the booming music of the party

'aur kitna straight jau,' he said irritated and starting his car

'Just keep going you will get to see the hotel in sometime, jaldi aa ok byee' and he cut the call before Rey could say anything else

'Ajeeb hai itne dhoor party karne ki kya zaroorat hai,' Rey wondered to himself

Finally she finished up with her hairstyle, her hair warm dark chocolate straightenened from the top with beautiful curls banging on her shoulder and her back, the step cut bangs settling on her face making it brighter and sweeter, her face not goaded with much make-up a bit of concealer and dark kohl eyes and her pearly cute pink lip-gloss.

The stylist looked at her in awe,

'I think this is just perfect for today, behind the mask those dark beautiful big eyes will flat anyone out there and you better get that lip gloss get smudged,' she winked at her, ' they say christmas is quite lucky day to get love'

She smiled at her stylist and rolled her big eyes.

'I think you are mistaking with Valentine's Day, and anyways,' she went on before her stylist could open her mouth, 'that's what some people like you believe not me,' she said sweetly, 'anyways this is a favor for my friend so I'm here.'

'Rock the floor gal' her stylist said

She got up from her chair after like 2 hrs of the hairdo and make-up and headed out to the noise and the party.

She shifted the red curtains to find two men standing with trays of masks, she looked at those mask flashing back to that day, the day she met him, no no it cant be, she cant think of him, she didn't realize earlier but the masks brought back everything to her making her eyes numb but she gulped down her pain, took a deep breathe and picked the one that came first in her hand and wore it

It had a goldenish glint to it and the eye holes were beaded with small black beads enhancing her deep dark kohled eyes, the end of the mask was beaded up with big black shimmering sequins, on one side of the mask was a greyish black flower with white grey feathers sticking up and beads of grey black chains falling down

She checked her reflection on the large mirror hanging on the wall of the party hall, the mask was qutie pretty afterall and matched with her white and gold beautiful cocktail dress, with strapless sweetheart neckline and a ruched delicately pleated silk chiffon draped snow white bodice ending sleakly at the waist where a long black silk ribbon tied up in a bow on the side, starting the beautiful pleats at the waist, white sheer tulle draped in frock style with lots of dull gold and clear sequins and white pearls designed till the lower end

Surely eyes turned at the white beauty that made her entry to the most happening christmas party of the town, girls envied while guys drooled as she made her way through the dancing party across to her friend who stood there awing at her

'Wow, like wow Kriya you just look so gorgeous' Abhay exclaimed hugging her

'Tumhe kaise pata chala mai hoon' asked Kriya

'haha come on, bachpan se jhanta hoon tumhe' he said

'Thanks, but its really awkward you know,' Kriya said, 'and its just for you one last favor'

'Yes Yes and thank you so much for it, you know na you are my best party entertainer and you are actually saving me from my dad, just look at the amount of people its gone crazy from your last performance' Abhay said

'Yeah yeah pata hai, your emotional dramas' said Kriya, 'chalo I'll go get a drink before the performance' and she walks off to the drink bar.

Swaym and Vicky behind the mask searched around through the crowd.

'Vicky how do you expect to find her in this hoards of masks' said Swaym irritatedly

'I know man, ye tou socha hi nahi, Christmas party hai aur hum sab santa claus ban ke ghum rahe hai, ab kisko pata real santa kaun hai' said Vicky eying every girl on the floor

'Santa- what, ye santa kaha se aaya ab' asked Swaym astounded

'Arey Santa hi tou hai wo, humare Rey ki Miss Santa' said Vicky trying to be funny

'Not funny dude, tune sab ko address sahi se diya ya mere tarah unn logo ko bhi ghuma raha hai' asked Swaym

'Haan haan diya don't worry teri Sharon puhoch jaayegi' he teased Swaym

'Babuuu' came Neha's shrieking voice and Vicky was knocked down by a flying Neha, 'what happening place choosing my Babbu'

'Anything for you my kaagu' Vicky said mesmerised by her beauty

'More like anything for Rey' said Swaym more to himself but Sharon gets a whiff of something fishy since Swyam has totally ignored her arrival, she asks him what's wrong, Swaym tries to hide but ofcourse since its Sharon he let it out to all of them that Vicky spotted Kriya yesterday in the same hotel doing a dance performance, when he asked people about her he found out she was just helping out her friend who is the owner here, since the real performers ditched their performance for yesterday and today and that's why they planned this all to get Rey here to meet Kriya.

'But guys do you think Rey will be fine finding Kriya here, and do you think Kriya will be happy to see us all' said an unsure Sharon

'Why not Kriya be happy, OMG mei tou super-happy babbuu, thanku babuu for finding Kriya' said an excited Neha and hugged Vicky

'Oye usne tere liye nahi Rey ke liye find kiya hai' said Vish irritated with their too sweet love

'Sharon you have a point but as both Rey and Kriya's friends we cant sit back' said Swaym

'Exactly lets find Kriya, and make her meet Rey' said Nil all ready for action

'yeah but what if problems get worse' asked Simmi who agreed with Shaorn a lot

'Well jo bhi problems hoga wo dono ek saath solve karenge, we will just make them meet na,' said suddenly the not-very intelligent Rinni and everyone stared at her in shock

'What,' she asked looking at everyone's expressions

'Rinni tu kabhi kabhi intelligent baat bhi bolti hai' said Nil and got hit by Rinni

'So then lets start our mission Kriya-' said Swaym putting his hand forth as everyone kept one by one

'and Rey' everyone ended together.

The 5 couples move to the dance floor grooving to the music and start their search of Kriya too, while Rey enters the party hall.

He looks at the masquerades held out for him, he wished to reject but since everyone were behind the mask he had no option left but to take it, he took a classic looking white mask with black beaded border and tied it up, searching for his phone to call up his friends but seeing their actions it wasn't so hard to spot them.

He spotted Vicky running around with Neha nearby and it seemed more like they were searching for someone rather than searching for space to be alone.

'Vicky' Rey patted at his back as Vicky did a high shock jump along with Neha

'Kya hua mai hoon Rey' said Rey surprised

'Arey wohi tou matter hai' said Neha breathing in and out

'Huh' said Rey confused

'Huh nahi...Rey tu aagayaaa,' said Vicky trying to scream out his name

'Haan tou tere saamne hi tou hoon aur tu chillla kyun raha hai'

'Arey wo...he means REY YOU CAME,' said Neha much more louder then Vicky as Rey looked at her beweildered, 'Tou ab Party will begin for us'

'Haan ye hi kehna chah raha tha mei' said Vicky sighing a relief

'You guys are too weird today' said Rey and left the two before his head would crack and headed for the bar to get something to drink.

He sat on the stool without realizing his hand on someone else's.

'Excuse me,' she said in the husky curt voice behind the white-gold mask, suddenly a cold jeff of wind hit on the pit of his stomach, that voice, it seemed familiar but why, he stared at the white mask beauty in front of his eyes, sitting legs crossed beneath the beauitful white-gold sequinsed dress, her legs long and sleak just as the white long heels she wore.

She plunged out her hand from beneath his which brought Rey back to his senses, what was wrong with him suddenly.

'What are you trying to do, dekho tum jeso ko mai ache tarah se jhanti hoon,' she called off.

'Excuse me mujh jeso ko...maine kiya hi kya' said Rey defensively, but for a nano second everything seemed to dissolve around them, their voices hit each other straight through their heart, but it couldn't be Kriya thought, he wouldn't come here, it couldn't be Rey thought, she couldn't be here.

'Oh so what was that a while back, look ye ek shareef hotel hai aur yaha par shareef log sirf party karne aate hai so don't you dare try those dirty tricks' she said in an icy tone

'Dirty tricks woaah, who are you woman aur you cant accuse me like that it was just a mistake and I'm sorry' said Rey unbelievable at where this woman was going to.

'Ofcourse mistake why not, ab kahoge mai rai ka pahar bana rahi hoon-' she went on

'Rai ka what-' asked Rey innocently

'Oh yess, Anghrez ke aulad, mai mount everest bana rahi hoon chote se issue ka'

'Yeah totally' said Rey as a matter-of-factly

'Fir aap kahoge choti se galti thi, I'm sorry, aur mai kahungi theek hai fir aap bologe waise aap ka naam kya hai aur fir mai kahungi nahi batana fir aap kahenge ab jab yaha mil hi gaye lets have a drink or lets go for a dance but mind you mai kahungi no way and Get Lost' Kriya went on and on non-stop'

'Enough Stopp' said Rey not able to take anymore and holding her arms and shaking her.

'Hawww dekha maine kaha tha na,' looking over at his hands on her arms, 'ajeeb ho aap seedha touch karne mai puhoch gaye' said Kriya shocked and threw his hands over from her's

'Listen I don't have any such intentions wo tou tum non-stop bolti rehti ho' said Rey irritated

'Mai, mai non-stop bolti hoon, samajhte kya ho aap apne aap ko, how dare you talk like that' she charged over him

'Uff u r such a baatcutter' shouted Rey

Kriya stopped and so did Rey both looked fiercely at each other through the masks, Kriya thought she miss-heard what he said through the dance numbers being played, Rey couldn't believe what he just said now, but everything was so blinded then as there was a havoc going on in the party itself.

'Arey meri Jhansi ki Rani, tum yaha jhagad rahi ho and waha bhi hungama ho raha hai, plzz kuch karo warna mera party gaya' Abhay came running to Kriya pleading her

Kriya's attention shifted to the fight in the middle of the dance floor and she knew she had to stop it right away and bring back the party mood, she vanished behind the red velvet draped curtains.

'Excuse me,' Rey called out to Abhay, 'what's happening there' he asked pointing towards a fight scene being created

'Kya batau, koi ladka hai ke saare ladkiyon ko mask ke niche check out kar raha hai, tou ab fight tou hona hi tha, and now no one can stop them also' he shook his head in despair.

Rey tried to catch a look of the guy on the other end of the screaming, 'OH SHITT' he said recognising Vicky, ofcourse who could do such a blunder.

He walked over through the crowd to Vicky, 'Vicky kya kar raha hai tu, Neha kaha gayi,'

'Rey, Rey dekh na kaise ilzaam laga rahe hai tere bhai par' cried Vicky hugging Rey as the man went on and on screaming

'Babu no fear when Neha is here' said Neha and started fighting verbally with the guy herself.

'Neha yaha hai tou tu kisse dhund raha tha' asked Rey

'Wo wo mai mai-' thought Vicky

'Sharon ko,' said Swaym coming behind Vicky

'Haan Sharon ko, Swaym ke liye dhund raha tha' said Vicky

'Mujhe, mai tou pura tym Swaym ke saath thi' suddenly Sharon came from behind confused

'Simmi ko ya Rinni ko' said Vicky to justify and rather confused himself

'Kya bol raha hai' said Rey irritated but right then all the voices and the fights were drowned with the loud booming soundboxes (Disco Deewane song plays)

The music started off with the dancers moving in from behind the red velvet curtains, lastly making her entry the white gorgeously dressed masked girl grooving through the stage pulling people from the crowd to join her, as Rey's mouth hanged open seeing the Miss Jhansi ki Rani shake a leg.

'Its her its her,' said Vicky excitedly on Swaym's ears through the loud music

'Dude are you sure' Swaym said trying to figure out Kriya

'Yeah dude look at her style she's the one, you should know better'

'Now that you say I think you are right it is her,'

'Tou chale'

'Mission KriYaansh'

And both jump up on two side of Kriya

Kriya was shocked with the masked guys dancing with her but they seemed to be really good dancers and she was quite enjoying dancing with them, just reminded her of those days...

Why why today of all days, she thought, she was being taken back to those days, why was it happening so much.

The whole dance floor was rocking to disco deewane, all others joined Swaym Kriya and Vicky and they all went on dancing along having a fun time, while many watched them all in awe, Rey reluctantly joined in as he was pulled in by Sharon and Nil.

It was a different kind of magic spread on the dance floor with 12 passionate dancers

They finally succeeded to bring Kriya close to Rey, without knowing the face behind the mask and the dark dosco lights on they both danced along, but it was difficult to keep them stuck together as Sharon Simmi Rinni came in between, Swaym signaled the others to take the girls away from Rey as the last bit of the song came

Nasheeli ye raat wo haatho mei haath

He took hold of Kriya's hands twirlin her hard and planning a perfect landing of her in Rey's arms, as he left his hands suddenly and she was in the midst of twirling, Swaym took hold of Sharon's hand and pulled her away from Rey giving space to Kriya and BOOM

Ishq Wala Love'

She crashed into his arms suddenly and caught hold as she was scared, he held onto her tightly as she came suddenly like a lightning thunder striking

She looked up from the comfort chest to his broad well built face half covered by the mask

He stared right through those big eyes, those eyes which he has yearned to look at for one year, those eyes that he suddenly met and fell in love with at the first sight, those eyes that flared big when they were in anger or flared big with fear when he would come closer to her, the soft innocence in the eyes that he fell in love with

Every bit of memory dawned on them from the first time to the last time, but why was this all happening

Vicky shifted behind Kriya slowly dancing and quickly pulled the strings of her mask revealing her face to Rey,

Rey looked at her shocked, surprised, happy, angry, every feeling in the world dawning in his heart, he still held her he couldn't let go, seeing her face he wished to move closer but something stopped him and something made him take a step back, he removed his hands and uncovered his mask.

She took a step back, she knew in her heart a moment ago that it was him, but to see his face she felt her world shake, happiness spreaded through her heart doing the jumping jacks again yet a guilt arose in her, a fear of nothing but animosity from the other side is what she will receive,

Kriya took more steps back and finally made a run from the dance floor, everyone stared after her, Rey bent to pick the mask, yet again he held the mask, the mask she left, thinking about everything that happened between them, thinking about the last venomous words she spoke to him, a tear screamed out from his eyes

He got up, everyone asked Rey if he was okay, but he answered to none and made his way out, this is something he should have done a year ago but he couldn't and tonight he will make sure of everything, everything he had to go through and finish the whole chapter.

All others ran out behind Rey as he stormed out of the party behind Kriya, Rey saw Kriya disappearing at the end of the corridor and ran to her.

Tears flowed out of her eyes non-stop as she tried running away from the past, she couldn't even run her legs felt heavy as if she was stoned, she cant go back, she tried so hard this one year to get over it all and now just a mere coincidental meet could not take her back, she entered the lift and pressed the button to the ground floor and closed the doors

Just then Rey turned to the end of the corridor to see the lift doors closing, he took the stairway to go down, meanwhile Kriya alone in the lift cried her eyes out

'Universe-ji aap itne unfair kyun ho rahe ho ab, pichle saal jab maine aap ko kaha sab kuch theek karneko tou aap ne mujhe yehi raasta dikhaya ke mei wo sab kuch chod ke aajau, maani na maine aapki baat, haan theek mom ka promise pura nahi rakha but you know na Universe-ji how much I love dance and I just cant stay away from dance, Rey se dhoor reh ne ke liye usse bhulne ke liye dance was the only thing to take over, ab aap ne wapas usse bhej diya, Mom ko pata chalega tou shayad wo mujhe firse kahi dhoor leke jaayegi' she sobbed and went on as she didn't take notice of the lift opening behind her, 'kyun Universe-ji why is it only with me?' she cried hiding her face in her palms.

He looked at her for a sec his heart melted at what he saw, he wanted to hold her hug her and comfort her 'It was going to be alright' but no today he had to vent out every single question in his heart and not leave until he doesn't get the answers of it,

He closed the doors and pressed the red 'STOP' button which shook the elevator a bit and brought Kriya back to reality, she looked up to see her fear standing in front of her she moved back looking around realizing it was just the two of them and no one else, the lift had been stopped the emergency dim lights were on and she looked shocked seeing his hand moving away from the stop button.

'Kya ho raha hai andhar' said Vicky switching on to his dirty mind track

'Jis tarah Rey aag ka gola hoke going, i wonder what happening to my Kriya' whined Neha

'Matlab andhar ka temperature Hot' said Nil and both Vicky and Nil started their stupid giggles

'Guys shut up yaar, Rey ne lift bhand kar diya' said Swaym trying to press the lift button

'WHAATT' all of them said together

'Yes its not working'

'Oh no iska meaning if log coming out to use lift and not getting lift, fir-' said Neha

'Fir mechanic coming in and Rey and Kriya coming out' said Bharat

'I have an idea, yaha 5 floors hai rite' said Sharon

'haan' all echoed together

'so why not har floor mei we will guard the lifts and avoid people from using the lift, isse Rey aur Kriya ko sab kuch sort out karne ka time bhi mil jaayega' said Sharon

'Right Sharon and people will get to do some good exercise taking the staircase' said Rinni very importantly

'SHUT-UP Rinni' all screamed together

All of them moved out to each floor guarding the lifts and making people take the staircase instead

'Rey aap ne wo' bhand kyun'' said Kriya who was a bit out of breathe

Rey walked towards her in slow steps as she stepped back but hit the back of the lift, she tried to move away from him and looked away from his blazing gaze, but Rey in time held her arms and banged her to the wall of the lift, a fear arose in her innocent eyes as she looked at Rey's anger filled eyes, the eyes of betrayal and pain which she caused,

'Kyun Kriya, why did you that' asked Rey fiercely

'Maine..kya'kiya' spoke a fearful Kriya

Rey smiled sarcastically, 'kya kiya, you are asking kya kiya, wow Kriya Ghai wow, you really have to get an award, best actress or best story-maker,' he held her tightly as he emphazized on the last words

'Rey aap mujhe hurt kar rahe ho' said Kriya wincing

'Really this is hurt Kriya, ye dard hai tou wo kya tha which you did with me' he shouted, 'what was that you played with me, wo sab kuch everything was a lie'

'Rey...pls...' as tears flowed out again as it was too painful to look into his hurtful eyes, she knew what he was going through right now was all her fault but she just couldn't bear to see him like this anymore

'And then you leave, just like that you leave,' he screamed banging on the walls beside her, 'no explanation no nothing, tumhe ye laga tha na everything was a play for me, you always thought that Kriya, that my love was a damn PLAY'

'Nahi Rey..it wasn't like that' Kriya cried out

'Then what was it Kriya, what was it, kyun letter kyun, why didn't you explain it all to me, kyun tumne mera dil thoda, why did you insult my love like that, why did you not write to me explaining your problems, why was it to Swaym, why did you have to play such a disgusting game' Rey unable to take it tears flowed out of his painful eyes

'Rey mai wo...' Kriya looked at his eyes and her toungue tied of what to say, she realized today of how much pain she caused him

'Ya fir is it true you really have true feelings for only Swaym,' he said moving closer to her his eyes afixed on hers, his eyes blazed with fury now, 'come on tell me, was that the reason, that's why you wrote him the letter, was that the Reason Kriya' he banged on the walls again

'No Rey...Stop it Rey... pls stop it'' she creid and pleaded not able to take anymore, her heart cried so much seeing the pain she caused him, she could not keep herself up anymore and slided down, 'I'm Sorry Rey, I'm soo Sorry' she said through her sobbed voice

Rey cried more then he did when she broke her heart, he yearned for her so long and today he wanted to hold on to her, to make her stop crying but his anger and pain overtook him, he bent down to Kria

'Why Kria, kyun tumhe thoda sa bhi trust nahi tha, mere pyaar mei nahi tou humare friendship mei bhi nahi?' he said as tears flushed out, 'kya mai tumhara dost nahi tha, wouldn't I have understood you, couldn't you have that much of trust in me'

She caught up herself and held his hands clubbing them in hers, 'I did Rey, I did trust you with all my heart, not only as a friend but as a-' she stopped, looked away and continued, 'But eventually I knew that I would hurt you in anyway, I didn't want you to wait for me, I didn't want you to come looking out for me, I wanted you to forget me, because where your life belonged, I did not belong there anymore, isiliye I decided ke it would be better to hurt you so much that you wouldn't look back,' she ended the words in whisper as she cried again, 'I'm sorry Rey, I'm really very sorry'

Rey couldn't hold back his feelings anymore, he lost the courage to flame out at her anymore, he moved his hands from her's and caught hold of her face and moved back the hair that fell on her face, he wiped away the tears she cried, and held her face towards him

'Look at me Kriya, pls for one last time,' Kriya stayed still as he said one last time, 'What do I mean to you Kriya?'

Kriya looked questiningly through her wet eyes to his fixed firm gaze, the eyes no more holding any flames

'What do I mean to you Kriya, what do I mean to you in your heart?' he asked again innocently

No she wont hold back now she couldn't, his touch which comforted and eased her heart, tapped danced inside her, she had to let it out today or never, she did a mistake once she wont do it again, his eyes searched hers impateint for an answer, was this right she didn't know but maybe today Universe-ji brought this situation for a reason and the reason is right in front of her

'Rey, you mean everything to me, everything,' she cried and smiled and looked at him who was still in mere shock of what she said, he had questioning look and she nodded shyly, he began to smile and finally smiled big not believing this was happening again and this time there was so much of a certain feeling, Kriya smiled and laughed through her tears as she saw his smile again, the smile she awaited to see so much this one year

'Everything,' Rey whispered as Kria nodded

Yet again she amazed him, few words she said but it striked big in his heart, for what felt like an hour they sat there staring at each other smiling and laughing not knowing who should go on first, Rey took the first step

'Kriya tumne jo kaha wo...are you-'

'Sure?' she completed for him, she nodded, 'Rey I'm sorry maine aap ko bohot hurt kiya, but I just wanted you to move on in life without me I just wanted to make it easy for you to move on'

He watched her innocence speak out and pulled her to a tight embrace, 'its okay Kriya you don't need to say sorry,lets... lets just forget it'

'I cant Rey, I really cant I hurt you a lot I'm really sorry but the truth is'' she trailed off

'What' Rey asked

'I love you Rey,' she whispered in his ears and hid her face in his arms and hugged him back tightly

Rey felt thousand instruments ring on his ears and a cold gushing wind hit the pit of his stomach yet again as his heart screamed out with joy, the heart beats rising faster with every sec, he moved back to look at her, her head down her hair messed up yet the curls still living on, her face blushed crimson red, her lips with the hotness of the face turned a deeper shade of pink, her dark kohl a bit smudged but her eyes glistening with happiness

'Kriya...you what...' managed to say the Rey lost in his dreamland

'Jo aapne suna,' she said and got up without eye contact and smiled mischieviously and moved away from him, but he was too quick to catch her and pull her back again this time thoda pyaar se and pinning her against the lift walls, she looked at his eyes for a second which yearned to hear those words again and she immediately shifted her gaze down, he moved closer and closer and shifted her hair behind her ears and whispered

'Firse kaho' said Rey and his breathe hit her like a jolt as if she was in a spell, her hands uncontrollable moved to his face and half way thru his soft hair, she moved towards his ears

'I love you Rey, I love you so much' she breathed out in his ears

Rey wanted to jump jump so high, he picked her up and twirled in the lifeless lift, 'I love you too Kriya' he screamed out in the silence

He put her down and stared at her gleaming face in the dimness, he knew it had to be then, she also knew it had to be then but her chest heaved heavily as he moved closer, his one hand held on to her other hand binding together, he moved his other hand to her face holding it, he moved closer as she closed her eyes, it was a spark of 1000 watts in their body as their lips met caressing at first and then passioantely holding onto each other, her hand slided through his hair as she held on to him, her back rested on the wall of the lift as she felt her legs drained off, everything around them dissolved, it was just them Kriya and Rey binded in their love

The most awkward moment between new couples most of the time is after their first kiss, Kriya and Rey have been going through pretty much the same, it was as if a thudner stroke them, they stood wide apart from each other at two ends of the lift looking everywhere but at each other

Rey finally decided to break out the deadly silence between them, 'So how do we get out any idea?' he asked innocently

Kriya who has been running it through her head the question he just asked flared up at him instantly, 'IDEA, Rey kisne kaha tha aapko to push the Stop button, we are STUCK, jab tak koi nahi aatha we cannot get out'

'haan tou tum chilla kyun rahi ho waise bhi sirf mai hi tou hoon yaha pe,'

'chilla nahi rhai hoon echo ho raha hai aur waise bhi chillau nahi tou kya karu, STOP dabadiya, ye bhi nahi socha ke baad mei kaise niklenge'

'Haan tou kaise sochta, tab mera mood-'

'Angry young man tha, uff, yehi tou problem hai kuch sochte nahi ho jab sochna padta hai aur tab sochte ho jab dhere ho jhaathi hai, gusse mei Stop dabadiya ye bhi nahi socha ke gussa khatam hoga tou niklunga kaise, Universe-ji mujhe lift mai nahi marna' she pleaded

'Jhansi ki rani shhh,' Rey said putting finger on her lips and what he wanted to say further he just lost it as he stared at her dreamy eyes again

'Rey,' Kriya called out, ' kuch karoo mujhe nikal na hai yaha se ghar nahi basana'

'Haan tou mujhe kaunsa ghar basana hai,' he said moving to the lift doors, 'ek tou iska phone bhi dead hai,' he tried to press the calling button and yelled for help

He then finally banged on the doors asking for help hoping someone would be out there.

Outside the lift Vicky pulled Neha closer to him, ' Kaguu'- 'HELPPP KOI HAIII' came out a distant voice in between, Vicky checked his mouth to see where the voice came from

'Babuuu' said Neha and again 'HELPP KAROOO ANYONE' came out the distant voice again and he moved closer to check Neha's mouth which wasn't moving

'Kaun bola re' he said finally confused

'Babuu Rey bola' she said pointing at the lift doors

'Rey? Arey Rey rey mere BHAIII, tu zinda hai,' screamed out Vicky

'What question you asking Babu, Rey ne khud lift Stop doing in angry avatar fir kyun wo marring,' she said matter-of-factly and screamed out, ' Rey Kriya theek tou hai na'

'Vicky, Neha, help hum log phas gaye' Rey shouted back

'Phas gaya'Kaha' asked Vicky

'Abhe gahde lift ke andhar phas gaye kisiko bulao to get us out' said Rey

'Oh acha wo tou tu khud phasa wo bhi Kriya ke saath' Vicky teased

'Saale tujhe mei bahar aake dekh lunga ab kuch karna'

'Wait wait mei going and calling someone' and Neha runs off

'Waise Rey itne dhere baad kaise realize hua ke tune Stop button dabaya,' teased Rey again

'Akkal ghas chadne gayi thi,' screamed out Kriya

'Arey maine bola na mai gusse mei tha' shot back Rey

'Gusse mei the Brain damage nahi hogaya tha ke ye bhi nahi socha lift bhand kiya tou nahi khulega'

'Tou fir mei kya karta tumhari galti hai, kisne kaha lift mei aake rone ke liye'

'Mei rone ke liye nahi niche jaane ke liye aayi thi'

'Haan tou, mai tumhe tab bolta ke excuse me aap bahar aaye mujhe aapse gusse mei baat karni hai, tou tum sun thi'

'Puchna kyun hai niche jaake bhi baat kar sakte the na'

'Haan tou fir mei niche jaake tumhe bahar keech tha fir tum chilla thi ke mei tumhe kidnap kar raha hoon'

'Ye maine kab kaha'

'Kaha nahi kehti'

'No never'

'Acha tou fir drink bar mei wo natak kya tha'

'Kriya ke Universe-ji, inn dono ka tou ye never-ending hai, arey koi mechanic bulao' cried Vicky being traumatized with their non-stop bickering

Others come over to Vicky and ask about the status inside the lift as the mechanic works through opening the lift, Vicky signals them to see themselves or rather hear it out themselves on the lift doors

All rush to the lift doors only to be shocked to hear out Kriya and Rey's bickerings

'Kya yaar abhi tak lad rahe hai, give me the beat guys' said Nil

'Aley beat nahi, art beat wala ladayi thal rahi hai' said Amar

'Art- what'

'He means heart beat wala ladayi, Kriya aur Rey ka usual pyaar bhare bickerings' said Swaym smiling

Finally the lift switches on which does not yet affect the two inside going on and on arguing suddenly about how Kriya ruthlessly ditched Rey on Valentine's day until when Rey holds his Jhansi ki Rani's waist and pulls her and kisses her right then when the doors open up and they have their friends and the mechanic as their audience watching over them in shock, Kriya and Rey break apart in shock.

Awkward Silence. For a long time.

'He he mai bhi bolu suddenly darwaza khol the hi silence kyun hogaya' said Vicky awkwardly

'Abey kyun ke andar silent movie chal rahi thi' said Nil teasing Rey and Kriya who turned red

'Wo..Mai...wo notice nahi kiya lift on hua,' Rey said awkwardly his head and eyes down like a kid

'Tou baat pakki' asked Swaym, Rey and kriya were about to say something to cover up but all of them stood in front of them hands folded and gave them the looks

Kriya starts blushing and looks away, while Rey smiles to all of them, the rest of the gang cheers and screams and jumps on the lift hugging Kriya and Rey

After a year the whole gang comes together, after a year happiness spreads through their hearts, after a year finally Rey& Kriya are together

The gang moves back to the party hall and as people see them they request the gang to rock the dance floor again,

Everyone bids their goodbyes to Kriya and leave off giving Rey and Kriya some time of their own, they decide to walk on the loneliness of the road

'Rey,' Kriya calls out

'Yeah'

'Wo...actually, mei puchna chati thi...ke ..wo' Kriya hesitated

'Yehi ke ab hum kaise milenge and what will happen of us now' finished Rey for her

She looked at him in awe, yet again he would read everything out of her mind, the connection she shared with him was something that amazed her a lot everytime.

Rey took both of her hands and held them, he bent down on the silent road

'Kriya, I promise never ever to leave you, I promise jo kuch bhi ho, I'll never stop loving you, and if you ever go far away from me, I'll come searching for you no matter what and if I don't find you I'll wait for you,' he said earnestly moving Kriya to happy tears, ' Kriya I know abhi we have tough times ahead of us, but you cant disobey your mom, she in her place was right and she was hurt, let the wound heal up fir you can talk to her, and about us, I cant live without you Kriya, I really cant, isliye I have decided that no matter what every weekend mei tumhe visit karne aaunga, until you convince your mom to let you come back' Rey smiled

'Rey no ways aap itne dhoor har hafte not possible' said Kriya

Rey stands up again, 'Ofcourse possible hai, when you are in love anything is possible, my Love' he winked at her

'Theek hai but jab exams honge tab aap nahi aa sakte and exams includes tests and assignments, and also during holidays bilkul bhi nahi, Mom ko pata chal jaayega,' said Kriya as if assigning someone duties

'Tou fir aau kab,' said Rey astounded

'Jab aap bilkul free ho, first priority studies then me' Kriya said putting her arms around him

'You then studies' teased Rey and they went on arguing holding onto each other

'I promise you Rey, I'll never leave you and I'll come back' Kriya said as they both embraced each other tightly one last time before Rey left that night.
