What should I do? I can't just go up to him and ask him personally. I told him to stay away from me and not to bother me. He is doing just that than why does it bother me so much? She sits on the bed rolling her eyes back and forth as she thinks of a plan. Any plan; even if it is stupid. Babaji what should I do? Maan never gave me that right that I can question him without fearing. Ever since our marriage all he has done is command me and everyone else around him, according to his wishes. Our marriage was one sided, filled with fear and pain. Now, I don't know why but I get angry just thinking about the scene that happened couple of hours ago. How would I even go about doing this?
Geet picks up Anamika as she starts to cry. Geet cradles her in her arms very carefully while she fed her. She smiles at her daughter who held Geet's finger while she suckled for milk. Geet looks out the window trying to gather her thoughts and feelings.
If he cares so much about us than why is he hiding? Why doesn't he come and stay here close to Anamika? Does he not want to spend some time with her as well? "She is only my daughter, Mr. Khruana. Only mine." Geet remembers her harsh words spoken to Maan. Is that why? Tears fall down her eyes. Babaji what kind of predicament you have placed me in? One one side I remember his hatred, his tortures, his inflicted pain given to me and on the other side I am seeing new Maan. His care his love. What should I do?
After Anamika had finished drinking, she puts her in the carriage gently rocking her in the carriage until she fell asleep. She looks toward the outhouse and an idea strikes her. She ruffles through the closet hoping to find anything something to help her in this plan. She smiles victoriously when she found what she needed to find.
She called the nurse to look after Anamika before she headed downstairs. Carefully hiding the item underneath her dupatta she double checked for Dadima and her dad. She sighs in relief when she found neither of them. Quickly, she runs outside the house toward the outhouse mentally slapping herself of her stupid plan but she had no other choice.
Geet stopped just outside of the outhouse. Her heart started to beat fast. Ugh why was she feeling like this? He wasn't even home than why is she so nervous? Slowly, she started taking steps one at a time until she was inside. She sighs as she looks around. It was very clean just like how Maan wants it. Slowly, she proceeds to go upstairs when one of the servants stopped her.
"ma'am is there anything we can help you with?"
"Shit. What will I tell them now?" She turns around with a smile holding the thing up in the air with nervousness.
"I found this shirt in my closet so I thought your sir will miss it. Hence, I decided to drop it back here."
"We can place it back for you ma'am. If Maan sir found out we let you do this on your own he will have us fired"
"Don't you think he will be more mad when he comes to know you went to his room WITHOUT his permission?" (The servants looks at her with fear and slowly started walking away. Geet smiles in victory as she proceeded to go to his room.)
Once inside, she was shocked to see the whole room messy with clothes, toys, unmade bed everything was scattered everywhere. Geet shakes her head and begins cleaning the room. After half hour she smiles seeing the whole room cleaned. She holds the shirt that she found in her closet. Neatly, she places the shirt on the bed standing over it looking at it very carefully.
She than goes to the bathroom and again sighs with the amount of mess he managed to make. "how does he live like this?" Than she becomes sad knowing he has no other option. Sadly, she begins cleaning the bathroom with tears.
She looks at the shirt one more time before making her way out of the room when she stopped in horror. She heard Maan's voice.
Geet looked around for something...where to hide? She heard his footsteps coming up the stairs. "Did the servants tell him that she is still here?" ohh god" She hides behind the bedroom door as he slowly comes in.
