It's not the case of age.Rajat was just 14 when he romanced mugdha in prc and people loved their jodi.
People are not liking this jodi because everybody knows kartikeya-devsena marriage was an arranged one so people are not ready to accept this love story. I am sure if valli enters people may love that jodi,ofcourse that depends on the cvs too on how they develop the love story. As kartikeya is not the hero of this serial they might not give much attention to his stories.

ya rajat-mugdha's case was different ..actually i don't like the girl portraying devsena there's no comparison of her with mugdha..and secondly if dkdm showed devsena indra or vishnu's daughter people may find interest but they showed her apsara which is an insult who worships kartikeya-devsena as god-godess so we r not interested

frankly the Devsena angle is boring and too filmy (not in a nice way), the actor playing devsena dsnt really do a good job frankly...i prefer Vinayak-Kartikeya meet better...
