Talaash made 89 Crores domestically, and that's the revenue/turnover. What was the cost? If the cost was say, 30 Crores, profit would be 59 Crores, and 80% of that would be 47 Crores-ish. If it's worldwide, then sure, definitely he made 50 Crores+ already. But my main point was that the author claimed something without a set figure, that kind of takes the credibility away.. at least for me. He just seems biased. :P

Plus Aamir taking 80% ain't surprising. He co-produced Talaash as well.

"officially" a star's salary is low, but they get paid a lot more backend, I am pretty sure they earn such high amounts, there was even a quote by madhuri saying salman got paid 60 crores. Even back in the Kal Ho Na Ho times SRK officially took 3 crs but his rumored payment was arnd 12!!
