Viren traced her lips with his fingers and bent forward, just then they heard a knock at the door. The immediately pulled apart and turned towards the door. They gulped as the thought of the person standing across the door crossed their mind. They sat glued to to sofa unable move, staring incessantly with round eyes at the door, their hearts pounding rapidly and sweat running down their foreheads.

Who could it be? What if it is Badi Maa? What were they suppose to tell her? How would she respond? May be they could make u some kind of excuse! But what excuse? What if she doesn't believe them?

"Viren what are we supposed to do now?" Jeevika whispered in Viren's ear, bringing him back from his thoughts, "May be we sould just face it and tell her." Jeevika knew this was the best time to manipulate Viren into accepting their relationship or else he might just keep delaying it for her sake. "I think we should do this, trust me." Her eyes glowed with excitement as she held his hand and pulled him toward the closed door.

Viren stood starring at the door, still not sure as to what he should do, when Jeevika waved her hand in front of his eyes and signalled him to open the door. "Trust me."

Viren nodded his head and lifted his cold, trembling hand toward the door knob. He opened the door slightly while Jeevika stood behind the door, carefully noting each of his facial expressions.

Viren slowly lifted his gaze to see the figure in front of him. He let off a sigh of relief and blinked his eyes a couple of times,trying to calm himself down.Tarun!"

"Viren sir, Swamini Ma'am is calling you to the dining room."

"Okay I will be right there." Viren replied as he closed the door behind him.

Jeevika was shocked when she heard Tarun's voice. Luck always favoured Viren. But why?

"Thank god it wasn't Badi Maa!"

"I wish it had been her instead, at least if would have bought an end to this whole drama. You are my husband and I still can't be with you! Viren please put an end to all this. WHY do I have to meet you like thief everytime?"

Viren smiled as he remembered their last meeting in Chandigarh.

*Flashback*

"Viren it is our first Diwali after marriage and I want to spend it with you."

"Same here Jeevika, but I can't come to Mumbai. I have to be with family."

"I know that and of course I won't force you to come to Mumbai."

"Jeevika what is this noise in the background? Where are you."

"I am at a shoot, I will call you later bye. Take care."

"Bye."

The Wadhera House was fully decorated with lights and oil lamps. All the members of the Wadhera household gathered in the hall, hugging and wishing each other a happy Diwali. It was a big today. Swamini had arranged a big Diwali bash. The arrangements for the party were being done by the best event planners in town.

"Is everything done?" Swamini inquired the manager, incharge of the whole event.

"Yes ma'am, everything has been done. I have checked the all the food, decorations, crackers. You don't have to worry about anything."

"I am sure I don't have to."

"Ma'am, the back balcony has not been decorated.It has a door through Mr. Viren's room, as he was not there we were unable to decorate that balcony."

"Oh god! I will tell Viren to open the door right now, you send the decorator right now."

"Yes Ma'am."

Meanwhile Viren was getting ready in his room, he head a knock at the door. He opened the door the manager standing with one of her asssistants.

"Sir we need to.."

"Yes Badi Maa told me about it, you may come in," saying this he once again got engaged in sculpting his hair while the manager instructed the assisstant about the decoration and left.

The assistant busied herself with the work Viren was lost in his thoughts. He missed her. He wanted her. Right now. He wanted to see her. Kiss her. Celebrate Diwali with her. He felt so upset and unhappy, to not have her near him on this special occasion.

"Done sir."

Viren turned round to see the balcony and his room all decorated beautifully with fresh, sweet smelling flowers and oil lamps.

"It is beautiful," he turned toward the assistant and was shocked to see Jeevika standing in front of him.

"Happy Diwali Viren!"
