Every day on TV between 8 pm and 10 pm and sometimes beyond this time, there is some crime show or other , a 30 min or one hour length, showing in detail how a person commits a crime, how the victim is found , how gruesome it was, how the thought process to commit it developed, psycho analysis etc etc.

Videogames involving voilence are in abundance. Books young children read these days are no less in hinting at subtle / detailed voilence, surprising those books are part of school library .
Dont these all have effect on youth , yound minds and also push some border line phychos to criminal activity.
In less than a month a 25 year old barges into a school killing his dad and himself, a 20 yr old troubled boy just ambushes an elementary school, taking lives of little kids who have nothing but a wonderful mind. How agonising.
But soon I am sure there will be a show , a fiction, that will telecast this incident in detail. for what benefit? worst part is some of the shows have child artists.
Responsible media is a gone case, peaceful safe world is just a dream. Where are we heading at? If it is the case now, what about future? Is there no way to make this world better? Will a ban on such games , shows and books help? or are such entertainment got nothing to do with these psychotic crimes?
it is a rant so please excuse me if the post is not well organised. It there is any such topic already this can be merged.

There is a connection.

But I wouldn't say it is a cause and a consequence. There are many factors involved in these cases of senseless violence.
