Prayers for the innocent lives lost this Friday in Connecticut.

For the ones who will be haunted by this day for years to come.

For the parents who won't be able to laugh wholeheartedly again.

A few years ago, one of our family friends lost her son to an illness.

After the funeral, people were paying their respects to her, saying "They will pray for her"

And I remember her replying to a few, "And pray for yourself, that you never outlive your children"

You would sooner pray for your own death, that is the pain of losing a child.

I cannot imagine what these parents must feel.

If kids arent safe in schools anymore, where do we go?

Apologies bashers, for this melancholic CC.

But I am still pretty torn up over the school shooting that happened here on Friday.

No one walked away from that school unscathed.

I am at loss for words.

For anyone not up to date with the shooting I'm talking about, not sure if I can post outside links here but hell.

School is one place where kids are supposed to feel safe and secure. But when even schools are not spared then we as a society need to ask ourselves questions.

I hope the US Govt take this as a cue to tighten its arms possession laws.

Exactly DKS. If someone is phacked up enough in the head to think of going on a killing spree...can we really argue we are dealing with sane people here?

What we have instead, are shooters that have access to all sorts of weapons and what not, who cant be stopped until its too late, and can walk into a school to raise hell.
