Same day at night

Anjali entered the study to talk to Akash after their dinner...she saw him sitting on the table...flipping some pages of a file...he was looking very tensed...his brows scrunched...the line of tension on his forehead...had some wrinkles on his eye sides...his free hand was moving on his hair again and again in tension and frustration...Anjali got confused to see him like that...as she knew he is great lawyer...but this kind of tension is something which is very unlike than his usual being...
Anjali was standing there for more than five mins...she knocked the door standing there...and Akash jerked...and his concentration broke...he looked at his Di...astonished and trying to hide his face...as if he got caught stealing something...Akash closed the file and cleared his face with his hand...
Akash: Di...you here??anything urgent??
Anjali: no Akash...I was just...what happened to you?? you look tensed..(with concerned)
Akash: no Di...I am absolutely fine...i mean i am good...(with a small smile on his face)
Anjali: are you sure?? becoz i don't..(cut by Akash)
Akash: of course Di..you don't worry...i am ok...btw...where is Jija-ji?? he was supposed to come by today..(looking at Anjali)
Anjali: No Akash...he is not coming...he has got some more work...and he is extending his trip...(pouting her lips )
Akash: oh...(nodded his head as he understood something)
Anjali: uff..you made me forgot what I wanted to tell you...
Akash: yeah tell me Di...
Anjali: woh...Chotte and Khushi have gone for some business trip to Palampur...and I was wondering..(cut by Akash again)
Akash: what??!! what business...i mean which deal??(shocked to hear Anjali)
Anjali: i don't know...why don't you know??(with confusion...and scrunching her eye brows)
Akash: NO...business trip?? they told you??...weird..(raising his one eyebrow making face)
Anajli: huh?? (she was getting more confused)
Akash: Di...are you thinking the same what I am thinking??(with a thinking face)
Anjali: Maybe YES...and here i was thinking how long the deal will go...and...there...they are...(she was getting excited...but cut by Akash)
Akash: let them come first...(with a side smile on his lip)
Anjali giggles like a child...
Akash: but Di..its getting late...now you should go and sleep...i have some work..i'll complete that...(with a warm smile to hide his another tension from Anjali)
Anjali: ok...good night..
Anjali left...Akash sat on the table again...looking at file...thought himself..."Singhanias...you are finish..."
At Hotel, Palampur
Lying on the white soft bed...looking at the sky...fidling with the corner of the quilt which was covering her till her waist...Khushi was counting the stars...actually the bright stars...her eyes were shining...face was bright as moon light...small smile playing in the corner of her lip...when she called Arnav...
Arnav...who was asked to count stars with Khushi by her...he actually forgot to count stars...when he saw Khushi was counting them...her eyes were twinkling more than stars...her smile was brighter than the moon...the face was angelic...her eyes were giving various expression when she was making mistakes in counting...and again starting to count...he ws watching her pouting lips...when she was playing with the stars just with her eyes...when her smiles were ligthening the night...
Arnav was watching Khushi...his head resting on his palm...holding his arm up from the bed...he was lost...he was only thinking...how can this strong, independent business lady can be so childish...and how come he never noticed these things?? why?? and why now he is noticing all these?? there is no need of these things...this noticing thing...this admiring her beauty thing...this being possessive thing when it comes to Karan...
Khushi: Arnie...Arnie...(shaking him by holding his shoulder..) where are you?? why are you not counting??(looking at Arnav with question)
Arnav: huh??(he jerked up...looking at her)
Khushi: hello?? are you here??(moving her hand in front of him...to let him know where he is)
Arnav: yeah... I am...are you done with counting??
Khushi: huh?? i am asking you...why are you not counting?? why are you asking me??
Arnav: yeah... i counted...(just answered wihtout thinking)
Khushi: really?? how many of them are bright??(with a sarcastic mode...as if hse got that he was not doing the same)
Arnav: umm...ummm...woh..(he started stammering)
Khushi: you didn't count??(making a straight face)
Arnav: actually..i counted...but i...umm...i lost trace...(making a puppy face)
Khushi: you are lying...(she saw him with the corner of eyes)
Arnav: No...how can i lie to you??(was trying to prove his innocence)
Khushi: ok...no problem...lets stop this counting...
Arnav: are you sure??
Khushi: yeah..(she smiled at him)
Arnav: ok...
Arnav was about to get up from the bed when Khushi hold his hand...and stopped him...gestured him to sit...and she got up to sit on the bed...Arnav sat beside her...asked with his eyes "what"...Khushi just nodded as nothing...
Both of them were sitting on the bed placed on the grass...in a vast garden of the resort...with some refreshments...Khushi wanted to do something very childish with Arnav...so she planned to count stars...when she brought Arnav here he was really surprised...and he got that this is how the night never gonna end...because stars are uncountable...so how the night can end so soon...when they are planning to count something uncountable...Khushi was being very kidish...and frankly Arnav let her do whatever she planned...because he knew very well that she was doing all these things only for him...
Khushi: Arnie...(looking nowhere)
Arnav: hmm?? (looking at the sky)
Khushi: you said that you know why i brought you her...
Arnav: hmm...
Khushi: why I brought you here??
Arnav: are you asking me?? (looking at her with confusion)
Khushi: hmm..(nodding looking at Arnav)
There was a silence...both of them were looking in their eyes...Khushi saw something in his eyes...his eyes were very calm...very expressive...they were trying to say something...but just not saying anything...
Arnav was watching in her eyes...they asking him questions...they were restless...they were confused...about the other pair of eyes in front of her...Arnav saw her strands were being obstacles between their eye lock...he moved them with his fingers...Khushi closed her eyes as if she was capturing those peace she just saw in his eyes...
Arnav: Khush...
Khushi opened her eyes...
Arnav: i wanted to be with you today...to celebrate my birthday...so that no one can share my this day except you...
Khushi looked at him with confusion...as it was not her answer...but what did he just say??
he only wants her...
he only wants to share himself with her...
what does that mean?? why is he saying this??
Arnav: but you wanted to be with me to get the peace...and you knew very well...that you can never get that when we were with everyone...
Khushi looked at him with soft eyes...as he was just saying her mind...
Arnav: you are thinking that what will happen when you will be with someone else...right??
Khushi just couldn't say anything...but nodded...
