Shaan's is the voice that's made a thousand hits -- from Musu Musu Hasi to Chand Sifarish to Where's the Party Tonight to Dus Bahaane!

The Loveology man began his career singing jingles for ads. Soon he graduated to singing remixes. His faultless performance in the Q Funk album (1995), the first trial at fusion in Indipop, won him a huge fan following.

However, his success was followed by a slump. When his solo album Lovelogy failed to make news, critics wrote him off as yet another talentless singer with nothing 'different' to offer. His 2005 album Tanha Dil - a mix of ballads and tunes - however, silenced everyone.

To say that there was no looking back is an understatement. The album established him as a distinctive singer and also opened doors for him in Bollywood. Shaan has sung for various films like Lakshya, Dil Chahta Hai, Kal Ho Na Ho, Hum Tum, Dus, and Salaam Namaste.

And now, of course, he is making anchoring a success. Though he had been hosting the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa show for a while, Challenge 2005 made him the sutradar of our hearts. Shaan followed up his success with Ek Main Aur Ek Tu and now, Li'l Champs -- going beyond the role of an anchor to act as mentor, guide and friend to the young contestants on the show.
