Alishba is more talented than Syra (article)

Hot model, actress and VJ Syra Yousuf recently got married to Shehroz Sabzwari. The 24 year old Syra has managed to make quite a name for herself initially as a model, VJ and now as an actress. Syra's sisters Alishba Yousuf and Palwasha Yousuf are also hot models, actress and VJ too. In her recent drama 'Bilqees Kaur' Syra played a role of daughter in law (Soha Sultan) of highly demanding and conservative Bushra Ansari (Bilqees). Syra role was powerfully written by writing team Zakir Ahmed and Faiza Iftikhar. Soha faces difficulties after the death of her parents when she had to marry Sultan (Ahsan Khan) belonging to a desi Punjabi family based in New York.

Syra Yousuf was given opportunity to work with senior actors like Bushra Ansari, Khalid Ahmed, Sadia Imam, Kashif Mehmood, Nadia Afghan and Saleem Shaikh in this play. Her acting skills were quite average in this drama that shows her lacks of expression. On most occasions viewers find her delivering mere dialogues without any emotions. On the other hand her sister Alishba Yousuf is a gem. She is a gifted actress who knows how to merge into character. Currently she is playing role of 'Arifa' in Hum TV's 'Meray Dard Ko Jo Zuban Miley'. This play is interestingly written by Bushra Ansari and directed by Adnan Ahmad. Bushra has touched some real serious issues in this play like marrying a girl to physically and mentally handicap person. Alishba's character is an emotional rollercoaster role where she has to face life's tough situations and make some really hard decisions.

Earlier she played a role of 'Sila Chaudry' in Geo TV's 'Annie ki Ayegi Baraat'. The whole drama was fun filled hangama where Alishba played a role of working women living in a happy go lucky family. She has replaced the Ayesha Omer in last two seasons of the play and done an amazing job. It would be fair to say that Alishba Yousuf is more talented and versatile actress than her sister Syra Shehroz. During recent years Alishba Yousuf has proven that she is a committed actress who can take on all sorts of characters. Her recent role of 'Arifa' in 'Meray Dard Ko Jo Zuban Miley' is the testament of her acting abilities.

Syra Yousuf is now married into one big and powerful Pakistani showbiz family. In addition to being married to budding actor turn model Shehroz Sabzwari; her father in law is a veteran actor Behroze Sabzwari and uncle film star Javed Sheikh. hehe, Alishba is better, no doubt. But Syra is new, just a couple of dramas old. She will improve and I will say that it has already been so much improvement since Mera Naseeb which was her first drama.

^^^agree with you on he has the same kind of face expressions and suits the cute type younger roles better.Have you seen them both in Tanhaaiyan naye silsile? I think Alishba is doing a great job as the serious character there...Syra couldn't have pulled off that role...but she is great as the younger bubbly sister there.
