TALAASH Drops Further On Tuesday

"Talaash" is going the way few multiplex dominated films went in past but the problem with the film is the huge pre release expectations due to star Aamir Khan. And even other multiplex dominated film which had non holiday release "Barfi!" earlier in 2012, did better than "Talaash" in terms of drop.

Film shouldcollect at least more than "Barfi!" as that is an ideal comparison which had similar sort of niche content but even a younger star Ranbir Kapoor. But that film managed 110 cr nett approx and that too looks difficult at the moment for the film.

Film continued to drop on Tuesday and few territories like Maharshtra, CI, CP and UP dropped by further 20%. Film was saved by Gurgaon, Bangalore, Mumbai and Mysore to an extent with meagre drop of 10%. As per early estimates, film should collect 5.90 cr nett on Tuesday.

Film has total of 59 cr nett plus and week one will finish at 68 cr nett approx. Overseas too film has slowed down today and film will finish around 55 cr lifetime. 2nd weekend in domestic market will decide whether this will become 1st Khan (exception of "Dhobi Ghaat" where Aamir was not the lead) starrer in few years not to cross 100 cr.
