A Hollywood debut, she'll want to forget
A part from being known as Dev Anand's protege, Mink Brar is also popular for attracting sordid attention. And this time around, the actress has willingly walked into it. Reportedly, Mink has just wrapped up shooting for a Hollywood B-grade film, titled Desert Queen, in the US.
A source revealed that Mink was under the impression that the sleazy film she shot for in America would stay in America. But with posters of Desert Queen put up at various locations in Los Angeles, the news of the film has spread like wildfire to Indian shores.
A friend of Mink told Mumbai Mirror, "Right now, Mink is still in the US. She will never reveal why she did this project."
When contacted, Mink initially said, "Are you sure I am in the poster of Desert Queen?" After sending the actress a copy of the poster, she retorted, "I don't want to talk about Desert Queen."
The film, in which Mink plays the lead role, has been directed by Henri Pachand and produced by Michael Lucas.
Before her seedy escapades, Mink essayed small roles in Bollywood films like Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain, Saat Rang Ke Sapne, Oops! and Ajnabee. Interestingly, four months ago, the actress got a call from a pimp, who tried to strike a one-night deal with her worth Rs 15 Lakh (Mumbai Mirror, March 5, 2011). While the actress was very forthcoming with Mumbai Mirror about the incident, what astonished people was her willingness to have coffee with the same businessmen that the pimp was setting her up with for very obvious reasons.
