PART 5 (B)
{MAAN's monologue..}
How the hell are we meant to know which houses were empty?
I asked Geet, but she just smiled and turned away. I bet she thought she looked all-knowing, but she just looked like she had some sort of gum disease. I grinned a little bit too, but stopped when I realized I probably looked like some stupid idiot. But it was obvious that she too had no idea. Some how we'd gotten off the road and ended up in a field, and we hadn't seen an empty house yet. Mud, yes, grass, yes, Animal holes, yes, but Houses, NO!.
"I,m So hungry!", she moaned, "I'm starving."
"You ate forty minutes ago." I hissed. NO, it was me who was hungry! I'd barely eaten, watching her eat instead. We had some spare candy bars, and they were hidden in my pocket (there were only two). Like i'd given them to her. Sorry, but who meant to be the kidnapper again? "So what do you want me to do? Go to Mc D's and get you a burger? I don't even think they have a restroom around here!"
"But I'm soo hungry!"
"Okay"
"But I'm reallyy hungry!"
"Fine."
"SUPER-HUNGRY!"
"OKAY!!!," I yelled, The ground started to tilt upwards. A hill. OH great. That would make it easier.
"Calm down, no need to shout. I was just telling you." she muttered.
I bite my cheek to stop myself from suddenly smiling. What was about her that made me want to laugh? I must be hysteric from shock and the blood I was losing from my cut. It must be pretty bad, since Geet was also staring at me.
"WHAT?!" I yelled when I caught her looking at me for the nth time. "FOR GOD SAKE! WHAT?"
She bit her lip, looking hurt.
I soften a bit, feeling guilty.
"And also, you know, I am kind of hungry."
I closed my eyes.
"What do you want me to do about it?" I asked, trying to stay calm. We are almost at top of the hill.
"I just want to tell you - Oh look a house!."
My head snapped towards the direction she was pointing at. She was right. A house.

{Geet's monologue...}
I've never been this hungry in my life. My stomach rumbled, and pain shot up through my torso, causing me to bend over. I was going to die, I was going to die... OH my god! I was actually considering eating grass. I am really going to d...
"I just want to tell you..." I said, closing my eyes in semi-anguish, "Oh look - a House!"
Maan turned.
"Oh my god," he said, "you're right!"
Okay, house was stretching it. It was more lie a little shed. Actually, how the hell would I know? My house was considered pretty big - almost big like the hotel we stayed in. Maan seemed impressed by the size, so didn't bring it up.
I was seriously about to die from hunger. I was just clinging on the single morsel of will-power. I begged Maan to piggy-back me. But he just told me shut up. He's probably upset because he is hungry too.
When we were up everything seemed way smaller, and dirty. It was red bricked with moss and green things growing all over it. Like a...Gross Lego brick. But smaller.
Am I a snob?
"It's locked." Maan said and I rolled my eyes.
"That's why It's called breaking and entering."
"what?!"
I checked that the house was empty, and I went up to the old, wooden door, readying myself.
"ON the count of three." I muttered, "1..2..3.."
I smashed the door with the sole of my boot, and hung it there, on its hinges. I turned back to Maan.
"Wow," he said, his eyes were wide. "where did you lean that?"
I smirked.
"Just some self defense tricks I picked up in a class. Nothing amazing."
He frowned.
"Then why did you let myself get kidnapped by me? You could have kicked my butt, anytime you wanted."
I gave him a smile, but then turned away, to hide the fact that my gin did not last.
"To get away from my Dad." I said, "It's kind of funny though, because right now, I think I miss him a lot."
I turned back at Maan and smiled again.
"Do you Miss your Dad?"
And he looked at me with unfathomable eyes.
"Yes."
PRECAP~~ "I want bigger bedroom."
"Because, I'm meant to be the kidnapper."
