One cannot quite judge an American version with an Indian one. There are bound to be vast deifferences. Quite apart from the fact that the original was several decades ago. Everything changes with time 😃

I have watched the original. There are differences between the two as one is made for an indian audience and the other for american. It all comes down to personal preference and for me, as good as Ali Asagar is and believe me he is funny, I found Larry Hagman's pained portrayal funnier.
